Me77: Leave them be! you don't provide jobs, the little this hard working girls are doing to sustain life, and keep themselves from vices., you still have to arrest them. For what? Did they kill anybody? Very wicked people (NDLEA). Most of these politicians are huge drug dealers, but NDLEA will never go after them. Did they kill anybody? By the time those drugs gets into the hands of urchins and they get high on the substance and be bold enough to attack you with a gun pointed at you then you will appreciate this arrest! Since they are predispose to farming, why marijuana? |

Ballmer: If HausaFulani decided they do not want alcohol it is hypocrisy but when Igbo lied that the Nigeria army is infesting them with monkey pox it is revolutionary. You people need to have your head examined. Why don't you force the alcohol down their throat now. No one is forcing anyone to consume alcohol but States implementing Sharia have no moral grounds for accessing revenue accrued from taxation on alcohol from other parts of the country that are ok with alcohol consumption. Is that revenue not Haram? |

months: LAGOS CITY, GOES BY THE NIGERIA OFFICIAL LANGUAGE.
ANY OTHER STATE IN THE SOUTH WEST, I WIL GIVE COMMENDATION FOR PUTTING RESOURCES IN PLACE TO TEACH NON-YORUBA THE LANGUAGE BUT NOT THE COMMERCIAL CAPITAL AND CITY OF NIGERIA.
DO U NEED ME TO REMIND YOU THAT THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF NIGERIA IS ENGLISH? 2 options: live with it or send your kids to your village to attend school there as I believe your community has world educational institutions. |

months: My children education is my priority and I am totally vested in wat they learn at School.
I want the best for them. I believe the time they will use to learn Yoruba, is best spent learning French.
There should be an option for non-yorubas in the City of Lagos. Learning a language indigenous to where one finds himself is not a disadvantage, it does not whittle anyone. Just for the fact of my grasping Igbo, Yoruba and Swahili I know what I have gained in terms of assignments internationally. |

months: That was my response to that fool.
Wat am saying is very simple, teach your yoruba kids Yoruba, but allow non-yorubas to teach their kids French.
The subject should be introduced with French as an option for non-yorubas. Your home is your forte, you decide what language flows in it. |

There are certain languages that are useless in the modern world.
Yoruba is one of such languages, keep it in your various states and villages. i.e. Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti Osun.
Stay out of the Federal Commercial Capital called Lagos with that trash. Don't get hypertensive because no man born of a woman can stop Yoruba language being transmitted as it seems best. If Yoruba is a dead language they have every right to revive it and anyone who has issues with that has every right to relocate his children to his home state! |

months: Igbos dont force the Igbo language on their kids.
U dont need to force a person to learn or speak a language, just speak the language and take them to the village for Christmas holidays, they will start to hear the language. Bros language transmission is conscious effort, it is not an issue of force but transmitting identity. Why should I find it uncomfortable seeing that my children speaks igbo when am not uncomfortable with the language? Languages such as English, Spanish, Italian , German. Mandarin etc that we pay for to understand it, are they not other people's identity? Are they not making effort to perpetuate them? The more a language is spoken by more people the better it's survival. |

IkpuMmadu: Even many Yoruba kids in my areas seff don't speak the language, they can't speak yoruba, maybe the parents don't like speaking the language to the kids and many Yoruba kids can't speak Yoruba ....that's a fact
So historically ,politically, culturally or economically isn't the case here it's what you can get from Lagos is the most important thing....the non Yoruba are making it same as Yoruba
I remember the music ...alaye double your hutsle no time for mgbati mgbati seff For the fact they can't speak Yoruba, the bill will go a long way in the preservation of the language as what is indigenous to Lagos is Yoruba, a fact that cannot be airbrushed despite being cosmopolitan. |
