It was more of a dictatorship relatioship and wasnt contributing financially. Recently,he tried to reach out but the effect plays back in my head . I just smile cos o have forgiven him for a whole lot but then i just dony want to have anything to do with him. If i had my way,i will do wedding without him.

He applied the authoritarian/uninvolved parenting styles which involved too much control, minimal support and not being bothered how the children are coping. children under such tend to grow up resenting such parent. They transit from fearing such parent to being angry at them and some resolve into indifference.

Such parent when they realize that the children are no longer under their control, loss of power and isolation makes them want to reconnect!

I recall way back during my psychology of parenting class, a classmate shared that she did not attend her father's burial because of the strained relationship she had with him from childhood.

It is usually scary at first but with constancy you get a hang of it. I didn't really need to go home by bus because I cut through the new garage to get to the side of my street in Ojota. So the distance from Ojota bus stop to my place was even farther than from the new garage to my place so it made no sense thus the T-fare ends up as snacks!
