The governor pointed out that justice delayed is justice denied.

He said the State government would open rehabilitation centers for those who dropped their arms and set up a truth and reconciliation panel to investigate and placate those who lost their lives and property in the course of the struggle.

Soludo said he is ready for total engagement with all parties, including the aggrieved, in the quest for peace.

He called on all genuine agitators to drop their arms and leave the forest while warning criminal elements taking advantage of the situation to hold the people to withdraw or face the full force of the law.

“We will engage with the good, the bad and the ugly, we will not discriminate against anybody.

“We need more engagement than force in solving the problems, we need peace and security in our land to make progress, we can’t continue to cut our nose to spite our face.

“All churches should announce the Monday prayers,” saying “they will also signal the end of Monday sit-at-home order that had lingered for months,” he said.

In their 8-point Communique, the body of traditional ruler and Clergy in the Southeast called on the Federal Government to free Kanu unconditionally to douse the tension in the region.

The Communique which was read by Igwe Alfred Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, condemned the Monday sit-at-home directive which started on Aug. 9 last year, describing it as self destructive and inimical to progress of the region.

The joint body regretted that even when the IPOB, under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu, had withdrawn the other since Aug. 24, killings, abductions and burning of property have not stopped.

The Communique was signed by Achebe, His Grace Archbishop Valerian Okeke of Onitsha Catholic Archdiocese, Igwe Lawrence Agbuzu, Chairman, Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, His Grace, Most Rev. Chibuzo Okpoko for Bishop and Archbishop and Prof Solo Chukwulobelu for the Anambra government.

Achebe said that they have proposed meetings with the presidency on the problem of the Southeast but had not received a response from the federal government.

He said the agitation was caused by perceived injustice against the Southeast and that only a constructive engagement would address the problems which were further hurting the people.

The body called on all injured, aggrieved and victims of the insecurity in the Southeast in the last three years to embrace the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Anambra government.

According to the body, “we recognise that there is country-wide agitation for restructuring of inter-ethnic and inter-governmental relations in Nigeria, with a view to greater inclusiveness.

“We therefore share the genuine concern over the political and economic marginalisation of the Southeast Geo-Political Zone of Nigeria, a major plank of the agitation by the IPOB.

“We call for constructive and continuous dialogue by all parties as a more sustainable solution to overcoming the challenge and win the hearts and minds of the people.
“We join our voices to the call for the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal Government in order to douse the current tensions across the Southeast.

“We call on all criminal elements masquerading as working under the instruction of IPOB or ESN to cease and desist from further acts of violence and criminality or face “theism” placeable force of law and order.

“We call on all who may have taken up arms in the belief that their grievances could be achieved only through armed struggle to lay down their arms.

“We declare Monday, April 4th, 2022, as a Day Of Prayer For Peace for Alaigbo (Igboland) and implore Anambra residents and all religious congregations to join in this important day of prayer at Cathedrals, Churches and prayer houses across the area by 11:00 am,” it said.

The peace dialogue had representatives from the National Assembly, State Houses of Assembly, Town Union leaderships, Traditional institutions, Religious institutions, security agencies, youth groups, women groups, Ohanaeze, among others. (NAN)

In the next couple of days, it would be Easter, when we remember the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. His resurrection is the reason Christians believe that Jesus lives. Indeed, Jesus is alive.

The life of Christ presents us with many lessons that must necessarily be a part of our lives as Christians.

The Lord Jesus thought us to pray. He demonstrated many times that without prayer, we might not obtain the desires of our hearts.What is prayer? Simply put, it is a way of communicating with God.

A time that one pours out his or her heart to the Creator of Heaven and Earth.According to John 1 vs.1 (KJV): “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”.Verse 14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth”.Jesus prayed when he came to dwell among us.

One of the instances that Jesus prayed is recorded in John 11: 40-42: “Jesus saith unto her, Said, I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou, shouldest see the glory of God?Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me”.

This is the story of Lazarus that you are familiar with. Lazarus had died and had been buried for four days. Physically, he ought to be stinking.In this story, Mary told the Lord that he would have prevented Lazarus from death, had he come early.

Verses 33-35 of the same chapter states: “When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit and was troubled.And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.Jesus wept”.There are many lessons for us in this short Bible passage.

First is that God is never late. Mary had concluded that Lazarus would never live again since he died and has been in the grave for four days but Jesus came and raised him up. I don’t know that condition that you are passing though, God is coming to intervene.People may have reached the conclusion that at your age, you cannot have biological children. In the physical realm, that may be true but the spiritual realm is not time bound.

Brother and Sister, weep no more, pray and be expectant, God of suddenly will show up for you in Jesus name.A second lesson is that you are not alone. God is aware of what you are passing through especially if you cry unto Him.

God that is able to turn your situation around is aware of your challenges. In this passage, we read that when Jesus saw Mary and the Jews weeping, “ he groaned in the spirit and was troubled”. That is the compassionate God for you.

God knows what you and I are passing through and is willing to turn that sorrowful situation into a joyful one.

To confirm that the Lord shares our pains, the Bible recorded that “Jesus wept”.Jesus wept because he had compassion for Mary and the other mourners.

Not because he didn’t know that Lazarus could live.In the name of Jesus, whatever has made people to write you off, will soon have a turn around that will make people glorify God on your behalf.Brethren, we must learn to pray.
Adjust your timetable in a way that you allocate some time for prayers.When we pray, we should have also give thanks for answered prayers. Why? This is because; a single service or even a day is not enough to thank God for his mercy. What am I saying?

If a couple have been waiting on the Lord for children for as long as 20 years, they would have been written off by people and sometimes, medical practitioners but if the couple have faith in God, they would continue to pray looking forward to the day of joy.

When conception takes place, prayer continues. Actually, this is the time to pray more.I recall the story of a lady, who got married and her husband’s relations vowed that she would never have children in her marriage because, her husband was expected to educate his siblings and their raising biological children would conflict with the expectation of the extended family.

Brethren, everywhere the woman, prayed she was told this. She however held on to God in prayer and service.

God intervened and she gave birth to a baby boy. Many of her husband’s relations were so dumb founded that some failed to congratulate her. Those who attended the naming ceremony wore mournful looks.

Of course for the couple it was a day of joy. They gave thanks to God and continued to do so as the baby grew. Till today with the baby over 10 years, they are still thanking God.Consistent prayers, with thanksgiving results in miracles.Do not wear mournful looks because you are waiting on the Lord for children.

Move on in your career, your studies or whatever you are doing. Never allow a challenge to weigh you down. If you fail to progress in whatever you are doing, when the children arrive, you may not be able to progress at that same pace again.

As Christians we are told in Thessalonians 5 vs. 16-19: “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Quench not the Spirit”.Never stop praying. When you stop praying, you quench the spirit.Once your spirit does not believe that a miracle is possible, you may get nothing except if God shows you mercy.Take a cue from our Lord Jesus in the story of Lazarus. He gave thanks before calling Lazarus out of the grave.

You too should give thanks for the baby or babies you are expecting.

Romans 12 vs. 12 teaches us: “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer”.To rejoice in hope simply means that you don’t have to appear sorrowful because of any challenge. Childbearing, living single when you ought to be married, health challenges or whatever. Pray and continue to rejoice in the Lord.As we wait on the Lord, we need to be patient.

Ephesians 4 vs. 2 ( NIV): “Be completely, humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love”.Brothers and sisters, you need to be patient with each other. The period of waiting puts pressure on the marriage. You need the grace of God to be above such pressure. When you bear challenges in love, you would not allow relations or in-laws to influence your attitude towards your spouse.

Once you let them know you would not discuss your childbearing challenge or politely tell them that you have chosen to wait on the Lord, they will stop putting pressure on your marriage.

Brothers, protect your home. Many of those who put pressure on you because your wife is year to bear children are what some Pastors call ‘unfriendly friends’.They pretend to share your pains but mock you behind you.

Brethren, God is never tired of our prayers.Set aside a few days to pray and fast. Continue to pray, pray until your miracle manifests.

Obaseki whose convoy touched down at exactly 2.50PM local time was accompanied by a mammoth crowd of supporters singing his praises to high heavens.
Decked in all white attires with a red facecap to match, Obaseki moved straight to the National Working Committee, NWC Hall, venue of the screening exercise.

You need to understand who wrote the books of Deuteronomy and Malachi. The book of Deuteronomy is were Moses reminds the people of the meaning of God convenat with them and a renew commitment to it's obligations, Where Moses reviews the Ten Commandments and various laws that are to govern Israel's life in the promise land. And in Malachi 3:10 did not say we should pay tenth of our earnings or first fruit , it was all made up.

What if I attended a private school of Midwifery that is now comatose, that is students are no longer being admitted, and the school is closed, due to the fact that the founder of the school is now dead, and the children of the founder and the principal are at log a heads, so everything is in a mess, and the principal ransacked the school's records office and took documents home, and now the husband of the principal is also dead, so she is out of the city where the school is situated mourning, if the principal is in possession of some documents including mine, how then will it be possible for the school to send CGFNS the validation it requires of my certificates? Any ideas? Will CGFNS refuse to process my application because of this issue with the school of Midwifery? Will they go ahead with just the information received from the school of nursing which happens to be different?

Today has marked another history in the lives of National Youth Council of Nigeria as the State Chairmen of all the South South Geo Political Zone received HILUX VEHICLE to assist in the Youths activities of their various States.

The vehicles was singular handedly donated by a Philanthropist, Mr Jack Rich a proud son of Niger Delta and was presented to the beneficiaries by the River State NYCN Chairman, Amb Sokubo today in Port Harcourt.
Present during the presentation, are some critical NYCN Stakeholders / leaders like Mr Ifeanyi Uzo who expressed joy and described the gesture as an UNPRECEDENTED YOUTH EMPOWERMENT for NYCN OFFICIALS.

This is indeed a welcome development, and we the officials in the National headquarters is very very delighted.

.Breaking news -

Today, the City of Lagos woke up very agitated, because of the confusion in the bus transporting passengers. The Traffic Police found two heads in a passenger's bag on the-Ojota/CMS - Bus route.

A young man, about 21 years old, got into the bus with a backpack, near the Maryland bus stop, passengers felt a strong smell coming from the boy's suitcase. The horrible smell made the passengers suspicious. Then one of the passengers alarmed the driver. The driver made a light signal when he saw the Traffic Police that was doing his daily round by the Ikorodu road. The police intercepted the Bus, and searched all the passengers.

Many were frightened, not knowing what was happening. One of the policemen was shocked when he opened the 21-year-old boy's backpack and found two (2) heads the boy carried in his backpack. In examining them carefully, the authorities found that they were two known heads.

It was a head of a garlic and the other of an onion.
