1) Trump has the biggest political clout, fund and support in the US today. He will win 2020 in landslides.

2) NONE of those people you mentioned love the US nor care about the interest of the people of their own countries. And NONE of them is popular in their home countries, talk less of matching Trump in effectiveness. They are hated in their home countries because they have no kids of their own and therefore no stake in the future of their respective countries and therefore are not emotionally hooked with their people as Trump is with true Americans.

They hate the US. Exploit her. Want her weaker. Fraternize with China, Iran (and even Russia). Neglected to pay their fair share for NATO until Trump brought in the big stick. Connived with Obama to trap America in bogus climate and Iran deals that would have moved the US to bankruptcy, give China unfair competitive edge, and empower Iran with nuclear power. These are all in a bid to weaken the US, empower China, and eventually build an EU super state.

So, thank you. But Trump is God's gift to America for a time like this. I've seen folks in Canada and the UK who crave they could get a leader with even half the balls of Trump.

More importantly, all sane and freedom loving people from around the world love and adore Trump very deeply. They understand that a stronger/greater America means a freer and safer world.

But you'll never know any of these though if you watch is CNN.

YorubaHero12:

Lol it dosen’t work that way. The USA is a very diverse country and it’s strength lies in its diversity and the ability to give everyone a chance irrespective of the country of origin.

I don’t know what news people in Nigeria listen to but I know if you reside here you won’t have the kind of mindset you hold about him.

He’s trying his best for his country and excelling to some extent, but he always erode his gains by being a constant bully and ridiculing the office of the presidency by his utterances.

He abused German chancellor, UK prime minister, Canadian president, France president, Africa countries in general, trade deal fights with US allies, he dosen’t believe in the science of climate change, he dosen’t like dissenting opinion hence he tagged any news against him as fake news by trying to suppress media freedom, I’m even tired of mentioning all this.

Well, just try to find out yourself.

Pay attention to their stand on Israel, Venezuela, North Korea, Iran, just to name a few. That's as opposed to the US official policies on those issues.

Also focus on the connection two of them have with Muslim Brotherhood, and the open defiance one of them shows to the US policies, the Jews, and core American values in favor of a group of terrorist sympathizers.

Start from Twitter.

Have you been following those four people he talked about? Familiar with their hateful rhetorics and endless flow of anti American nonsense?

feedthenation:
President Trump's language is nationalist, racist, divisive and very unpresidential. He is slowly damaging the republican party and giving voice to the racists.

To my fellow Nigerians who supports Trump's language, how will they feel or react is President Buhari said publicly that if one ethnic group is not happy in the North, they can leave the Northern states of Nigeria?

Only those who hate America (and hope to exploit her for selfish reasons) hate Trump.

You CANNOT truly love America, wish her well, and still hate Trump. Trump loves America.

And he's there for a time like this when godless, tyrannic idiots who hate Jesus, Truth and Freedom crave to destroy America from within.

America is God's Own Country. In God We Trust. If you hate her flag, despise her rule of law, and loath her sense of individual liberty and free enterprise, then get the heck out.

The only Nigerians who hate Trump are those who are drunk with left wing media propaganda. Trump will win 2020 in landslide and reawaken a stronger wave of nationalism globally. Shame on those who want government to replace God in their lives.

Actually, wearing masks, killings and kidnapping for ransome are the core modus operandi of the Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MOJWA). I believe this group (masquerading as herders) and their collaborator are mainly behind this new wave of insurgency and kidnappings in Nigeria.

See this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/5300770/movement-oneness-jihad-west-africa

Eteka1:
The truth is that there is no evidence to indicate that the masked gunmen that attacked Fasoranti's daughter on that fateful day were Fulani by tribe. I want you to understand this.

MOJWA released a video that referenced their ideological affinity for such figures as Al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Mullah Omar, but placed greater emphasis on historical figures of West African origin, claiming to be the "ideological descendants" of Cheikhou Amadou, Usman Dan Fodio and El Hadj Umar Tall. "Today we are inaugurating jihad in West Africa" claimed one of the militants, who spoke in English and Hausa.[7] Al-Qaeda-affiliated groups in Algeria, Mali, Niger and Mauritania had been present for at least a decade prior to the group's founding and escalated further following the 2011 Libyan civil war and the influx of weapons in the desert area.

Movement For Oneness And Jihad In West Africa (MOJWA)

Alternative Names:

MOJWA, Mouvement pour l’unicité et le jihad en Afrique de l’Ouest, MUJAO, Jamat Tawhid wal Jihad fi Garbi Afriqqiya and Jamaat Tawhid Wal Jihad Fi Garbi Ifriqiya, Al-Tawhid Wal Jihad in West Africa.

Location:

Algeria, Mali, Niger, Mauritania

Leadership:

The group’s leader was believed to be Hamada Ould Mohamed Kheirou. Other prominent members included Algerian Ahmed Al-Talmasi, Malian Sultan Ould Badi. Omar Ould Hamaha was MOJWA’s military commander before being killed by French security forces in March 2014.

Membership:

Membership consisted of fighters who broke off from AQIM in 2011. The group was made up of mostly Tuaregs, Mauritanian and Malian Arabs, as well as sympathizers from Nigeria and other Sahelian countries.

Funding Sources:

MOJWA was believed to be largely funded through its criminal activities. The group has been very active in kidnapping and ransom of foreigners, as well as heavily involved in smuggling.

Origins

MOJWA was a splinter group of Al Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) that believed in spreading jihad to regions that AQIM had previously left untouched. Specifically, they wanted to reach into West Africa and spread jihad in order to form a strict Sharia state.

The group emerged for the first time in 2011, after it claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of three European aid workers in Algeria.

In 2013, the French-led intervention in Mali led to the majority of MOJWA’s operations focusing on French and African forces in the region. On May 23, 2013, the MOJWA and al’Muwaqi’un Bil-Dima launched twin suicide attacks against a Nigerien army base and a French uranium mine in Niger, killing 25 people.

Since then, the group has merged with Al Moulathamoun to form a new organization known as Al-Mourabitoun, and is said to continue its close ties to Al Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb.

Major Attacks:

October 2011: Kidnapped aid workers from a refugee camp in Algeria

May 23, 2013: Launched an attack against the Nigerian Army base and a French Uranium mine. (25 killed)

February 7, 2014: Attacked ethnic Tuaregs near the town of Tamkoutat in northern Mali. (31 killed)

February 11, 2014: Kidnapped team of Red Cross Workers.

Ideological Roots:

The group follows the ideological roots of Al Qaida and other Islamist Jihadist traditions.

Objectives:

MOJWA wants to establish an Islamic state that follows Sharia law across west Africa.

Tactics:

Very little is known about the group except that it seemed to be heavily funded by drug trafficking and kidnapping for ransom.

Terrorist activities included kidnappings, small arms attacks, IED attacks, and suicide bombings.

Northern Nigeria’s Boko Haram

This report addresses the regional ramifications of the rise of Boko Haram and evaluates the jihadist terrorist organization as something more than a domestic Nigerian movement. The report discusses Boko Haram’s regional connections and the possibility of it expanding throughout West Africa.

The architecture for Boko Haram to become an al Qaeda wing in West Africa or part of a regional terrorist movement may already be in place. The Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MOJWA) shares the same goal as Boko Haram and is also dominated by Hausa speaking members. Armed with weapons from Libya’s caches and possessing operational ties to an Algerian-based al Qaeda faction, MOJWA may be the link between Boko Haram in Nigeria and a broader Boko Haram regional movement.

The expansion of these terrorists in West Africa, and the possibility of Boko Haram franchising, could present a future threat to Western business interests in the area and undermine the region’s fledgling democracies.

I am literally in shock. Stumbled on a paper written by an old female acquittance that I respected, only to learn about an elaborate and dedicated West African jihad network I never knew existed. Guys, I now agree that Obasanjo's recent assertion could be 100% correct

Please, just read this thread (and the cited references) in view of of what's now going on in Nigeria.

Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO)

Aliases:

MOJWA; Mouvement Pour le Tawhid et du Jihad en Afrique de L’oust; Movement for Unity and Jihad in West Africa; Movement of Unity and Jihad in West Africa (MUJWA)[1]

History:

The Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO) has origins dating back to October 2011, when Hamad al-Khairy and Ahmed el-Tilemsi founded it as an offshoot of al-Qa’ida in the Lands of the Islamic Maghreb (AQLIM).[2] Both men had previously been affiliated with AQLIM, with Tilemsi aiding in the January 2011 kidnapping of two French nationals in Niger and Khairy assisting in the December 2008 abduction of Canadian Ambassador Robert Fowler in Niger.[3]

Since its founding, MUJAO has taken responsibility for the October 2011 kidnapping of European aid workers in Nigeria.[4] In June 2014, the United States responded to these actions, issuing two $5 million bounties for the captures of Khairy and Tilemsi,[5] though neither the United States nor any other country formally recognize MUJAO as a terrorist organization.[6] In 2012, MUJAO, along with AQLIM and Ansar al-Dine, took control of the Malian cities of Timbuktu, Gao, and Kidal, although French and Malian soldiers reclaimed these territories by November 2013.[7] In August 2013, MUJAO merged with the Masked Men Brigade to form Al-Murabitoun,[8] which was designated as a terrorist organization by Turkey on June 19, 2014.[9]

Home Base:

Mali[10]

Founding Year:

2011[11]

Ideology:

Religious-Islamist-Salafist.[12]

Specific Goals:

Engage in and encourage jihad across West Africa.[13]

Political Activity:

Financing:

Kidnapping: Oumar Ould Hamaha, the MUJAO leader running security, has stated that a bulk of the organization’s financing stems from Western countries, ostensibly following kidnappings of their people.[14]

Funded by other violent group: MUJAO has received financial and material support from AQLIM.[15]

Leadership and Structure over Time:

According to the Malian army, MUJAO functions under a networked structure with sleeper cells.[16]

Founding leaders are Hamad al-Khairy and Ahmed el-Tilemsi, and Tilemsi also serves as a military leader of MUJAO, implying a chain of command within the leadership.[17]

2011-2013: Hamad al-Khairy cofounder and leader of the organization.[18]

2011-2013: Ahmed Ould Amer, aka Ahmed el-Tilemsi, cofounder and military leader.[19]

2012-2013: Oumar Ould Hamaha headed security operations for MUJAO.[20]

Strength:

January 2013: 300-400[21]

Allies and Suspected Allies:

MUJAO and Mokhtar Belmokhtar’s Masked Men Brigade carried out joint attacks in Mali in May 2013 and eventually merged into one group, called Al-Murabitoun, in August 2013.[22]
Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb

(AQIM) (allies):

The cofounders of MUJAO, Hamad al-Khairy and Ahmed el-Tilemsi, were both AQIM members before they split with the group, suggesting that the two groups may at least retain ties or remain allies.[23] The two groups fought as allies against the French intervention in Mali in 2013.[24]

Ansar Dine (allies):

Ansar Dine fought alongside MUJAO and AQIM against French forces intervening in Mali in 2013.[25]

Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA) (suspected allies):

MUJAO fought alongside MNLA forces in 2013 during the crisis in Northern Mali, but the extent of their cooperation and its continuation is uncertain. MUJAO eventually broke relations with this group as they disagreed over the strict interpretation and implementation of Sharia law in captured territory.[26]

Boko Haram (allies)

Boko Haram militants collaborated with MUJAO, MNLA, and AQIM on attacks in Mali in 2012 and 2013.[27]

Rivals and Enemies:

Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA) (rivals):
After briefly allying with this group in 2013, MUJAO broke relations with this group and began insisting upon strict interpretations of Sharia law in its territory, which is against the ideology of MNLA.[28]

Algeria (enemy):

Launched several terrorist attacks in Algeria in 2011, including the kidnapping of seven Algerian diplomats, and fought against the government forces of Algeria.[29]

Mali (enemy):

Fought against the government of Mali over territory in northern Mali in 2012 and 2013.[30]

France (enemy):

Fought against French forces in the 2013 French intervention in Mali.[31]

Counterterrorism Efforts:

International, Law Enforcement: In June 2014, the United states posted two $5 million bounties on Hamad al-Khairy and Ahmed el-Tilemsi, two founding leaders of MUJAO, following their implications in numerous kidnappings of foreigners and attacks on Western targets.[32]

International, Military:

France intervened in Mali in 2013, to assist the Malian government in regaining control of its northern territories from insurgents, including MUJAO.[33]

Domestic, Military:

The Malian military fought a long campaign against MUJAO and its allies in 2012 and 2013 to retake northern Mali, which included several battles for territory and towns such as Timbuktu, Gao and Kidal, and was eventually aided by French intervention.[34]

Different classes of white in the US? Yes, but over 70% of them have always been rooted in common Judeo-Christian/Western values. Besides, the Italians and Germans did not start migrating to the US until much later. They came in as national minority groups. Homogeneity has always been strong in the US.

Diverse Christian denominations, regardless of their differences, have very strong shared values. And their level of diversity are pretty much reconcilable. And any unreconcilable views had never been basis for violence, war or genocide in modern era. You cannot say the same about Nigeria where you have near equal population of Christians, Muslims, and Pagans lumped together artificially and forcefully as compatriots.

So if the US model is your acceptable version of heterogeneity, then there would be no such word to define Nigeria's kind of self - contradictory and irredeemably flawed diversity. Oh, by the way, EVERY major ethnic group in Nigeria already has within itself those levels of diversity that you pointed out in your counter. So lumping those complexities from those and other diverse groups in one mega state does not help nation building in any way. You guys should learn from Europe's historic and modern political structures, if you ever want to make any progress and escape chaos.

Besides, my point in the earlier assertion was not to suggest the absence of diversity in the US, but rather to highlight the fact that the US - and in fact ALL developed countries of the world - have
just a single widely dominant racial/ethnic group in its diverse demographic structure. This is very unlike Nigeria where you have 3 prominent ethnic nationalities amongst a wide array of other diverse ethnic groups.

There is no longer a country in this world where you have the Nigeria's kind of political structure. It's extractive by design and oppressive by nature.

ornicus:

The ignorance

There have always been different classes of whites in America. At different times they were despised and looked down on. Italians, Irish, Spanish, Germans, all with their different cultures. add that to religious differences Quakers, Mormons, catholics, protestants.

There was a lot of initial resistance to JFK because rather than the traditional WASP, he was Irish and catholic.

You want the homogeneity you crave, look for countries with apartheid.

I think your narrative is misleading.

No country in this world is as diverse and self contradictory as Nigeria.

The US population is over 70% white and over 70% Christian.

The second single largest racial or religious group is less than 15% of the population.

That shows that the US is way more homogeneous than Nigeria has ever been or will ever be.

Arkmanbuddy:
Let me ask you: how many tribes make up the US, can yi count all of them? US is the biggest economy and is a country of several different people from different ethnic backgrounds. How many tribes make up the Koreas yet they're so divided?

The truth is, to develop a nation requires the joint effort of a people who believe its possible, regardless of tribe and tongue. That we're not developed is not due to the fact that we're made up of many tribes but because we haven't gotten leaders with the right combination of intellectual wherewithal and ownership of this great Nation. When this happens, every other thing will fall into place.

That's just the fact!

Buhari Writes British Parliamentary Group, Denies Persecution Of Christians

Posted by Wisdom Nwedene

The Nigerian Government has denied claims by a group styling itself as Northern Christian Elders Forum, "who falsely alleged that the Muhammadu Buhari administration is practicing bigotry and alienating Christians."

In a statement made available to Igbere TV on Thursday by President Buhari’s Spokesman, Garba Shehu said the Nigerian government strongly dismissed as inconceivable and outrightly false, allusions to the effect that the Boko Haram terrorism served a government agenda against Christians.

The response by the Nigerian Government is contained in a letter to the British Parliamentary Group, signed by Nigeria's High Commissioner to UK, George Adetola Oguntade.

Two letters were addressed to Rt Revd Philip Mounstephen, a former secretary of the Church Missionary Society (CMS) and now Head, "Independent Review of Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) Support of Persecuted Christians, "and Baroness Berridge, the Chair of "All Parliamentary Group for International Freedom of Religion or Belief. "

In the correspondences, the Nigerian government strongly dismissed as inconceivable and outrightly false, allusions to the effect that the Boko Haram terrorism served a government agenda against Christians.

"It would be useful for me to engage with this process to ensure that you are thoroughly briefed on the situation in Nigeria, "High Commissioner Oguntade wrote in the correspondences.

Responding to the interim report on Foreign and Commonwealth Office Support for Persecuted Christians, Oguntade, a retired Justice of the Supreme Court, told Rev. Mounstephen:

"The safety and security of all Nigerians, whatever their faith, is a fundamental priority of the Buhari Government. The government knows that Nigeria can only achieve its potential if there is religious tolerance and cooperation."

The High Commissioner explained that President Buhari's deputy is a Pastor, adding that the President "has befriended Church leaders and church groups both within and outside Nigeria."

He added that the President’s cabinet is balanced between Muslims and Christians, noting that he himself was a former Chancellor of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion).

According to Justice Oguntade, Vice President Osinbajo has maintained regular contacts with Christian and Muslim leaders as part of efforts to build and sustain interfaith dialogue.

Stressing that the country's security challenges had no ethnic and religious colourations, the High Commissioner said the farmers/herders clashes predated the Buhari administration, noting that such clashes bordered on the desire for pasture by the herders and the desire to protect crops from encroachment and destruction by the farmers.

Oguntade explained that these clashes had a long history and the Buhari administration is taking a major step to address the root cause of these crises and violent clashes pitting Muslim and Christian farmers alike against the herders.

According to the High Commissioner, "the issue of grazing routes is historically central to these conflicts and the Buhari administration is taking a holistic approach to the matter with a view to ending it once and for all, so that Nigerians can live in peace with one another."

He, therefore, assured the international community that the Buhari Administration would ensure that "the competition over scarce land is resolved peacefully for the benefits of all parties."

The Nigerian government also rejected attempts by the reporting group to link Boko Haram terrorism with official policy, stating clearly that these violent acts by the terrorist group predated the Buhari administration, like many others that were inherited on coming to office in 2015.

The Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK said criminal groups such as the Boko Haram terrorists who kill Muslims and Christians do not represent Muslims.

"Boko Haram is a murderous death cult whose savagery has destroyed thousands of lives.

"The Government is totally dedicated to eradicating their stain from our land.

"Since the Buhari administration has been in power, Boko Haram has been significantly degraded – with the support and assistance of the UK Government. We shall not rest until this mission is completed and the people of North East Nigeria – both Christians and Muslims – can live in peace again, "he said.

The two letters were each accompanied by a copy of an opinion article signed by the President and published on November 30, 2018, by London-based "Church Times," entitled: DON’T POLITICISE RELIGION IN NIGERIA.

In the article, President Buhari, among other things, said Muslims and Christians can flourish together.

"These two great religions (Islam and Christianity) can not only peacefully coexist but flourish together. But we must first turn to one another in compassion. For as Amos teaches us: “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to meet?”.

"We must resist the temptation to retreat into our communities because if we do, our palette of possibilities will remain primary. It is only when we mix them together that we can imagine new and greater possibilities.

"As our constitution spells out, politicizing religion should have no place in Nigeria. However, it is all the more reprehensible when in doing so; it feeds fears and plays to man’s baser instincts.

"For it makes us turn away from one another; it makes us retreat into our communities and walk different paths; and it blinds us to each other’s God-given dignity, " the President said in the article published in Church Times.

Shut the bleep up.

The solution is simple: Move all of them to Niger State or Sambisa forest and build a world class, globally competitive and export capability animal farming system for them there.

You then use train and truck to sheep cows, milk and beef to other parts of the country. Not only will you enhance their skills, global competitiveness and capacity, you'd also create thousands of direct and indirect jobs just by doing the above.

Imagine the new trucks and truck drivers. Imagine the new gas stations to fuel the trucks. Imagine the new attendants to man the pump at those gas stations. Imagine the new workshops and mechanics to service those trucks. Imagine the the new spare parts trades for those trucks. Imagine the new petty traders and food vendors to serve the drivers and conductors of those trucks. And that's just focusing on the transport sector.

Establishing even a single Fuga settlement (or whatever nonsense it's called) in each state is not only irresponsible, it's grossly provocative and insensitive. For goodness sake, the entire south east is not up to Niger state in landmass. Why in the hell would anyone want to take even an iota of land there to resettle the Fulani people (who already have most of the lands in the country) if not for mischief and trouble?

For Christ's sake bring in the Israelis to teach you how to farm in the desert. Then turn the entire North West into a giant global ranch and open grazing field. Start exporting the cattle, milk and beef to the rest of the country and the entire world. Stop holding this country to a ransom. We all met each other here.

Honestly, the audacity with which you guys display your idiocy is mind boggling.

INEC has various computer servers, but definitely not the one for 2019 presidential elections. It does not exist!

What an incoherent dumb trash to spew! Better go back to school.

For the benefit of others like you:

INEC has various computer servers, but definitely not the one for 2019 presidential elections. It does not exist!

Moreover the electoral act(until amended) has stipulated how election should be collated,i.e.manually!

Server or no server can never be a decider in this very hopeless Atiku's case.

I keep on wondering whether those shouting server, server, did not watch the manual and very long presidential election results collation on television.

So the court should ignore that ,for an illegal server?

Truly PDP supporters on this issue, are either morons, or have been hypnotized not to think straight.

If the US goes to war, Russia and China will stand neutral because of NATO, else it will escalate to Word War 3 immediately.

The US is - by extreme wide margin - the BIGGEST financier of NATO.

NATO means: an attack on ONE MEMBER OF NATO is an attack on ALL MEMBERS OF NATO.

That means almost the entire Europe (including UK, Germany, France) + Canada and Australia (not to talk of Israel, Japan, South Korea and the rest) joining the US in the fight.

Where would Russia and third world China stand in such a war?

You kids should just shut up and stop talking trash on Nairaland.

That's how it took you more than 5 years to realize that rooting for APC was a wrong choice.

The current US admin is DEMANDING for a fair and just trade relations. But countries - like China and EU - which got so rich largely by reaping off the American benevolence have gotten so addicted to it that they do not wish to lift a finger and do what's right.

Thing is, China is hoping that Trump will lose reelection. But that's a huge miscalculation. Trump will win with a landslide. And China will lose good will, get worse off in terms of bargaining chip, and would have to beg or resort to going rogue. The US has already won this war.

And you guys should learn to thank God that it's the US that's the global hegemony, and not any other country - like China, Russia, Iran or even Germany/the EU.

Believe it or not, the world's continued liberty is directly tied to the continued strength and progress of the US. If you guys bring the US down, you'd bring your world down. You guys should quit taking this global liberty for granted.

If you like, weep yourself to coma, Trump has made it clear: Iran will never have access to nuclear weapon - as long as the US global hegemony remains.

As per the throttled but silly back door access to nuclear weapons, which Mr. Hussein and his gang of godless and childless western traitors gave to Iran, the US Congress vehemently OPPOSED it.

In fact the Congress Republicans wrote Iran a protest, heads up letter telling them that things do not work that way in America. They were publicly informed that any treaty with Mr. Hussein that bypasses the US congress will be written off with a stroke of pen by a new president. Mr. Hussein whined, but Mr. Trump delivered.

Is it not an unsurprising shame that terrorists in Nigeria and Nairaland are busy rooting for worlds #1 terrorist country on earth. A place where citizens are brutally oppressed by "legal" terrorists just like Nigeria is degenerating into.

Guess you'd have been happy if 150 Iranians were moaned down in one day, right? After all you are of Sunni stock.

Keep pushing that button.

Iran will soon have it's own MOAB - just like Syria got it - and nothing will happen. Just as zero reaction came from Syria (and its gangs of rogues) when it was dropped in Syria despite Iran's and Russia's silly rants back then.

Politics / Re: We Have Evidence INEC Procured, Installed, Deployed Servers - Two Groups Claim by pchukwudi: 11:43am On Jun 22, 2019
1) You are lying on that number one. Or you are talking ignorantly.

2) Your second point is irrelevant. The request was for access and audit. NOT result validation. And mind you, electronic voter verification (which requires access to server) was mandatary. And deliberate refusal to comply was enough grounds for cancelation. PDP must have access to audit the server, or the results will be canceled if INEC insist they used no server.

3) Your third point is baselessly speculative. You have no idea what illegalities the server audit will expose. That's why APC leaning INEC is in panic mode. If the server footprints would be worthless and inadmissible, then INEC would be foolish to deny its existence. The only logical reason they gambled with the denial narrative was to prevent access. They have something to hide.

ladman:

The card reader has a chip that stores information for a particular polling unit, it has no need of a server.

Secondly, no server is admissible in the Nigerian court because it is not part of what is permissible according to the electoral act.

If INEC was not permitted to use the server during the election, how can she put it forward as evidence in court?

You are talking crap.

The progress and lead that China has recorded in 5G is not because of China's innovativeness, but because of its political assertiveness and lower cost of production. The spectrum Huawe used for their 5G technology is largely owned by the military in the US and rarely accessible to the US private sector.

Contrary to your assertion, the US corporations have publicly tested several 5G operations - but largely on a bigger spectrum that's more complex and much more capital intensive than what Huawe is using.

If the US wanted to deploy the type of spectrum China is using for its 5G operations they would have beaten China to it hands down very long time ago. But they did not want to do it because doing so may expose some reserved assets of the US military operations to public interference.

Not sure what the US would do next, but you can rest assured that China is not match to the US in innovation.

Your problem is that you do not know the difference between "what was done" and "what can be done".

The reality is that it was IMPOSSIBLE for the Card Readers used in 2019 (and prior elections) to run data base applications independent of an external server.

But what do you know? You are probably a 19 year old kid who watch too many spy movies.

asfrank:

what you said earlier shows is really ignorant between the two of us. For someone who said it's impossible for Card readers to function without a sever, shows he is still living in the stone age.

Unfortunately, INEC does not use your opinion to run elections.

Better to learn quietly and be mistaken for an informed fellow, than to flaunt your opinion and erase all doubts.

asfrank:

U don't need a sever to do that in my opinion. Each card reader can programmed for a specific polling unit. I don't know what they used but each one carries information about voters for specific units, making the verification easy. There are places in Nigeria where even cell phone services are not good but still accreditation took place there.

You guys seem to be twisting this stuff so bad. To what end?

Here's the actual summary of the application, per Punch report:

The Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate in the February 23 presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, have filed a fresh application for access to information contained in the smart card readers and “central server”, which it said the Independent National Electoral Commission used for the conduct of the disputed election .

The application is very clear. Stop twisting the semantics to say what it did not say.

https://www.msn.com/en-xl/africa/nigeria/atiku-pdp-dismiss-inecs-denials-demand-access-to-server-results/ar-AABzJtg

netpro:

Atiku is asking for Server Presidential Results were transmitted to.

INEC said they don't have such server where results were transmitted to.

The question is not if INEC has any server or computers. Afterall the INEC website is on a Server.

Also the request has already been ruled upon at the Court of Appeal earlier.

Here is the link on what INEC said
https://www.nairaland.com/5242978/atiku-pdp-asking-us-server

The petitioners, through their lead counsel, Dr. Livy Ozoukwu, subsequently filed an application on May 8, 2019, seeking an order of the tribunal permitting them to access and inspect the INEC’s server into which results and other data were allegedly transmitted during the February 23 poll.
Politics / Re: INEC Server: The Easiest Way Atiku Can Make His Case by pchukwudi: 2:11pm On Jun 15, 2019
Again, Atiku filed an application to have INEC's server inspected.

INEC shamelessly DENIED the existence its SERVER - even though you just admitted (and it is clear to every normal human being) that INEC has a server.

So quit your excuses for lies, lawlessness, and government rascality. When the chips are down, you will all surfer the consequences of your sycophancy and collective stupidity.

netpro:

It is more than that. Like most big organisations, INEC can have servers and computers for office use.

Atiku needs to prove that a particular computer or server was set up and used for for the Presidential election.

INEC has a database of registered voters and other vital data. There should have a Server computer for those.

But point blank, INEC doesn't have any presidential election server with the kind of results he is parading.
Politics / Re: INEC Server: The Easiest Way Atiku Can Make His Case by pchukwudi: 1:54pm On Jun 15, 2019
Proof of server existence is very EASY.

Simple, how did INEC conduct voter verification with card reader if there was no server. It's 100% IMPOSSIBLE to do that.

If they insist that they do not have a server, they will by necessity accept that they did not do voter verification with card reader. In that case, the election will have to be canceled.

netpro:

Not exactly. Proving a Server existence is one thing (almost impossible - those that claim to have heard of server did not). Do you know it can be as simple as Dedicated server hosting account? Also Atiku needs to prove that authenticity of the results he has over the ones announced by INEC.

Then there is the biggest hurdle, the current law does not support electronic results. That was one of the provisions the amended law had. But Mr President declined.
