The election was rigged. Opposition voters were suppressed. And their votes were brazenly wiped out in many cases. But even if that's not the case, your so called victory was enabled by less than 8% of the population. How's that credible, when 92% of the population did not give you their mandate? In a sane country, that election would have been canceled. samstradam: 3 Likes |

You guys are so shamelessly dishonest. FOR YOUR INFORMATION, VENEZUELA DID NOT FAIL BECAUSE OF LOW OIL PRICE, VENEZUELA FAILED BECAUSE OF ITS SOCIALIST AND ANTI MARKET POLICIES. And if you have been paying any attention, you'd know that APC is simply an assembly of the opportunistic socialist hypocrites. Their aim is to convert this nation into a giant socialist machine, where they and their cliques will be living off the rest of the intentionally pauperized masses Back to the gist: The oil price has long rebounded and is now higher than what it was in 2014/2015 The fuel pump price has nearly doubled (since 2017) compared to what it was in 2014. Nigeria's oil output has remained very stable since the last 3 years. Yet, in spite of these positive factors, Buhari and APC have constantly failed to return the GDP back to where it was when they took over in 2015. If truly Buhari and his APC gang are fighting corruption, blocking loopholes and managing the economy well, the least they could do was to stabilize the decline of the GDP. But nope. Not only did Buhari and APC drive the economy into its first recession in over 25years, they have also nearly wiped out the middle class and drove the multitudes of investors away in droves. Mind you, unlike the clueless APC, when PDP took over in 1999, oil was about $18 per barrel (much less than what APC got since 2015). On top of that, the county was terribly indebted and isolated due to its years of military abuse. Yet, the PDP did not blame anyone. Instead, they went straight to work, assembled a team of seasoned Nigerian technocrats from around the world, fought corruption, grew the economy, brought back multitudes of investors - without going into recession once. PDP did all that from 1999 with just a fraction of what APC has been getting from oil since 2015. Yet, you ignoble goons won't quit spewing falsehoods and crappy silliness in support of an obviously failed régime with an APC tag. festacman: 3 Likes 3 Shares |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Bernie Sanders, US President In Waiting - Mr Rights by pchukwudi: 9:51am On Mar 05, 2019 |
Despite the nonstop 3-year long coordinated attacks and witch hunting driven by the global Fake News/mainstream media, the US establishment and the DNC against the person of Trump, his rigged rating presently is actually higher than what Obama had at this same point in his presidency. In fact, among the conservatives Trump's approval rating is over 80%. And, according to the liberal leaning CNBC, Trump's (42% - 48%) rating across board, "is in line with that of Clinton, Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama at similar points in their presidencies. And ALL OF THOSE PRESIDENTS WERE REELECTED". Originalsly: 1 Like |

Bernie Sanders cannot win the DNC presidential primaries let alone winning the presidency. Seems you are not getting it, right? The US WILL NEVER BECOME A SOCIALIST STATE. He may keep scamming his band of thoughtless Millennials for the time being (until the Gen Z come to age). But he will never, ever smell the white house - not even in 2024 or 2028. Joe Biden will trash him in the DNC primaries. And, running as in an independent, means he's clueless and just out to scam the gullible of of their tiny allowances from mommy again. [s] bilms: |

Politics / Re: Igbos In Lagos -read Attentively! by pchukwudi: 9:06am On Mar 02, 2019 |
Outside Lagos, there is no other state in Nigeria that has more rural development than the South East states - NONE. Many rural South East villages are more developed than some urban areas in your state. FACT. Over 60% of the manufacturing sector in Nigeria - including those in your state - are controlled by foreigners from Asia and Europe. That does not mean that Nigeria (or your home state) is better developed than any of their home countries in Europe and Asia. Igbo's are known for trading. Thus Onitsha is known as the largest market in West Africa. And the vast Majority of Nigeria's imported consignments unload in Onitsha and are, in turn, exported to other countries in the West and Central Africa. Igbo's are known as industrialists. Thus the vast segment of Nigeria's indigenous manufacturing sector is either domiciled in the South East or founded by folks from that region. In the same vein, even before the Nigerian independence, Igbo's were known to be the most migrant oriented ethnic group in the country. They were also arguably the most advanced in civil service and education; as well as the largest ethnic group in (and Enugu was the capital of) the old Eastern Region (comprising most of the present day south south, a little part of the present day north central, and all of the present day south east ). Yet that did not stop their migrant nature. So their migration has little to do with lack of opportunities, but more to do with fearlessness that emanates from their culture of friendliness to strangers. The reason you people find it so hard to migrate is simply because you treat migrants with disdain. So you are afraid of being treated the same way you treat others. Your being stuck in your region is not because you have more opportunities. In fact, as shown by the Asians Europeans, and Igbo's who control the trade and industry in Nigeria, many of those so called migrants actually have more alternative economic opportunities than your average so called host can imagine. For starters, they have talent, skill and capacity to create wealth. Take everything from them (as you once did, but I advice you not to try again), put them in a desert (but you better not), and they will still create wealth and opportunities for themselves, because, just like peak milk, it's in them. The east is actually one of the most densely populated regions in this country. Igbo's are in fact one of the most hospitable ethnic groups in the country. This is why the average igbo person can migrate freely to any part of the WORLD (not just Lagos), establish himself and still stay in touch with his/her homeland. But hopeless bigots like you are unaware of the amazing Igbo traits and their stranger-friendly cultures largely because you hardly leave your enclave. To you, life begins and ends in your state. This right there is a silly and nonsensical propaganda. Bianca is a member of "Ojukwu's family". So are her kids. " Ojukwu's family also included one of Ojukwu's sons who left APGA and joined APC. So, giving a few disgruntled and faceless political jobbers the "Ojujwu family" tag to score a cheap and bigoted political point changes nothing. Bianca, still contested in the primaries. The leadership of APGA did not deny her the right to participate. And if she had wanted she would have gone ahead to contest in the final elections via another platform - just like Ifeanyi Uba did - no one would have stopped her. In fact, many sons of the state wished the APGA leadership could quash the primaries and give Bianca the sole ticket for Anambra South. After all said and done, she chose to stick to APGA - which is her late husband's legacy. She would have left the party if the party leadership did not see her as an insider. raumdeuter: 1 Like 1 Share |

Generally, Igbo's are actually one of the most stranger-friendly tribes in Nigeria. This is actually one of the major root causes of our wide diaspora living inclination. We are very friendly to strangers in our cultures and homeland that's why we find it so easy to travel to very remote and strange lands and dwell there so fearlessly often to the bewilderment of all the other tribes in this country. The bolded is actually why I said that you are sounding very ridiculous. First, you have zero evidence to support what you are saying. So, rather than throwing up silly and false assertions, how about citing a credible news report to validate your claim? Second, who controls/regulates elections and the activities of political parties in Nigeria? The answer is: INEC. Thus, as long as you have your party's ticket to contest in an elective position anywhere in the East, no indigenous person or group can stop you from contesting. They simply do not have a say in it. For example, ADC do not have any presence in the East currently (but it has a significant presence in the South West). As a Yoruba man living in Awka all you need to do is to convince the party that's predominant in your homeland (like ADC) to give you their ticket to run for a position in your state of residence. Then, your proven sense of commitment, connectedness, and popularity in your local community of residence will guarantee your win. How many of your people have thought of doing that? Third, how many Igbo's have contested for elective positions in Lagos (or anywhere in the South West) under AD, ACN, or APC? Can you name just one? Fourthly, I know a Yoruba man who runs a big and highly successful printing press in Onitsha (right inside the famous Main Market axis). Dude served in Onitsha during NYSC and refused to go back to the South West. He's fully established there now with his own residential house and a business. A CEO of a multimillion printing organization. Mayor08: 5 Likes 1 Share |

You sound so ridiculous. You cannot be clamoring for One Indivisible Nigeria, and still restrict some Nigerians from participating in the political/electoral process any where in Nigeria. You are free to contest election anywhere in the east. No one will stop you, no one had ever stopped anyone from doing so. History has it that the first Mayor of Enugu was a Fulani man. That was BEFORE you were born. But how do your people plan to contest and win elections in the East when most of you are too bigoted to go and live there? As long as you insist on One Nigeria, Igbos (just like all other tribes) in Lagos have every right to be voted for, as well as vote for anyone they like. If you don't like it, then start a call for disintegration. Mayor08: 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Do you have any data to back this up? From the data I've seen so far: Anambra was 92% PDP (8% APC) Enugu was 87% PDP (13% APC) South East in General was about 81% PDP The 19% APC got (mostly from Abia, Ebonyi and Imo) was as a result of grassroot politicians like Umahi, Orji Kalu, Okorocha and co (plus the arewa population in those areas). The major thing about this election in the south east is the official vote destruction. The actual turnout was WAY HIGHER than what is being reported by inec. #FACT. Amarabae: 4 Likes 1 Share |

You don't know what you are talking about. Orthom left APC primarily because of the presidency's stance on Benue's anti grazing law. From the president himself, to COAS, to minister of interior to the former IG, they all ridiculed and resisted the singing of the anti grazing law. It was largely APC's lack of cooperation that made Orthom to leave. In fact, it was so bad that the Benue state APC (in solidarity with Orthom and his stance on the incessant killings) had a major face off with the national leadership of APC. All these were before Orthom left the party. Ray97: 1 Like |

If Orthom did not decamp from APC would you people still have voted against him? Why did the killings reduce after he left APC? Why does APC in general and Buhari in particular HATE Benue's anti grazing law? Are you guys so dumb that you don't care about your lives? By the way, what does the performance of your governor have to do with the presidential election? I don't care how you take it, any person that votes for the continuity of this government is either MENTALLY SICK or GROSSLY IGNORANT/IRRESPONSIBLE. Ray97: 5 Likes 3 Shares |

Lioness, below is your hateful venom against Buhari at about a year ago. What has changed? Did you hate Buhari that much simply because you disliked Osinbajo with passion? I am asking this question because of the silly and hypocritical thread you created earlier on to pitch the Igbo's against the Yoruba's. Your hypocrisy will always catch up with you. lionness: |

Hatred is blocking you from seeing the point being made. Nigeria does not end in your region. If you think you are as Nigerian (or more so) as the Igbo's, then tell us how many of your people that move to other regions to settle down, invest, and build houses. No other ethnic group do that like Igbo's. Yet, you lots keep hipping your baseless hostilities on the igbos. Tell me, how many people from your ethnic group are based in the North East, North West, North Central, South South and South East or even outside your state in the South West. The point is that, after the indigenous community in any region, Igbo's constitute the second largest group. But the same thing cannot be said of any other ethnic group in Nigeria. Your one Nigeria mantra ends only in your mouth. No actions or hard investments to back it up. The Igbo's are the primary group that have kept putting their money and energy where their one Nigeria-mouth is. And they have been doing it since independence. Not even the ills of the uncivil war could change their practical sense of patriotism. Shame on you demons. Investbrooker: 2 Likes |

That does not answer my question. You cannot insist that it's an Igbo coup and at the same time say that there are no Igbo in the south south. You need to stick to one. Here's the logic. 1) - if there are no Igbo's in the south south. - And the coup plotters were from the south south. - Then the coup plotters were not Igbo's. OR 2) - If the coup plotters were Igbo's - And the coup plotters were from south south. - Then Igbo's are indigenous to south south. CHOOSE ONE. 5thElement: 1 Like |

Do you now agree that the south south are Igbos? Because the last time I checked, 99% of those who led the coup were from the Midwest (south south) and West. Whereas, most of the military officers who foiled the coup AND PREVENTED IT FROM SUCCEEDING were from the East (south east). So what are you saying? Or do you agree to the Igboness of the south south when it affords you the chance to demonize the Igbo's falsely? 5thElement: |
