It is a shame that shameless dogs like Okupe are still existing in this nation. Lions don't feed on carcasses, only dogs like Doyin Okupe would go back to their vomits.#fresh air indeed#

If anyone is still wondering why the north is so backward, the above summarises it.

I bet those clowns have never heard of the term 'separations of power'. Bunch of ignoramuses!
PoliticsNorthern Governors Want Power To Discipline Judges by pcicero(op): 1:16pm On Aug 13, 2012
Governors from the 19 Northern states are seeking constitutional powers that will enable them (and other governors) to discipline judges serving in respective state judiciaries. Towards that goal, the governors have called for the establishment of judicial service commissions in each state. The commissions are to be empowered to appoint and discipline all state judicial officials.

In a communiqué issued at the end of their periodic meeting and signed by Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu of Niger State, the Northern Governors Forum stated that there should be a system known as the  State Judicial Commission (JSC) which appoints and discipline all state judicial officials.

If the governors have their way, then the National Judicial Council, which currently has the sole power to discipline judges, will lose such power.

In addition to demanding the right to hire and fire state judicial workers, including judges, the governors are also insisting that the local governments be put under them.

nne3870: East african, a place where survival is for the fittest. I wonder what their govt is doing to alleviate poverty and improve their living standards.... I remember followin a tv programme 'ready for marriage', so touching and it's a truestory of how ppl live over there.... Why hav children when one can't even fend 4 them?
I always feel that way too. People who can barely feed themselves just give birth with reckless abandon. I think it's about our culture and lack of proper education. But why prolong the cycle of poverty?

PoliticsRe: Where Is Alj Harem? by pcicero(m):
Dear all,
It is heartwarming to observe your keen interests in the well-being of our patron, Alj-harem. We are however concerned that unscrupulous elements might start peddling unfounded and spurious information concerning Alhaji's whereabouts.

In order to prevent this, it is however trite to set the record straight. Alhaji is hale and hearty. It is however a coincidence that he is absent during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Signed,
Bakare's outburst is a celebration of decadence. The greater regret are his followers who have failed to see where this man is taking them. This was a man invited by the SSS and given all the dignity deserving for any citizen in a decent society. Yet this man talks to the President of a nation in terms unacceptable even to a convicted criminal. Bakare and his backers have gone MAD! What does he think of his conceited self? How much richer is he compared to Jonathan? Whose origin is rich in Africa? We only need to trace a little to discover the wretchedness of Bakare. No man should be insulted on account of his possession- It is an insult on the Almighty. When the spirit left Saul on account of his departure from calling, he was possessed by a demon. BAKARE HAS DEPARTED FROM HIS CALLING AND IS NOW A SHADOW OF HIS FORMER SELF.
Reallyhuh You obviously need to acquaint yourself with the history of church reformation. Maybe Martin Luther departed from his calling when he took on the papacy at the Diet of Worms!

I don't think every preacher has to be politically correct to get your approval.

Babe, 15 years is damn too much.
I guess you should be in your 20s and he should be close to or above 40. If he still indulges in such errant behaviours when will he get it right?
Christianity EtcRe: Bakare: Only Rich Men Should Rule by pcicero(m): 4:36pm On Aug 07, 2012
Olanlere11: Pastor Tunde Bakare in his most recent teaching attributed Nigeria's problems to the fact that we have a poor man in power. In a series of declamations, Mr. Bakare asserted, “When the shoeless takes over, he does clueless things. When such men of low estate find themselves in power, terrible things begin to happen.” He added, “It is the timidity of the inferior that prods them to cover up. Deep rivers flow in silence.
If Bakare's teaching is anything to go by, what then is the fate of an average Nigerian, who has taken up education to change his social status? Is leadership an exclusive reserve of the rich? Is the prevailing insecurity orchestrated by the rich to humiliate the poor? Is it fair that a man of God who is suppose to preach equality now makes distinction between the rich and poor? Source: http://saharareporters.com/news-page/pastor-bakare-lampoons-mrs-patience-jonathan
I don't think Pastor Tunde Bakare meant riches in monetary value but riches in ideas. Our president in spite of his outstanding academic status doesn't seem to have the wealth of ideas needed to govern this nation.
