PhonesRe: Mtn Cancels Friends & Family, Zain Too by pcicero(m): 5:00pm On Aug 22, 2009
@Poster
I think i've been experiencing some issues on my Zain sim too. I sent a strong worded mail to their customer care on various issues since tuesday and as i'm sending this they are yet to acknowledge my mail not to talk of fixing the issues.

I worked in Telecom Customer Care for 4 years and i can tell you that with my experiences (ranging from inability to recharge, wrong billing for F&F and other numbers etc) as a Zain customer, the network sucks. They even charged me for calling their 111 and the dude that picked my call was an ignoramus- poor diction, no CRM skills and unable to appease a furious customer. Little wonder they sell it every quarter.

While it's true that there are network challenges every, it amounts to gross irresponsibility on Zain's part to ignore my mail. I hope their staff are reading this before i start a war against them on Nairaland.

CareerRe: Contract Staff By Banks: Can Sunusi Stop It? by pcicero(m): 3:57pm On Aug 22, 2009
@Aboki Musayah
Staff employment on contract basis is not limited to the banking sector alone. It cuts across all the most visible sectors of the economy i.e Telecom, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing etc.
Moreso, this is the wrong place to post it. Not even Money section, take it to Career. Ka jin?

PoliticsRe: CBN Deputy Gov Lose Jobs For Opposing Timing And Motive Of Sanusi's Action by pcicero(m): 3:25pm On Aug 22, 2009
PapaBrowne:
He has a pre-arranged order from the Arab funds. Those are his foreign friends he has always talked about.
Problem is, they might no longer be interested especially considering that the whole industry has lost any credibility that was built over the years.
Remember he did his Masters programme in Sudan and Sudatel has already acquired a Nigerian telecom coy. Maybe he would also assist his Sudanese Arab friends to acquire the banks.

PoliticsRe: CBN Deputy Gov Lose Jobs For Opposing Timing And Motive Of Sanusi's Action by pcicero(m): 1:54pm On Aug 22, 2009
Sanusi doesn't strike me as someone who tolerates opposing views. I see him as ultra-conservative and this might not be too good for him since no man is an island of knowledge and considering the sensitivity of his position.
PoliticsRe: Obj Remarries! by pcicero(m): 1:41pm On Aug 22, 2009
Is it OBJ that always wants to be in the news or the press would not just leave him alone because he is a readers' delight? At his age what does he want again?
I thought having bagged a degree diploma in Theology from NOUN would make him a sober person and live the remaining part of his life making amends for his past mistakes and errors of judgement.
Maybe, he just would not want any of his sons to accuse him again of admiring his daughter in laws' ikebe. abi?
PoliticsRe: Which Nairalander Would You Like To See As President? by pcicero(m): 1:24pm On Aug 22, 2009
I have a feeling that all those who have signified their interests so far are Southerners. Ikeyman/Becomrich mandate, whither federal character? Has the north promised to relinquish power come 2011 or which presidency are you referring to? so let's encourage the aboki Naralanders to nominate themselves so that they can complete their 8 yrs like OBJ did, since we know that Yar Adua can't go beyond 2011 except to abdicate to Turai grin

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nb Interview by pcicero(m): 11:33pm On Aug 20, 2009
Is the NB - Nigerian Breweries? Then check the details to confirm if your invitation is real i.e address of sender and stuff. You can also visit their website / career section and get details of people you can verify with. However, there is a thread for Nigerian Breweries on Nairaland. All the best,

No kidding.
I think i would say i don't generally mix business with pleasure. Abi? Since such relatonships would have an adverse effects on my ability to concentrate on the job. Hope i got that right and won't lose the job based on that. HR people in the house, over to you. undecided

PoliticsRe: Saraki: I Am Fulani From Mali by pcicero(m): 3:10am On Aug 19, 2009
Quote from Baba Olole (Saraki)
"People are just reading political meanings to my actions. My Islamic name is Abubakar. When were growing up in Lagos in those days, unless you were a Christian or bore a native indigenous name, you couldn’t get a school. If I wanted to be admitted to a school, I had to drop Abubakar in favour of Sola as virtually all the schools belonged to Christian organizations. It is not correct that I was changing names to garner votes. Politicians invent those kinds of stories against their opponents. You, yourself, should know who you are."
Then must you continue the deceit by naming your children - Bukola, Gbemisola, Laolu (Special Adviser to Yar Adua) all Yoruba names.
We have heard enough, if you like come from Jupiter. Do you think the Yorubas consider you as one of them? Ask Afenifere if in doubt. oloshi
PoliticsRe: Is Lamido Sanusi (CBN Governor) Pursuing A Hidden Agenda? by pcicero(m): 3:02am On Aug 19, 2009
Yar Adua and Sanusi should make good their threats of arresting defaulters now that the CBN has released the names of the huge debtors. Their inability to arrest the likes of the owner of Rahamanniya who is the President's son in law and Dangote (from Sanusi's town- kano) would expose the whole thing.
PoliticsRe: Central Bank Releases Names Of Debtors To Stressed Banks by pcicero(m): 2:57am On Aug 19, 2009
@abeem
Of course how can Wigwe and Aig Imokhuede be listed as Directors of United African Company without Larry Etah? Anyway, we know their own United Alliance Company. The question still remains why should they take from Intercontinental Bank and refuse to pay back. Don't they know what N16 billion means to the balance sheet of a bank?
Now, they would be dancing that their own bank Access was spared. Or was the money shared between them and Erastus? EFCC what are you waiting for? I'll like to see all those people on the list in your gulag angry
EducationChoose Between Uk And The Us For Post Graduate by pcicero(op): 12:34am On Aug 19, 2009
Someone is in a dilemma as to which of these two countries to go for PG business related courses.
The issues to consider are
1.cost - tuition fees,
2.feeding
3.accomodation
4. job attractivness after the completion of the studies. (very important)
Moreso, would it be very important for someone to write GMAT again for US schools after already possessing an MBA from a Nigerian university?

Please i need informed opinions about this. Thank you,

PoliticsRe: Democracy Has Failed In Nigeria -nba President -blame Military For Nigeria’s Woe by pcicero(m): 11:46pm On Aug 18, 2009
Yes, they were culpable but not entirely. The military left 10 years ago and nothing has changed in this country. Even countries that were war torn have since moved on. I am referring to Liberia, Angola etc. See what Angola has been able to achieve with the same oil money.
I read somewhere that there was a move to impeach the NBA president by some factions since the association has been polarised along AC/ PDP divides.
I am not a fan of the military institution but I want to believe that Akeredolu shifted the blame to the military when he could not continue bashing PDP and risk being impeached. I love the man and i support most of his reasonings but not this one. Ibori, Odili, OBJ, Mantu, Yar Adua, Ali, Mark, Bankole, Igbinedion, Anenih, Ojo Maduekwe (pls add to the list) and their ilks should be held accountable.

Nairaland GeneralRe: A Tribute To Seun by pcicero(m): 11:15pm On Aug 18, 2009
Do you guys know why Nairaland is the best of all blog sites? The brain behind it has a vision which he has been following with utmost purposefulness and conviction. I had an encounter with him on one of my recent posts which was a misunderstanding and lo and behold i got a private message from the Oga himself clearing the air. Isn't he wonderful? I doff my hat (though i'm not wearing one right now) for Seun. keep up the good job. Nowhere like Nairaland.

PoliticsRe: Is Yar'adua A Tribalistic President? by pcicero(m): 3:15pm On Aug 18, 2009
Na today? But we should realize that the country has six geo-political zones- 3 in the North and South regions respectively. The Northern region has a somewhat homogeneous composition whereas there is profound heterogeneity in the South. So any appointee be it from the North East, North West or North Central is viewed as Hausa Fulani in most cases. Nevertheless, Oga Umaru should watch it. The grumblings are becoming too loud to ignore cool
