Good morning, please I’m having so many issues with my Honda accord 2010 and my mechanic is making me spend unnecessarily and no positive results:

1. The car jerks when it changes gear
2. Very loud sound when i turn it on in the morning or after it has been parked for a while.
3. Car vibrates so bad when I’m in traffic and not moving.
4. I hear a metallic sound when turning, I have complained about this one countless times because I don’t want my tire to fly off on the road.
5. My fuel consumption is now so high unlike how it was before.

Please if anybody can recommend a good mechanic for me I’d be grateful, i stay around Masha in Surulere.

Roscoe's snack this afternoon, these are frozen goat spines I got from the market.
I buy them once in a while for him to munch on, they are mostly made of cartilage and bone marrow, even a pup can chew them(if you're giving them to a pup put them in a mortar and pound them first to crush them just to be safe).
the ones in the plates cost 200 naira, and it comes with some other unbreakable bones too that you can boil and use the broth for your dog's food, it also comes with meat attached to it. I give him either raw or cooked, depends on where I buy from and if I can freeze them properly
note I said goat spines not cow spines, cow spines are not soft like this

the Accord V6 doesn't consume excess fuel but it uses more fuel than a 4 cylinder Accord for the same journey in km or miles.

To make your decision look at what the difference between both is for 100km if it's negligible then you have no problem if you can easily afford the difference

Actually, it does consume more fuel but not excess...based on personal experience, considering average weekly fuel consumption of other cars I own:

2006 Civic 1.8L MT - 3K per week
2008 Civic 1.8L AT - 4K per week
2006 Accord 2.4L AT - 6K per week
2010 Accord 3.5L AT - 7K per week

From above data you can see that the fuel consumption is not alarming.

My V6 accord is equipped with VCM so I get good MPG up to 17 within town and 26 on the highway. See TripB in images below.

I use Honda type2 coolant, DW1, service with synthetic M1 oil and ensure no check engine light (very important to enjoy ECO mode) and I buy fuel from trusted filling stations. I have also installed Honda V-springs recommended for excessive rear pad wear/binding...this slightly improved acceleration and fuel consumption.

In summary, maintenance is key. An abused and poorly maintained car will consume excess fuel.

Decision to stick to I4 or not is yours to make. In my own case I needed to explore the talked about power of a V6 and its been fun so far.
