BREAKING 🚨
FIFA has announced that there will be a 3-minute break in each half of all 2026 World Cup matches!
The referee will stop the game 22 minutes into each half for players to take drinks, regardless of the temperature, the host country — the United States, Canada or Mexico — or whether the stadium has a roof and air conditioning.
** That 2nd paragraph is a tell-tale sign that FIFA and FOX (the U.S. broadcaster) want that 3-minute break to enable FOX to broadcast commercials 😂 |

Samueltemi337: In which window? The March window, because there actually space for both teams to play two matches during that period. So, theoretically, the winner of Nig/Cam would face off against the winner of Jamaica/New Caledonia |

Nehruvia: Don't quote me, but word on the street is that there might yet be another backdoor for Nigeria. I can't disclose my sources but CAF and FIFA are squabbling behind the scenes over inconsistent eligibility rules and stipulations. And guess who's on our side? 👀
I'm not even saying this as someone being hopeful because I'm honestly not sure if I want what I'm hearing to be true because it will make us the most hated and suspect country in this World Cup cycle. Are you referring to the “doubts” about Aaron Wan Bissaka’s eligibility to play for DR Congo? |

Ibime: Nigeria is defeating Mexico and South Korea in the World Cup if we had met.
I know my SE characteristics. They struggle against Africans due to underrating them, but have no problem with midranked Oyinbo teams.
Whereas most of these other African countries (except Senegal, Algeria, Morocco and Cameroun) will be bullying in Africa then go to World Cup and turn into shrinking violets scared of their own shadow.
Looking forward to seeing Cape Verde at World Cup. They have fearless attitude like Nigerians, even if their players are in lower leagues, them no dey fear anybody. I’m not so sure that these present crop of SE (except for maybe Osimhen, Bassey, and Fredericks) have the mental fortitude to withstand the overall intimidating environment and constant boos they would face from over 83,000 fans at the Azteca. The best result they would get would be a draw |

Kilishihunter: We are not serious, only Mexico could have given us problems cause of home advantage, Korea could have been matched
Colombia will disturb them with pace and intensity but I think the best result they can get is a draw cause of Portugal's quality, Uzbekistan too is one enigma cause they can defend really solidly, This current Portuguese team can even go all the way but their coach Martinez seems to be a bottler Exactly. I would have celebrated a draw with Mexico |

Despite playing 52 minutes with ten players, Chelsea had 11 shots, no opponent has done that against Arsenal in EPL this season. During the first half Arsenal had only 2 touches in the Chelsea box, their fewest in the first half of a EPL game since Dec 2021.

🚨 FIFA will test-run a new rule at the upcoming Arab Cup.
Players who require medical attention would be required to stay off the pitch for a minimum of 2 minutes, before being allowed back into the field of play. The key exception would be goalkeepers.
It’s all in a bid to cut down on diving by players.. |
