TheSuperNerd:
To be frank, Morocco have not exactly troubled Cameroon unlike Nigeria who kept them busy all through. Michaely made far more saves and was stretched more vs Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Cameroon have not conceeded from open play at this Wafcon. The only goal Michaely Bihina has conceeded came from a Mali penalty.

Wawu! These Cameroonians mean business with their defensive side.

Yes, I’m a bit disappointed with the Moroccan offense today. It’s been lackluster

AndSunGorilla:
I still think it's Flo Omagbemi.

I doubt whether she would be enthusiastic in taking on the role, after all she went through in her last stint as manager

Major props to Cameroon in shutting out both Nigeria and Morocco for 180 minutes! Not an easy feat at all

AndSunGorilla:
The Cameroonians are coached by a woman appointed just a few months ago. On a serious note, let's give our women a chance on the job.

The only realistic female option would be Ann Chiejine, one of the current Assistant Coaches.

user32:
nope .. it's Civ vs Tunisia winner

You’re right

The Junior D’Tigress will face the winner of the Cote D’Ivoire v. Tunisia game, on Friday.

FT

Nigeria 75-45 Cameroon

On to the semifinals!

TheSuperNerd:
Abeg ooo. Not safe yet for me. Let us kill it again this 3rd quarter then yeah. 2 Qtrs is still a long way.

I trust the girls

Half time

Nigeria 48-20 Cameroon

Safe to say that this iteration of the Cameroon v Nigeria game ain’t going to overtime 😂

The Junior D’Tigresses begin the 2nd quarter with a 3-pt FG!

U-18 women’s Afrobasket

Ed of first quarter:

Nigeria 20-8 Cameroon

My goodness, Elizabeth Balogun was a scoring beast in that game 🤯

We also made five 3-pt field goals in that first quarter! Despite the level of the opposition players, it’s encouraging that the team’s perimeter/3-pt shooting has improved.

TheSuperNerd:
FT Game Over.

DTigresses end the China Tour with a win. 88-77 vs Hosts, China.

Yes!
Good job by the ladies on securing a first win against a top 5 side, since beating Australia at the Olympics two years ago!

Na South Africa abi Ivory Coast we Dey play?

South Africa

solonnachi:
The question is, can we even beat south Africa?

Only with luck

solonnachi:
Kudos to the NFF and Madugu for ruining this team.

Please who are we facing for playoff abeg?

South Africa on August 13

Then, if we win, we will enter an intercontinental playoff in October, which will end in February

So it is playoff time for the Super Falcons

A combination of bad individual plays and questionable strategies were the undoing of this team

FT: U-18 Women’s Afrobasket

Nigeria 70-40 Senegal

The Nigerian girls scored EIGHT 3-pt FGs in the game! That’s a decent return

user32:
Blow up an 8 point lead...now losing by 5 in the last quarter

Damn! That’s really concerning! I couldn’t watch the game because I couldn’t info on the tip-off time. But I hope the ladies do better in the 3rd leg of the series

izzou:
Those kind of restaurants might be for laundering.

Something to cook the books.

At the end of the day, you will see that they made $15,000 in sales

That’s the only explanation, as there is no way the likes of Davido, Dangote, Wizkid, Adenuga, Otedola etc dine in there every day

Lagos restaurants should fear God nau! Wetin be this 😲

Omo, it’s another $ and Naira rain for the Super Falcons!

The women’s 4x100m final of the World U-20 Athletics Championships, starring Miracle Ezechukwu comes up, today, at 9:05pm Nigerian time.

Nigeria finished 4th in the mixed 4x100m final at the World U20 Championships in Eugene, with Tejiri Godwin, Chigozie Rosemary Nwankwo, Perfect Faye and Miracle Ezechukwu clocking a National U20 Record of 41.77s.

Ezechukwu once again closed hard on anchor, moving Nigeria from 7th to 4th with a 9.89s split.

At the tender age of 17, she now owns two of the fastest anchor legs ever run by a Nigerian woman in the 4x100m relay!!
