Is he saying Nigeria should grant Golden visa to any potential investor who plans on investing $5m and above into the country ?

If the answer is yes, does he think that Nigeria in its current state is attractive to investors enough to bring their money to invest in? I mean without stable electricity and current insecurity issues, does he think a potential investor would think investing it in Nigeria will be the best course of action?

He is being overly optimistic about the desirability of Naija to potential customers of his proposal. Yes, we all know about the insecurity and infrastructural deficit issues, and I’m not sure most of the Golden passport buyers would want to reside in Naija permanently.

So I think it would, as the name suggests, be granted to folks who want to invest significant funds (millions of $, €, £, ¥) into Naija’s economy, but still prefer to reside in their countries of origin or other countries.

Thoughts on Chief Olumofin’s idea? I know Naija has considerably more mineral wealth/Human Resources than the Caribbean nations that he referenced, but that $5 million price tag could be reduced to, say, $1 million or $750,000…
