Unfortunately nothing much will change. I think Rena rewards loyalty so she may end up taking some of the players who shouldn't be there. You can see the pattern with Sarah Ogoke. I won't be surprised if Blessing Ejiofor, Ifunaya Okoro and Vera Ojonuwa makes roster. I expect maybe 2 new additions, you'll likely see 10 players returning.

I’m 150% sure that Rena would take Blessing Ejiofor 😁

Nneka Ogwumike played at the World Cup for the USA. Please check the records. She played at the 2018 FIBA Women's World Cup in Spain against Nigeria. She has however not played at the Olympics for the USA which is sad. Arike has not played any major championship for the USA. This is a trend that is developing which Kiki Iriafen should have stayed out of by playing for Nigeria. She would be in China with Rena Wakama and our Nigerian squad. She would most likely get a shirt in the D'tigress squad for Berlin 2026. Other Nigerian-American talented female basketballers should learn from what is going on to avoid stories that touch the heart later on. Cheers.

I know Nneka has played at the World Cup; I was referring to the coaches snubbing her when it came to the Olympics.

There has to some sub-conscious ethnic bias when it comes to Team USA’s roster selections for the Olympics (and World Cup), because I’m yet to hear a convincing argument as to why prime Nneka Ogwumike, Arike Ogunbowale (Olympics) and now, Kiki, weren’t/aren’t good enough for those premier tournaments 🤷🏾‍♂️

PDPGuy is right. From Titbit 6 (reloaded), Nigeria's Super Falcons had 190 goals coming into Wafcon2026 since 1998.

So far, the ladies have bagged 9 goals at Wafcon 2026. The next goal and goals will takw them into the 200+ goals zone. Milestones coming up.

Man, that 2.84 goals/game is an insane ratio! It’s up there with the best teams in the world

So, the likes of Alozie and co that received single yellow cards, will have their cards wiped out for the quarter finals

Going to the world cup, Madugu should drop Francesca Ordega, Gloria Ogbonna, and Folashade Ijamilusi.

In - Ashleigh Plumptre, Maureen Umeugochukwu, Chioma Okafor and Nicole Payne.

This will fortify the team and make it well balanced

Ordega and Ogbonna being dropped is pretty much guaranteed, especially if they don’t feature at all at this WAFCON

They used the "the goals scored" between Malawi, Zambia and Nigeria as the tiebreaker,
and Malawi scored the most goals among 3 teams

Hope they don't try this nonsense in WC qualifiers and the AFCON

I’m with you hoping that CAF would rather utilize GD in ALL matches amongst ALL the teams in a group, if 2 or more teams have the same number of points, for the 2030 WC qualifiers!

Wrong. Based on CAF’s rules, the three teams all have the same GD from matches that they played amongst THEMSELVES. In this scenario, their GD garnered against Egypt wasn’t considered.
