Most northern groups be it NEF, CNG, NYFN etc were against power shift to the south. Go and check their press releases again. Kwankwaso is from the North. He is on the ballot. There were almost equal number of southern and northern aspirants in APC and PDP. Only Badaru from the North stepped down for Tinubu. The rest ran till the end. So I ask again. Where are you getting the idea that most northerners support power shift to the south. Most northerners that I've interacted with who support Tinubu support him because of his personality not because of any power shift theory, I can almost bet that if power shift is their main focus, they will prefer a Christian from the south. That's because most northerners believe the south is for Christians while the north is for Muslims.
