Well, I don't know how you will examine my points and verdict but I will still push it down may be u can reason from another direction and I'll drop this based on the fact that I was once an active footballer that from juvenile to FA.

Anytime I'm meant to do this kind of assessment, the two major things I consider are: Players' roles on the pitch vis-a-vis the impact they make....I don't compare striker to defender tho or goal keeper to midfielder, it's always difficult to have a fair judgement... I pick interest in same roles more eg: striker to striker, midfielder to midfielder etc.

I also compare striker to midfielder in compulsory occasions and this is an example we are trying to do here

Then, if I'm doing this right now, I will like to use just two factors which are of personal effort instead of team success or a very long unrealistic stats....the reason I go with the IMPACT players make in their various roles and that is directly connected to the numbers of goals delivered and assists made.

There's always need to find the average as well if the numbers of game played differ. Take for example in this case, Rodri played more games which was supposed to boost his chance in this comparison but no, Vini won in goals delivered with clear difference and was so so close to the numbers of assists done by Rodri....then, going by aggregate, Vini had 37 points on goals and assists add up while Rodri on the other side had 26 points..,.this is based on the stat u sent in. Coincidentally, those are the first two stats after games played.

I will like to leave you to be the judge with this my submission, probably, we might have reason to discuss further.

Here is my point; if you want to use total competitions won and overall contribution to team, give Carvajal. There is no competition Rodri won that Carvajal didn't win. But there are competitions Carvajal won that Rodri didn't win. And Carvajal's contribution to Madrid success last season was immense.
