Student loans isn't a bad idea. But I don't trust our leaders. They always see us as a joke. This will be one of many opportunities for them to milk the nation dry again. God please help us in this country, give us the grace and discernment to vote wisely. Please God. |

Romance › Re: MTN Blocked My SIM Card Of 7 Years by Peacfulmindset(op): 10:10am On Feb 14, 2024 |
UpdateI've been able to solve the problem. My line was temporarily banned and I couldn't even use it to check airtime balance, call, text or any other thing. I had to go to an MTN office with my NIN, and I was reconnected back. The reason why I was unable to connect my NIN by myself was because the SIM card wasn't registered by me initially, so the picture on my NIN and the picture on MTN database was different. Everything has been sorted out now, and I can now use my SIM card. |

Nice2023: I went to beans village at the outskirt of Abuja with the Hope I was going to buy beans at a pocket friendly price ,but i was shocked at the current price.
After having budgeted 20k for it, I got there only to be told that, the price was about 51k.
Immediately i remembered the price might further go up,I just I had to bargained and I eventually met a borno woman who sold her iron beans at 44k to me.
The inflation has finally affected everything especially food.
I wonder how it would be in time to come. From the mentions you've been receiving, I'll advise you take this up as a side hustle, and start supplying those in the east. What what I gathered, it is sold @100k+ in both Lagos and also the east, but it is sold at an average of 50k in Nasarawa. So I'll advise you use this information to the best you can because this government isn't smiling at anyone. |

Do what they asked you to do
That was the same code, I dial I did as I was asked to and MTN sent a confirmation message that my SIM has been linked to my NIN, but I'm still unable to make calls. My SIM is a 3G SIM, and they've been telling me to upgrade my SIM. I think MTN is trying to forcefully make me upgrade my SIM card. |

thesolutions: You need to go to an MTN outlet. The USSD or app submission won't work. The outlet will capture your thumb print and facial id for facial recognition. It is the new technology. Alright, thanks. I did successfully link my NIN to my SIM but I'm still unable to make calls. Going to an MTN outlet is the next move. |

Fira09: Use the online process, create your VNIN via the link then follow the instructions. Here is a link: https://nin.mtn.ng/nin/ Thanks. I followed all the instructions, but MTN is just deducting ₦20 from my airtime multiple times without remorse and they still did not send me the VNIN. I tried the NIMC app still no progress because they app isn't giving me the OTP. |

Please I need help. My SIM card of 7 years was blocked three days ago by MTN. The reason they gave was that my line was barred for not submitting my NIN.
I called their customer care number and I was asked to dial *996# and then follow the prompt to submit my NIN, which I did.
Two days after submitting my NIN, I'm still unable to make calls. Please I need help. |

1MILLIONLiGHTS: If it's done that way many will pass their subjects/course without much study. Many students do not have interests in solving questions that are more difficult than the examples given by the teachers. I'm of the options that some textbook writers, do copy and paste works without truly understanding what they are publishing. |
Education › Re: What I Leant When nairaland Went Down by Peacfulmindset: 11:35pm On Dec 23, 2023 |
YourGFsnatcher: nairaland is part of my daily routine. So when it went down, I had scattered browsing sessions. Even my GF was trolling me because she thinks I like the site a bit too much.
Here's what I learnt when it went down
1. Twitter is a great space. Haven't been a fan of twitter, but when I heard nairaland was trending on twitter, I had to check the threads and it wasn't bad. I followed nairaland, Seun and many nairaland users so I can get updates.
2. We have many aggrieved people that pretend to be happy. I saw a lot of negative comments especially from a particular region that seems to feel attacked on nairaland. For my knowledge, every region is dragged here, what I didn't know is that some regions take it more personal than others.
3. Always have a backup plan. Just like when u have only one phone and it crashes, the pain is severe. When things are working for us for sometime we tend to get too comfortable and forget that someday, something can go wrong and we are mostly unprepared for that. Thank God Seun is getting a new host to tackle such repeat.
4. Cyber-bullying is real and not everyone has a heart enough to take it. Even though nairaland is a faceless forum, many people take comment serious and perosnal. Unlike some of us that welcome all sorts of comments and never take it beyond the page, some people are hurt by some of the comments. I reas a lot of people talking about how they got bullied through some comments. We are not all emotionally strong, some of us are emotionally fragile and we should look out for one another.
Conclusion We are happy Nairaland is back, we hope it stays this way I've been a follower of Nairaland for more than 2 years but I created account today to tackle some careless statements. Enough is enough. @ paragraph 2, what do you mean by aggrieved people/region? Can't you reason above ethnic prejudice? Despite all the problems we're facing as a country, it's tribal jabs that you deem fit the most? |
