The Moral Lesson from Tonight's #TOTJUV:

It is not always over until it is over.

Tottenham was the first team to achieve a goal at the first half of the play. It was such a great celebration for the Spurs, and i guess they were carried away by the praises, along the line, they relaxed.

Juventus players did not allow their failure to weigh them down, they pushed forward to achieve 2 away goals in the second half, giving them the leverage to qualify for the next round of the UCL.

It was somewhat a sad end for the Spurs while the Italian Giants got the glory.

Truly, the last dog eats the fattest bone, it doesn't matter what you are passing through today, the future has a better thing to offer. You only need to work and pray, while patiently wait for your time to shine.

Whenever you are winning, don't be distracted by the praises, don't let the praises of men get into your head, just push forward.

When you are loosing, don't be discouraged by the shame, just persist to get your fame.

Always remember this golden word, that, "your latter shall be greater than your past".

The end will always justify the means, while sometimes, the means can justify the end: no matter what, just keep the focus.

Being the text of a Speech Delivered by the Ekiti State Representative in the Nigeria Rebirth National Development TV Programme, during the 57th Anniversary of Nigeria's Independence day.
October 1, 2017.

PROTOCOLS.
Today marks the 57th Anniversary of Nigeria's gain of independence from the British Colonial Master's rule, on the first day of October, 1960.

Her founding Fathers collectively had a dream of a country with all her ethnic nationalities peacefully coexisting together as a beautiful rainbow nation. That is, a multicultural group of people with a common destiny and with a cohersive national identity.

Those Nationalists also had a dream of a Nigeria with all her tribes having a sense of national consciousness by understanding their tribal differences, having tolerance of one another, having respect for other groups' value systems through the exposure to their tradition, culture, perculiarity and way of life.

All these structures were put in place for the Nigerian citizens to fully maximize the strength in their diversity for the pursuit of the nation's prosperity.

Let us at this point ponder over the sequence of our journey from the first Republic's Westminster Parliamentary System of Democratic Government, through the various "ups and downs", till this 4th Republic of Presidential System of Democratic Government.

I am referring to the days of groundnut pyramids in the ancient city of Kano.
Let us flash back to the days when cocoa served as the major agro-export commodity in the South-Western Nigeria.
The good times when palm oil, rubber and other allied agro-products served as the viable source of generating income to the nation's purse in the Southern and Eastern Nigeria.
Let us have a deep reflection of the good days, in the early 70s, when Nigeria gave foreign aids to South Korea, that have now risen up, overtook all within few decades, and presently one of the top ten most developed nations of the world.

At this point, we need to have a reflection of the past. We must evaluate where we are, that is, the present. We need to also aspire a better destination - the greener pasture, that is, the future.

Without much ado, my fellow Patriots, it is time for us to rise up to the task of defining and also interpreting the true meaning of the Nigerian creed as laid down by her founding Fathers.

The time is now!
We are better together!
Regardless of our ethnical background,
regardless of our beliefs,
irrespective of our political ideology:
Let us join hands together to build this great nation for the present and coming generation.

We need to always have in mind, one of our national identity: "Unity, Peace and Progress" as the Nigerian Motto.

Emphatically, for us to have a progressive, self-reliant and a sustainable economic development agenda for our dear nation, the diverse ethnic nationalities must be ready to set aside the fulfillment of their personal, political or ethnical interests for the sake of actualizing the Government's sustainable socio-economic development agenda that participatory counts on the youths' involvement in the nation building process.

Without any iota of doubt, the future of the Nigerian economy solely depends on how entrepreneurial and self-reliant the Nigerian youths are.

Poverty shall be a thing of the past in our land, unemployment shall be forgotten in due time.
All these shall be actualized if only we can rise up to the task of looking inwards to invent handy solutions to our recurring challenges rather than playing the usual "blame game" on colonisation as the impedance of the sequence of our evolutionary development in Nigeria, or putting too much reliance on other countries for sustenance. For how long shall we continue like this?

Putting all these necessary things in place, i strongly believe that Nigeria will become a fully-industrialised nation that exports more than she imports for the daily activities of her people, yielding them a high standard of living.

Not only that, Nigeria can have all her citizens duly accorded with inalienable social, political and economic benefits, regardless of their place of birth, but according to the fulfillment of the constitutional provisions. This goal can be actualized by the reformation of our Alien Policy in Nigeria.

Nigeria, a nation at a cross-road, from the present dept of wailing challenges, here is a flash of a ray of hope of a brighter future.

Together, we can take Nigeria to our collectively aspired destination. But as you may know, our will-power and decisive strength are both pivotal in taking us to the greener pasture and not only a mere desire.

So, the time to take a step is now!
In my oft-repeated maxim of national development: both the Government and the people both have crucial roles to play in the nation building process.

Most importantly, to the past and the present Nigerian Governments, i need to start by applauding all your relentless efforts towards national integration, most especially, the instrumentalisation of several programmes and policies channeled towards creating a sense of national consciousness among the diverse ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.
However, i will like to highlight seven key issues that need an urgent attention in the Nigeria of today;

1. The family: as we all know, the family is the smallest unit of the society, a platform to build the societal morals and values, while also serving as an avenue to parentally raise and build the future leaders. Without any iota of doubt, if the family fails, the national future might be at a brim of collapse.

The alarming rate of moral decadence and the rapid decline in the standard of an average Nigerian family should be speedily addressed with maximum attention.
There is a need to restore the lost moral values in our various communities, mostly among the youths and the teenagers. This is what i term as the foundation of the nation building process. The Non-Governmental organisations, the National Orientation Agency, the parents, and other Civil Society Organisations must take up the responsibilities of disseminating moral training to the Nigerian Child, while also making him aware of the Nigerian dream.

Practically, the Nigerian Child, whom i term the leader of tomorrow needs to have a deep knowledge of his constitutional rights as a citizen, right from the childhood phase of growth. The child needs to know what is expected from him as a citizen, while also being consciously aware of his expectations from the Government.

2. Nigeria needs a well-defined underlying philosophy and a re-invented national ideology in all she undertakes. Our socio-economic policies should be well-planned without any iota of myopicity, being duly experimented and properly implemented.

In line with my personal development strategy for Nigeria, each Nigerian State should have a well-planned socio-economic development policy with respect to their respective peculiarity, while also re-inventing a feasible "approach" to implement a long-term development policy under a democratic setting.

3. It is high time for Nigerians to inculcate the habit of having respect and valuable recognition for intellectual ability of the Research-oriented Educationists in Nigeria. This change of attitude will foster the phenomenon of Technology Transfer, which is the pathway to the actualisation of the dream of having a fully industrialized nation.

4. A diversified, a stable and a sustainable economic development agenda should be actively pursued by the Federal Government as being clearly stated as her constitutionalized fundamental responsibility to her citizenry.
In reference to an epic publication by Bruno Marshall Shirley, titled: The Asian Tiger from Independence to Industrialisation: "The examples of the Asian Tigers show us an alternative path to economic development: a strong central government guiding the economy forward through several distinct stages of development until it reaches full industrialisation".

5. The consumable energy and power sector should be given an urgent developmental attention. The Nigerian Researchers who are committed to the invention of an Eco-friendly energy and power generation such as bio-fuels, should be given access to an effective capital mobilisation facilities, through the means of Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Programmes or by the means of the CBN's capital mobilisation schemes.

These researchers should not only be tasked, but productively engaged and well-equipped with what it takes to invent an alternative source of consumable energy, very affordable for the common man, while also having the edge to reduce the consumptional pressure on the hydro-electric power supply in Nigeria.

6. Maximum focus should be given to the revitalisation and the development of the Nigerian Education Sector: knowing fully well that a properly educated workforce, a politically stable society, a self-reliant economy and citizens with high human development index are all the products of a sound education system.

7. The last but not the least, the Government must give maximum attention to pragmatically invent a feasible national integration strategy, either by the means of preferably adopting economic access (horizontal) or the current political access (vertical) in uniting the diverse ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. This gesture will facilitate an even access to economic opportunities by the citizens, while also fostering equal access to education, eradicate the cry of marginalisation, quench the moves for regionalism, and also annulling the feelings of hegemony among the Nigerian citizens.

To crown it all, critical attention must be given to the issues of leadership development in Nigeria, most especially the issues of management and rationalisation of the nation's resources, while also instrumentalising strategies on how to evenly distribute the wealth generated from the exploitation of the resources in question among the citizens.
In one of my oft-repeated maxim of national development: "Some countries in other continents of the world have natural disasters as the major impedance to their national development, but in most African Nations, we have leadership disaster as the impedance to our all-round development, yielding Africa the name, third world Nations".
However, it goes with saying, that, history can also be kind to us if we can write it with our hands.
Arise Africa: It is time to change this international perception by pragmatically re-writing the narratives with our hands. This goal can be collectively achieved by looking inwards to devise solutions to the recurring challenges that have kept us in the wailing dungeon of under-development for so long.

In conclusion, i implore the Nigerian private sectors and other Foreign Direct Investors to collaborate with the public sectors in maximizing the economic development potentials of our God's given arable lands, mineral and natural resources and human resource capacity for the purpose of implementing projects where resources, strength and capabilities of each player can be leveraged on, to deliver on corporate social responsibility commitments.

As earlier noted, both the government and the people both have key roles to play in taking Nigeria to the aspired greener pasture.

To the Nigerian citizens, the state-builders, we must be ready to set aside our personal economic interests for the sake of the fulfillment of the national economic interest. Be law abiding, say no to tax avoidance or evading it, patronize the Nigerian-made products while critically giving feedback to the manufacturers in order to give room for improvement and perfection. With this attitude, we can be boastful of a competitive export product in Nigeria within the shortest period of time.
Remember, a little drop of water makes an ocean.

The people, whom i term the nation-builders must also clearly understand that their votes is not only their franchise right, but also their power to install tranformationists and visionary leaders in the position of governance, which is the pathway to our all-round development in Nigeria.

The people should see all these afore-listed attitudes as their timely contributions to the nation building process, most especially, in fostering the actualization of the long-awaited industrial revolution in Nigeria.

To the Nigerian youths in specific, let us all act as the words of the 35th American President - John F. Kennedy, during his presidential inauguration speech, he said: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country".

It is my profound pleasure to close with this remark: "congratulations to the knowledgeable people of Ekiti State on the 21st Anniversary of the creation of the State. Let your "Fountain of Knowledge" spring out to the entire world. I also want to congratulate my Fellow Nigerians for the 57th Anniversary of Nigeria's Independence day".

In my oft-repeated maxim of conclusion, God on our side and with the high level of our selfless commitments, Nigeria shall actualise all her developmental goals in due season.

It goes without saying, that, research-oriented education is the pathway to the all-round development of a Nation.

FYI, in case you don't know, the National Library of Nigeria has been on an indefinite strike since late last year.
I discovered this shocking fact during my routine visit to her Head Office, in the Central Business District, Abuja, on 31st January, 2018. All the operational offices were locked.

So many questions to be answered on the issues of the citizens not having access to quality research-oriented education.

If i may ask:
How will such a basic social infrastructure be given to an average Nigerian citizen ?

With this kind of attitude, how will Nigeria actualize the goal-number 4 of the 17 Sustainable Development goals, which is Quality Education?

How will a knowledge-driven global economy that entails the exploitation of the intellectual resource capacity of the citizens be stimulated in such a Nation?

Not only that, how will technology transfer be fostered in Nigeria?

And how do we stop the recurring issues of "brain-drain" in Nigeria with this kind of attitude?

How will the recurring issues of unemployment be curbed in such a Nation, since graduates don't have access to quality and productive education?

Without any iota of doubt, the present economic melt-down being experienced in the country can be traceable to the rapid decline in the standard of education in Nigeria.

Even when most Nigerian Libraries are being visited, we often see outdated books in the catalogues, some were only relevant during the colonial era
Oh... so Naija is now a dumping ground for outdated books all in the name of book donation. Oh No, enough of that. We need to have access to modern technologies.

What about the Nigeria Universities of Technology and Polytechnics that were purposed to foster research-oriented education and Technology Transfer?
Yearly, we often discover that the spiral-binded copy of such projects by the Final Year Students are always being dumped in the baskets.
This attitude must change.

Shall we blame this on poor capital mobilisation schemes for the Nigerian Researchers or unpatriotic attitude by the citizens?

Come to think of this, a student who graduated from an Engineering department in a Nigerian University is being posted to serve is a secondary school during his NYSC programme. Will it not be okay for such a fresh graduate to practise in an Engineering/Technology firm for that period of 1 year to enable him acquire more technological skills, and at the end of the day productively contribute to the development of the Nation?

Oh... no wonder most Nigerian graduates are unemployable, not to talk of being self-reliant after passing through the 6:3:3:4 educational system.
More graduates, few industries, thereby leading to unemployment issues in Nigeria.
To solve this issue, by the means of Public-Private Partnersip and Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Programme, more industries should be established in the Nation.

A fellow, who represented Anambra State in the Nigeria Rebirth Project National Development TV Show has a vision to establish a community Library in all the 774 Local Governments in Nigeria. This is just the way forward. We need the implementation of such a developmental project at this critical point.

Emphatically, attached is the picture of a five story library that holds up to 1.2 million books, that was recently opened in Binhai Tianjin - a project by the Tianjin Local Government, China.
Here is just a simple question, how soon can all the Local Governments in Nigeria be boastful of modern Community Library? We need visionary leaders to embark on such developmental projects.

To crown it all, with respect to the recent realities in Nigeria, maximum attention must be given to the diversification of the Nation's economy. This can be pragmatically actualized by blazing a trail for a knowledge-driven global economy which entails the exploitation of the intellectual resource capacity of the citizens. Hence, a need to upgrade the old-fashioned Libraries in Nigeria to a digital and modern one.

Additionally, Technology Transfer and effective capital mobilization channels must be given to the Nigerian Researchers. Technology transfer can be referred to as the conversion of research results to marketable products by investors.

In the nation building process, the people and Government both have crucial roles to play. Take for instance, the Government only needs to create a condusive environment to put an end to the issues of "brain-drain" in Nigeria. The Nigerian experts in all professional fields practicing in the Diaspora must also be ready to take responsibility by coming back home to develop their nation with their vast knowledge and experience, while also investing in the Nation.

It is weird to know that the National Library of Nigeria which could have been the source of development of the Nation has been on strike since the past few months. This is quite uncalled for, and such an attitude is quite detrimental to the development of any Nation.

The First Representative of Ekiti State in the Nigeria Rebirth National Development TV Programme...

BY THE HOUSE OF PALM.

Being the texts of a presentation by the Representatives of Akwa-Ibom, Borno, Kaduna, Abia, Katsina and Ekiti State in the Nigeria Rebirth National Development TV Programme.

To start with, crisis management can be referred to as the diplomatic steps being put in place to resolve a brewing crisis or an ongoing conflict between two or more distinct entities.

Naturally, when two or more homogeneous or heterogeneous entities coexist together in a community, a centrifugal force tending to separate them often evolve i.e. the repulsion by some groups towards regionalism. This issue often lead to structural inbalance most especially if the Government at the centre cannot effectively manage and control the brewing ethnic regional forces for the sake of their peaceful coexistence.

Certain underlying factors often lead to conflicts between two or more groups. The level of the development of the people will influence the kind of conflict between them and this same level of human development will also determine how such crisis will be solved.

For the purpose of this presentation, we will be classifying crisis into 2 different types:

- INTERNAL CRISIS
- EXTERNAL CRISIS

In addition, ENTITY A & ENTITY B shall also be used for practical examples for the purpose of this presentation.
The imaginary entities can either depict a group of people or a nation, an association, a state, a movement, an organization and many others.
Hypothetically, the distinct entities A and B will be assumed to have different characteristics which are clearly expressed @ Table 1.0.

INTERNAL CRISIS: this can also be referred to as homogeneous crisis, which entails the conflict between two or more elements (people) of an entity with thesame characteristics such as identity, culture, tradition, value system, ideology etc.
This type of crisis seldom happen within a community, an organization, or in a group, in a quest for survival and competition.

"It is this same urge that separate us from animals, it is this same urge that has been responsible for civilization itself" - Prince UCI.

At this point, we will like to outline some causes of this Internal Crisis:

1. Scarcity of resources such as shelter, food and others.
2. Uneven access to economic opportunities.
3. Unequal access to education.
4. Poverty.
5. Deprivation of fundamental human right, such as freedom, equality, justice, security, welfare of the people and many others.

All the factors listed above can erupt crisis within a group of people with thesame identity.


EXTERNAL CRISIS: this can be referred to as a heterogeneous crisis, which entails the conflict between two or more entities with different identity, tradition, culture, value system, background and others. For a practical example, this kind of crisis often ignites when the regionalised ENTITY A & ENTITY B are being merged together, while at thesame time being ruled by a Government at the centre.

The inability of the Government at the centre to manage and control the regional forces of the ENTITIES A & B will natutally create a divisive tendency.

At this point, we will like to enumerate some of the causes of heterogeneous crisis:
1. Hegemony
2. Unequal access to economic opportunities
3. The claim of supremacy
4. Tribal discrimination and racism.
5. My house - My home mentality.
6. The politics of recognition.

We will like to briefly explain these underlying factors that can cause external crisis;

1. Hegemony: this is the excessive use of power by a group over the other ones, be it the majority or the minority in any instance. For a practical example, if Entity A is being excessively given a political power than the Entity B, then B might start reacting afterwards, thereby leading to conflicts.

2. Unequal access to economic opportunities: a situation whereby the resources of the nation is being mismanaged, irrationalized and the resultant wealth generated is being unevenly distributed among the people, this will unavoidably lead crisis between the distinct Entity A & B in the quest for survival and competition.

3. The claim of supremacy: practical examples are land disputes between bounded ethnic groups and communal clashes due to illegal territorial protectorate.

4. Group Pluralities: a phenomenon - when Entity A and B comes together to form a multicultural society, a natural centrifugal force tends towards separatism. If not properly managed, the resultant effect is crisis.

5. Tribal discrimination and Racism: whenever Entity A in any manner claims superiority over B, the resultant reaction seldom leads to conflicts if not controlled.

6. The politics of recognition: In Governance, the quest for Entity A to always be in charge over B or vice versa will natural create a divisive politics, thereby leading conflicts if not properly managed.

7. My House - My Home Gestures: In a situation whereby Entity A migrates to the community of Entity B, after spending several years of fruitfulness in B's land, yet A does not take responsibility of contributing to the B's community development. Whereas, the said "A" only visits his so called home (State of origin) during festive periods. This attitude is wrong, the nation building process is our collective responsibility irrespective of our state of origin.


At this point, we will like to enumerate 3 viable modules to solve the afore-listed internal and external crisis, out of many.

1. Proper Orientation: Entities A & B must be enlightened on the need to peacefully coexist together as one, for the purpose of maximizing the strenght in their diversity, for the pursuit of the Nation's prosperity. The NOA - National Orientation Agency needs to take up this huge tasks of strategising more effective means of educating Nigerians, in the rural and urban areas, and all cadres of citizens on embrazing tolerance of other ethnic nationalities. The citizens must also be well-oriented on having the sense of national consciousness, respect for other groups' value system, culture, tradition, way of life, ideology and other.
This is the new message, "Love must be our new Lingua Franca in Nigeria" - JOS

2. Reformation of the Nigerian alien policy: if the Entity A migrates to the territory of B, A becomes an alien therein. In such a situation, what will be constitutional provision of Entity A's inalienable economic, social and political rights and benefits in B' territory? All these laws and policies should be well defined with the effective implementation and enforcement. Hence, there is a pressing need for an effective National Integration policies in Nigeria - the pathway to human development.

3. Using a mediator for diplomatic resolution of conflicts between two or more groups; this is a viable method to manage any brewing crisis or an ongoing conflicts in various Nigerian communities. An intermediary could be employed by either of the party in settling such uprisings, enlightening both parties on the need for peaceful co-existence.

We will end this presentation by this: "the desire to be important has always been the deepest urge in human nature".

You mean i have just spent 3.5 days out of my previous 365 on Nairaland?

FYI, the truth of the matter is that the time spent was not a waste and really worth the while.

I am somewhat addicted to Nairaland at a point, "i wake up with it" and also "sleep with it" always keen to read every line of the FP feeds.

Nairaland: Informative and educative and i am so proud that something good is coming out of Nazareth.

At a point, i tryna convince people to join Nairaland for being richer in content than most prominent social media platforms, but they gonna be like "u be stakeholder for Nairaland ni??." lolzzz

However, during the course of my previous 365 days, i went for a National Development reality TV Show where i represented my State at the National level for 2 months, without a phone and internet. I must confess that the only thing i missed most was not having access to Nairaland FP feeds... I tryna convince my associates of the potentials of Nairaland, having the edge of reaching out to Nigerians as target audience for adverts whenever i publicly speak... tho...

#Super37, you know we don’t like praises, but atimes, we can’t just dare to say NO, if the world insists.

Season’s greetings to my comrade from the Industrial State of the Eastern Nigeria;

My Brother from the home of the largest Automobile Manufacturing hub in West Africa, in Nnewi,

The Home of the first indigenous Car Manufacturing Company in Nigeria, the Innoson Motors,

The home of the first wholly made-in-Nigeria motocycle, the ‘NASENI M1’ in same Nnewi,

The man from the home of Ifeanyi Ubah FC, the best Private Football Club in Nigeria with its own Standard Stadium,

The man from the home of one of the Largest Market in West Africa,

No other person but The Labour Room Governor of Anambra State.

In response to your perception about me; the Ekiti people whom I represented in the Labour Room National Development Reality TV Show will not only see this, but coming generations will read about these stirring words inscribed with golden pen of yours on our hearty wall of diamond.

However, here is another pointer that a wise man’s words are more valuable than quantifiable possessions, and such words can only be cherished by such an epitome of the fountain of knowledge, who I am.

I can vividly recall that, during the sequence of our synergizing together in the Labour Room Mansion to birth the dream of a new nation Nigeria; you were a prime source of motivation, encouragement and inspiration to the people within and outside. In addition, apart from being the longest serving Chairman of the Labour Room Executive Council, your prowess and astute style of leadership, complemented with your knack to carry your subjects along is such a gesture worthy of emulation for any leader eager to be successful.

During our 60 days stay in the Labour Room Mansion, together we watched the inspiring movie, titled; “The Men Who Built America”. By the matter of fact, we all know that if Nigeria must be termed as a fully developed nation in the next few decades, the youths must be given the leverage to actively participate in the nation building process.

Without any iota of doubt, with someone like you and other 36 Labour Room Governors, coming generations will undeniably read about “The Men who Built Nigeria” and the history will definitely be kind to us because we have written it with our hands in the Labour Room with respect to our long-term economic development plan aimed at stimulating a sustainable economic development in Nigeria.

We will also change the narrative that the country - Nigeria is no longer a mere product of European imperialism, but a nation purposed to be a great one by God.

As we all know, all known successful nations were built with both material-based men and the idea-based men. If Nigeria will be referred to as a fully developed nation within the next decade, the idea-based men must be given the platform to actively participate in the national growth process.

As we all know, my primary developmental goal for Nigeria is to blaze the trail for a knowledge-driven global economy that counts on the maximization of the intellectual resource capacity of the Nigerian citizens.

However, the change we have been craving for is imminent and the table will soon turn in the favour of dedicated Transformationists in Nigeria.

In conclusion, Mallam Chinedu himself, the only Holy man of the Labour Room Reality TV Show, and the fourth wise man from the East - I always applaud your wealth of experience and outlandish exposure, having visited some of the Asian Tigers and the Tiger Cubs nations.
Only someone like you can deeply comprehend the vision and the mission of the NICTIP Initiative, which is to recreate some tested solutions that worked for the Asian Tigers in actualizing a Tiger economy in Nigeria. Hence the title of the investors’ handbook; “A SUSTAINABLE TRANSFORMATIONAL AGENDA IN NIGERIA”, supported with www.nictip.com.

All the selected contestants did a thorough auditioning and assessment process for more than eight months.
The requirement is that you can only represent your state of origin irrespective of your age or status. The economic importance is to stimulate a sustainable social, political and economic development in Nigeria. lastly, the programme was funded by patriotic citizens; Nigeria Rebirth Project.

THE HISTORICAL 60 DAYS WITH MORE THAN 60 DISTINCT EXPERIENCES.
Here’s a brief report of the various exposures, experiences and skills gained by the # Super37 . These thirty seven Labour Room Governors, who represented all the Nigerian States including the FCT, for the 60 days, selflessly travailed in the Labour Room to birth a new nation – Nigeria. The resultant effect of their collective efforts will be serving as a catalyst to foster socio-economic development in Nigeria in due season.
During the course of their stay in the mansion, several invited guests, dignitaries, professionals, experts, political icons, movers and shakers, captains of industries and several other notable invitees were present in the mansion to ensure the well-grooming and right-seasoning of these future leaders.
1. November 16, 2017 – The Grand Finale of the Labour Room National Development TV Programme. The Honourable Minister of Information and Culture – Alhaji Lai Mohammed visited the Labour Room Mansion to crown the 60 days travail of the #Super37 Governors in the Labour Room. During the interactive session, he emphatically stated that; “we must invest in infrastructure because it is the backbone for development.” He further noted that; “Our perception is that we look at people in the creativity and music industry as people who are less important, we do not encourage our children that have talent.” Out of several others, he also noted that; “I am lucky to be here today because what bothers most of us is who we will hand over the baton to.”
2. November 15, 2017 - Alistair Soyede, The Mentoring Commandant,The Chairman and the Founder of the First Black Television Station in Europe - Ben TV, London visited the # TheLabourRoom
. He discussed about the Nigerian and African Brand in the Diaspora.

The discussion was themed; “A chat on the Nigerian Economy & the growth of SMEs in Nigeria.” He noted that; “the greatness of this Nation is in its innovation… this is a genuine task you are taking.” He emphatically noted that; “the best place to do business is in Nigeria, especially if you are a Nigerian.”
58. September 27, 2017 - Prof. Pat Utom – A Nigerian professor of Political Economy and Management Expert, the Founder of the Lagos Business School visited the Labour Room mansion with his wealth of professional experiences. He Inspired the #Super37 Labour Room Governors on Leadership.
59. September 25, 2017 - On that busy evening, some serious looking panel of judges landed in the Zuma Conference hall for a pitching exercise for the #Super37. All the Labour Room Governors pitched for the unveiling of investment opportunities in their various states to the highly esteemed assessors.
60. September 24, 2017 - Jeremiah Gyang visited the labour room mansion with his crew to do a live performance of his hit tracks to the #Super37. (MC Sustainable) - The Ekiti State Labour Room Governor also played a solo on his harmonica to supplement his guitar strings.
61. September, 2017 - Prof. Omowumi Iledare had an interactive session with the #Super37. The discussion was themed; “A chat on Energy, power Generation and Supply in Nigeria.”
62. September 22, 2017 - The Popular Nollywood Actor aka Andy – Kenneth Okonkwo by name, visited the Labour Room Governors in the Mansion. He noted that; “when people are faced with challenges, they either drop or use it as a stepping stone.”
The popular Nigerian Comedian – Seyi law also visited the #Super37 in the labour room mansion for a dinner. He also emphasized on the role of youths in the nation building process.
Notably, on September 17th, 2017, during the official door opening ceremony of the Labour Room at the International Conference Centre, several notable invited guests and dignitaries graced the occasion with their attendance. To mention a few; The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello gave a motivating speech, Nollywood Actress, Monalisa Chinda Coker also graced traced the occasion with her presence, The British Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Paul Arkwright was present at the official door opening ceremony, The wife of the Zamfara State Governor, Mrs. Asma’u Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar also graced the occasion with her presence and so many other notable icons.

A brief report of the experience gained as the Representative of Ekiti State in the just concluded National Development TV Programme.
After the 60 days travail in the Labour Room with 36 other vibrant youths (who represented all the Nigerian States, including the FCT) with the focus to give birth to a Super Nation – Nigeria. I am so pleased to inform you that the experience was worth the while.

The Labour Room Programme itself was primarily designed to be an experimental model of the workability of the Nation – Nigeria. At the end of the 60 days, I can rightly conclude that, if all the diverse ethnic nationalities in Nigeria could peacefully co-exist for such a long period of time for the purpose of the national interest, maximizing the strength in their diversity for the pursuit of the nation’s prosperity; then I can rightly infer that, truly, a United Nigeria is realistic.

At this point, I can confidently tell Nigerians that I am a WINNER; the reason being that, I now have what it takes to take Nigeria to her aspired greener pasture. If they ask who are we? Tell them that we are the #Super37; a catalyst to a sustainable social, political and economic chain reactions in Nigeria.

As we all know, a tree doesn’t make a forest; I, with the help of other Nigerian Youths selflessly synergized together, with the aim to act as a catalyst in fostering a sustainable economic, social and political chain reactions in Nigeria. Mother Theresa once said, “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”

I am at this phase confident to tell the knowledgeable people of Ekiti State and Nigerians at large that I now have developmental ideas that have the capacity to save the Nigerian economy from the brim of collapse.
Indeed, the whole Labour Room experience was more than a mere conventional reality TV Show; to me, it was a National Development TV programme, while also serving as a platform to have a well-seasoned social, political and economic exposure.
To my readers; how far can you go for your country? How much of your energy can you expend for the nation re-building process? What is your patriotic and selfless contribution to national development?

As for me, here’s my redefined nationalistic definition of Patriotism; 60 days without a phone, without an access to the internet, without an access to a clock and ultimately without an access to the pleasure of the world, but primarily team-working with other Nigerian ethnic nationalities and fully maximizing the strength in our diversities for the sake of National Interest. “Indeed, successful nations were borne out of no time and no woman in labour gets herself engrossed with the pleasure of this world” - @jawolusy.

Ask yourself, can you go to that extent for your country? By the matter of fact, Nigeria can only get out of her present dungeon of under-development until all her citizens are ready to selflessly participate in the nation building process.

Imagine these wonderful experiences; from the repulsive, though necessary morning wake-up call by Ebonyi LR Gov, to the daily morning devotion by both Muslims and Christians, to the Labour Room Governors’ Executive Council meetings, to the early morning sanitation tasks, to the ethnic dining table, to the Herbert Macaulay lounge to attentively listen to invited dignitaries, to the pitching exercises, what about my entertaining moments of singing, playing the harmonica or the piano? and many other interesting chronicles. I can’t just dare to forget Commando so soon; his early morning work-out rekindled my body-fitness status. How soon can the #Super37 forget the disciplinarian lessons on how to manage their emotional responses?

And to crown it all, I will be the most ungrateful creature if I don’t publicly appreciate God for the gift of life and also for the good health given to me for the 2 months of my stay in the Labour Room mansion, in spite of the demanding research tasks and the sleepless nights of getting the “PALM HOUSE” assignments done. No course to see the doc at the basement! Indeed Rapha is my healer.
Here are few out of several invited dignitaries who visited the #Suer37 in the Labour Room mansion;

Unforgettably, Fela Durotoye came to visit us in the Labour Room mansion, where he charged us for more than 2 sleepless hours.
What about the awesome visit of Don Pedro Obaseki? One of the most intelligent Edo record-breaker, who became a Professor at the Age of 21; his power talks unimaginably commands total attention of the listeners.

Mohammed Danjuma also had an interactive session with the #Super37, where I refreshingly replicated his explosive quote; a philosophy for political leaders’ adoption.

The Deputy Senate president of the Nigerian National Assembly – Senator Ike Ekweremadu also visited the #Super37 in the Labour Room mansion, where he freely gave and also signed an autograph of his recent book titled; “who will love my country: Ideas for building the Nigeria of our dreams. I must confess that this said book is still the best socio-political book ever read by me, of a recent. On the last day of our stay in the Labour Room,

The Nigerian Minister of Information – Alhaji Lai Mohammed also visited the mansion, where he emphasized on the revitalization of the Nigerian education sector by declaring a state of emergence while he also addressed the issues of national development.

Several captains industries visited the mansion, they charged us up, they mentored us, they examined us and they also prepared us for the tasks ahead. It’s also about taking responsibility.

How soon can I forget the DAUNTING tasks by the Toastmasters International?; where my Delta brother got the crown as the best Speaker in the mansion. I’m on the verge of becoming a good public speaker!

What about the surprise visit of the Director General G of the National orientation Agency?

What about the amazing visit of Mutiu Adepoju – the famous Super Eagles’ number 8 accompanied with the present Super Eagles’ Goalkeeper and other officials?

Should I talk about the surprise visit of the SDGs Officials? The SSA to the President on SDGs and her entourage had a productive interactive session with the #Super37.

The owner of the Ben TV – London, Alistair Soyode – the Mentoring Commandant also gave the #Super37 an expository interactive session.

A profound activist – Hamzat Lawal also came visiting the #Super37 with his wealth of experience in offering humanitarian services.

What about the visit of the NAPTIP Director General? Not to even start the cool experience of having Her Excellency – the Wife of the Kebbi State Governor in the Mansion accompanied with her Medicaid entourage?

Several other serving Legislators in the upper and in the lower chambers also came visiting.

Oh! I cannot forget the unforgettable visit of the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, where he mentioned that; “we were once your colonial masters, but we are now your collaborators.” While also recommending timely solutions to Nigeria’s wailing challenges.

I once played my harmonica with Jeremiah Gyang during one of his visitation to the Labour Room Mansion, I cannot start the narratives of all these chronicles right now, just watch out for my next written work, I bet you won’t find it boring.

Several OAPs – On Air Personalities also came around; the likes of Matilda Duncan from Rhythm FM, Nyanga from WaZoBia FM, impressively, the #Super37 had jovial and lively moments with the OAPs … Nyanga indeed!

The President of the Ijaw Youths Council worldwide also came visiting on 10-11-17.

Several former Nigerian Governors also visited the mansion to share their views on how to foster national and economic development in Nigeria.

The popular Nigerian Comedian – Seyi law also came around to dine with the #Super37. It was quite an unforgettable moment.

Most of all, the visit of an inventor - Michael Friday (who talked about the viability of Naija-made product) is quite unforgettable.

The present Miss Nigeria also came to the Mansion to meet with the Labour Room Executive Council… oh! A re-pondering of the; “How dare you governor”, for the Bold & Brilliant Adamawa himself… smiles!!!

Most of all, the good times of Jonney Rocket will always refresh in our tummy every Wednesday evening.

Emphatically, during one of the interactive session of the #Super37 with the British high Commissioner to Nigeria – Mr. Paul Arkwright, he clearly stated that; “South Korea and Nigeria were at the same level, just 30 years ago.” He further identified one of the underlying facts that led to the drastic economic revolution of the Asian Tiger, being boastful of several competitive export products.

Here’s my opinion with respect to this popular discourse; “it is time for Nigeria to stimulate a paradigm shift from a crude-oil driven economy by blazing a trail for a knowledge-driven global economy. This is one of the timely solutions that can rescue Nigeria from the dungeon of under-development, poverty and from her glaring level of under-achievement amongst her equals. We must take 4 key factors into cognizance here; Infrastructural development, rapid industrialization, massive exports and minimal imports.

To this effect, it is my pleasure to once again introduce to you my personal development project – The NICTIP initiative – ( www.nictip.com ) – A Sustainable transformational Agenda in Nigeria – serving as my timely contribution to the development of my dear nation – Nigeria.
The 4 cardinal targets of NICTIP is to actualize the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 16th & 17th out of the 17 SDG goals (which provides a new framework to approach sustainable development) in Nigeria within the projected period. Respectively, No Poverty, No Hunger, Good health, Quality Education, Renewable Energy, Good jobs and Economic growth, ‘Industry, Innovation & infrastructure’, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption, Peace and justice and Partnership for the goals. A recent report shows that Sub-Sahara African Countries and South-Asian Countries are under-achievers among other nations in the actualization of the MDG – Millennium Development Goals. For Nigeria to actualize more of the SDG goals within the projected time-frame, a National ICT Industrial park which is the proposed innovative and creative hub must be established in each Nigerian State, by means of the active participation of the citizens through Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Programme and by the means of Public Private Partnership. The focus is to stimulate a knowledge-driven global economy in Nigeria for the improvement of the citizens’ livelihood while the Government also creates a favourable environment for investments.
Concerning the recurring issues of negative media perception about the Nigerian youths; i am so pleasured to note that the #Super37 have changed the wrong narratives within their 60 days successful stay in the Labour Room Mansion. Indeed, a good thing can come out of Nazareth. They won’t tell the world that Nigerian youths can sacrificially accomplish such an intellectual engagement with maximum discipline, focus, selfless service, dedication, and for the love of national interest. Technology now uncontrollably makes everyone a journalist in this jet-age. However, this is my message to the Nigerian youths; the usage of the social media can either make or mar the Nigerian reflection, it is time to change the existing wrong impression by telling the world about the laudable activities rather than capitalizing on the infinitesimal pinch of stain in our national white garment. This will foster international relations while also creating a beneficial environment for FDI – Foreign Direct Investment in Nigeria.

However, during the course of my stay in the labour room mansion, I freely released the PDF version of my investor’s handbook, titled, The NICTIP initiative; A Sustainable Transformational Agenda in Nigeria - @ www.book.nictip.com – my timely contribution to the national development. My pleasure is to have the Nigerian Government and other private organizations implement and actualize all the 4 cardinal targets analyzed in the NICTIP book, for the purpose of fueling a knowledge-driven global economy that counts on the active participation of the Nigerian youths in the nation building process.

As I round up, the 4 cardinal targets of the NICTIP Initiative remain the same;

3. Modern Manufacturing Technology; for a practical example, the establishment of the Ekiti State Modern Manufacturing Technology Centre (ESMMTC) - for the purpose of producing competitive export products in Nigeria, by replicating the tested solutions that worked for the Asian Tigers’ actualization of a sustainable economic development.
4. Internet Revolution; for a practical example, the establishment of the Ekiti State Intellectual Revolution Initiative (ESIRI) – for the purpose of positively maximizing the intellectual and digital skills of the Nigerian youths for job creation.

Lastly, amidst the ups and downs of the Labour Room grand finale event on the 16th November, 2017 and with respect to the outcome of who wins, all I have to say is that; “the memories of yesterday will not stop me and the pain and shame of today will not define me”. In addition, here’s my tranquil word for Nigerians agitating for the unexpected results of the Labour Room Winners; “I have learnt and also preached what the true meaning of inculcating a sportsmanship spirit depicts during the course of my stay in the Labour room mansion, at this dilemma, how soon and how far can I practice what I have learnt and which I also preached? The time is now, if not for anything, but ONLY for the sake of national interest. We should stop looking at what we don’t have, we MUST be grateful to God for what we have.

Some underlying facts about this programme.
As from 17th September, 2017, a league of carefully selected Nigerian Youths from each Nigerian State will be housed in a mansion with the aim of engaging in a think-tank interaction with a focus on solving critical issues facing Nigeria's development by pragmatically innovating timely, scalable and sustainable solutions. The will be watched on local and international TV Stations (to be unveiled soon).
As part of the critieria to meet up with the standard of the programme, each of the contestant representing his or her State has been given several tasks, among which is to innovate an idea that has the potential to create thousands of job opportunities in each Nigerian State. To this effect, the NICTIP initiative has been innovated by me as my timely contribution to the development of the nation as a sustainable transformational agenda. You can get more details at

Basically, the #Super37 are going into the mansion for 60 days for 3 core objectives (as communicated to them in their previous assembly);

- National Development: As earlier explained, the major goal of the Labour Room TV Show is to serve as a platform for the Nigerian Youths, to have a participatory leverage in the process of developing the nation. This will be achieved by blazing a trail for an intellectual revolution in Nigeria.
- Entertainment; The programme is also structured to bring out the hidden treasures of the Nigerian Youths to the lime-light by unveling their entertaining skills and God's given talents to the world. Drama, Music, Cultural display, Dance and many more genre of entertainment should be expected from the #Super37 during their stay in the mansion.
- Competition: Here is the permutation. The 37 contestants will be grouped into 6 different houses, with 6 contestants in each group representing his or her geo-political zone, while the FCT Minister will be randomly fixed up in one of the groups with a fixture criteria best known to the organizers of the programme. 4 winners representing 4 of the 6 geo-political zones will emerge after passing through the ups and downs of the labour pain for 60 days. As noted by the organizers of the programme, all contestants are winners by default: the Top 4 standing being publicly considered with the most lucrative and job-creating idea will be given seed capital to set up a local content driven company. As noted by the organizers, all the 37 contestant shall be automatically employed in the organization, not only that, each Nigerian state will also be a beneficiary of the dividends of the Nigeria Rebirth's Labour Room programme.

To start with, the chapter 4 of the Pediak Book titled; "Empowering Youths With 30+ Lucrative ICT ideas" talks about the e-Sport - 3D Video Games Live Streaming.

The NICTIP Initiative: A Sustainable Transformational Agenda in Nigeria.

The proper planning and implementation of a feasible national integration strategy is the first step in building a nation.

Governments over the years often employ political access as a national integration index to unite the diverse ethnic nationalities constituting her nation.

According to Dr. Abdullahi Adamu; “There are other indices of national integration without which access to political power would be meaningless in the long run. Our access to economic opportunities is as important as our access to political power. Political access is vertical and therefore admits only such number as can be accommodated at the top of the ladder at any point in time. On the other hand, economic access is horizontal and, therefore, has more room for more people than political access”. [1]

Inspired by the ideology above, the NICTIP Initiative is a workable economic development model for all the Nigerian States, including the FCT. It is also a handbook for potential investors to maximize economic access as a national integration index in fostering a sustainable transformational agenda in Nigeria.

Both indices are dependent on each other; the status of the political access directly affects the economic access and vice versa.

Political access entails the implementation of policies and programmes that synchronize the diverse ethnic groups in the nation by ensuring the participation of all the ethnic nationalities, while economic access entails the establishment of investments, businesses and industries with well-representation of higher ratio of all the diverse ethnic groups in a country as participants in order build a multicultural society with peaceful coexistence.
So far, the use of policies and programmes such as; federal character policy, establishment of Unity schools, creation of NYSC, sports, education systems, and others have been unable to integrate the diverse ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.

In the recognition of the strength in our diversity in Nigeria, it is high time we adopted economic access as a tool to unite the diverse ethnic groups by establishing ICT industrial parks in all the Nigerian States with participants/workers from different ethnical backgrounds being posted to serve in the geo-political zones other than theirs.

The proper planning and effective implementation of this capital project will foster a sense of national consciousness among the diverse ethnic groups in Nigeria. The aftermath is national unity and respect for racial differences, encouraged inter-ethnic marriage, and tolerance of other ethnic groups that can ultimately foster the revitalization of the rapidly degrading value system in Nigeria.

If there is unity, there will be peace, and if peace exists, there will be progress and the aftermath will be a sustainable transformational agenda in all the Nigerian States. The NICTIP initiative is therefore a workable transformational model for the Nigerian Government, by practically exploiting economic access as the national integration index as recommended in this written work.

I hereby present to you, The NICTIP Initiative – The establishment of a National ICT Industrial Park in each Nigerian State. My goal is to have Nigeria as a true “giant” of Africa in terms of a self-reliant economy.

Conclusively, there is an urgent need for a transportation revolution in Nigeria, in order to foster the phenomenon of urbanization of various communities targeted for micro-industrialization and modern manufacturing technology in an attempt to create a pathway for a sustainable transformational agenda.

This investor’s handbook contains the action plans that will help facilitate the all-round transformation of Nigeria from its current state to a developed nation.
It addresses the workable model of some tested solutions that worked for the Asian Tigers in actualizing an industrial revolution via a sustainable economic growth.

THE EKITI STATE ICT INDUSTRIAL PARK; A SUBSIDIARY OF THE PROPOSED NATIONAL ICT INDUSTRIAL PARK (NICTIP)

Historically, the present day Ekiti State was an independent entity prior to the British conquest. Today, it is one of the many states in Nigeria. Unfortunately, this well-endowed state with agricultural land values, mineral and natural resources, tourist attractions and human resources still rank as one of the States with the lowest GDP in Nigeria in terms of PPP – (Purchasing Power Parity) as compared to others.

It is time for Ekitians to maximize their educational potentials as an engagement tool for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) development. Not only in the field of ICT, but also in Modern Manufacturing Technology in order to enhance the diversification of the state’s economy and in-turn improve the standard of living of the people.
As a Technologist and a Mechanical Engineer, the creative instinct in me has thrown-up several implementable and lucrative ideas. One of such ideas is the proposed Ekiti State ICT Industrial Park (ESICTIP) Initiative for the industrialization of Ekiti. This will improve our GDP and will also create jobs.

In reference to an oft-repeated maxim of mine recited by an Ode-Ekiti Elite, Prof. Mobolaji E. Aluko of Chemical Engineering Department, Howard University, Washington, DC, in a paper presented on Ekiti Day, 2003; “The production of wealth in any geographical space involves the application of intellectual capacity and human raw power aided by appropriate technology to material resources below, above and on the land on which the human beings reside. The beginning of wisdom in assessing the wealth prospects and challenges of any such geographical space therefore involves an assessment of its human and raw materials endowment. The distribution of such wealth is then a function of the level of participation of the human beings, and the intervention of government to see to its fair and equitable distribution among its contributors or potential contributors”.

The ESICTIP Initiative is projected to aid the infrastructural development of Ekiti State within the first twenty months of operation, this will in-turn enhance the state’s PPP – purchasing power parity and increment in the GDP index as compared to other Nigerian States.

Finally, Since the current realities in Nigeria is sending a strong signal that States need to look inwards to provide solutions to their problems rather than rely on the Federal Government. The proposed National ICT Industrial Park is here recommended to be established in all the Nigerian States as a timely intervention.

This socio-economic development initiative is a self-sustaining and a practical solution that will build the capacity of each Nigerian State.
