BEING A TRANSCRIPT OF A PRESENTATION BY THE HOUSE OF PALM DURING THE JUST-CONCLUDED LABOUR ROOM NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (60 DAYS) REALITY TV SHOW IN THE NIGERIAN FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY, ABUJA.

They told us!
They referred to us!
They stigmatized us!
That we were, and that we are still the third world nations.
Africa! Ponder over saddened history,
Ruminate over your lost cultural value systems,
Your traditional institutions were disrespected, used, exploited and dumped.
Africa! Ponder over your besmeared identity,
Motherland Africa, several decades after gaining independence,
You are still being tagged us as an under-achiever amongst your equals.
What about your uncertain future?
Think about the destiny of your unborn kids?

Nevertheless,

Remember the Asian Tigers (Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan) were not endowed with natural and mineral resources as most African Nations, but guess what? Guess what?
These nations rose up to the task of fighting against their economic challenges by jointly blazing a trail for a sustainable economic growth tailored towards their full industrialization few decades after gaining independence.
The economic development experience of these Asian Tigers is what I call; “from Independence to Industrialization”.
These nations maximized their comparative advantages in order to become the economic giant of East Asia.
Remember the Taiwan Miracle!
Taiwan is now a fully industrialized nation after scaling through distinct stages of economic growth.
Oh Motherland Africa,
Remember the South Korean History!
She is now the major player in the field of electronics production, mover and shaker in the sector of Information and Communication Technology, Automobile productions and other allied services.
That is her comparative advantage!
East Africa, West Africa, North Africa, South Africa and Central Africa, tell me now! What are your comparative advantages?
Here is another strategy to fight this war! African nations, Arise! It is time to maximize our distinct comparative advantages to for the advancement of our Motherland Africa.

Singapore moved to the final phase of development by the fulfillment of Stamford Raffle’s original vision for Singapore as the trade and financial hub of South-East Asia.
Hmmm! Just one man! hmmm! Just one man’s vision made a whole nation to experience a paradigm shift from being an under-developed one to a fully advanced nation.
Just one man!
Most African Nations need only just one man, I mean just one visionary leader to take the people to the aspired destination. Just one man to lead the war against under-development in our land.
Can you feel my pain? Can you feel the present state of my emotional destabilization?
Just one leader!
Just a visionary leader’s ideology,
Just one futuristic leader’s economic development policy sustainably developed Singapore for decades.
So! why not Africa?
We must go into war right now!
We are about to fight against our numerous challenges,
Prepare your Arsenal,
But before we go into war, let me provoke you; let me provoke you to war.
Permit me to remind you the story of some of the tiger cubs, that is, Malaysia and Thailand.
Few decades ago,
They were also called names,
I mean, they were referred to as under-developed nations,
But they went into battle,
They fought, they fought, and they fought.
They fought against their shames, they fought against their poverty, they strived against their wailing under-development by discovering, by exploring, by exploiting and by maximizing their comparative advantages in Agricultural practices. Thailand focused on large scale production of rice as a competitive agro-export product, while Malaysia focused on the massive production of palm oil as an agro-export product.
Africa! Africa! Africa, to strategically fight the war against hunger in our land, we shall be replicating some of the tested solutions that stimulated the economic success of the Tiger cubs in our land. That is, Agricultural Revolution!
Here is another call of duty!
African Union! Arise!
You need to also join us in this battle.
Let us jointly save the black nations from the edge of collapse,
We must war against racism and ethnical discrimination in our land.
We say NO to Xenophobia!
Brothers don’t kill brothers!
Brothers don’t leave brothers!
Africa Nations, we are blood, we are one!
Let us embrace peace, love and unity for the advancement of our continent. The African diversity should be a blessing and not a drawback.
Therefore, Africa Union! Arise!
Rise up to the task of instrumentalizing, implementing and enforcing an effective alien policy in Africa.
In a simpler term;
If a group of dwellers migrate from the North Africa to the South or from the East to the West Africa, what shall be their inalienable social, political and economic rights and benefits? For how long will such stigmatized aliens dwell in the foreign land to be entitled to their inalienable rights accorded with due socio-political benefits?
The reformed African Alien Policy must be clearly defined, constitutionalized and enforced if the African nations will productively work together in actualizing a self-reliant economy for an improved standard of living.
Africa nations shall no longer be termed as under achievers in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, only if the people can peacefully coexist together while at the same time maximizing their diverse comparative advantages for a sustainable development.
African Leaders, African Youths, Captains of Industries, Stakeholders, Private Investors and Foreign Direct Investors, you all need to prepare your Arsenal right away to engage in this developmental war against Africa’s under-development.
We must jointly war against the wailing under development in our lands, we must war against skin discrimination, it is time to war against hate speeches, we must fight against xenophobia, this is the pathway to develop the African economy and to actualize the goals of “The Africa We Want”. In reference to my maxim of national development; “if peace exists, all-round development is certain”.
Prepare! Prepare! Prepare your Arsenal.
We are ready to go to war now!
But before we go, let me remind you of the great exploits of our Founding Fathers; the Nationalists and the Pan-Africanists, I mean our trailblazers that selflessly fought for the sake of humanity.
Oh! I am so delighted in the developmental philosophy of Sankaraism; I mean the economic and national development policy of Thomas Sankara of Burkina Faso.
The likes of Nelson Mandela of South Africa,
Nkruma of Ghana,
The likes of the Nigerian Nationalists and other reputable African Leaders.
Just one man is needed,
Just one Revolutionalist,
Just one Transformationist,
Just one visionary leader is needed to fight the war against under-development and take the people to the aspired greener pasture.
“The examples of the Asian Tigers show us an alternative path to development; a strong central government guiding the economy forward through several distinct stages of development until it reaches full industrialization”.
Motherland Africa!
Prepare your Arsenal, we are going to war, we must war against under-development problems in our land.
The task is hanging on us like a sword of Damocles.
They gave us independence several decades ago, but we are still having some iota of neo-colonialism in our land.
We still import petty and cheap consumable products like biro from France, Rice from Thailand and most annoyingly importing the likes of toothpicks from China.
Oh No! How did we get to this point?
A sober reflection of the past,
A deeper thought about the present,
And a foresight into the future.
We are on the way to the battlefield; here is another ideological strategy to engage in this developmental war - The 4 cardinal targets;
1. Agricultural revolution in Africa
2. Democratization of Education in Africa
3. Modern Manufacturing Technology in Africa
4. Internet/Digital Revolution in Africa
The goals of these 4 cardinal targets will be actualized by adopting the former United State’s President Barrack Obama’s Techno-economic development policy – Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Programme. The special type of partnership between prominent research-oriented academic institutions ready to embark on productive research works with established firms ready to foster the phenomenon of technology transfer. The products of the research works by these educationists will be accorded with due capital mobilization scheme by these well-established industries for the purpose of converting the physical model of the research works into marketable and exportable products.
We need to act now!
Africa Arise!
Take your place!
Oh motherland Africa!
You were born!
Born to reign!
Born to win!
So rule your world!

Unveiling the EFCC FC is one of the most fascinating soccer news of the month of May. The trailblazing stride is somewhat another assurance of better days ahead of the Nigerian local sporting systems.

However, I have been following several reactions by Nigerians with respect to this recent development. As for me, it is such a timely idea, considering the fact that this innovation might turn out to be the light after the tunnel for various challenges that has been bedeviling NPFL in meeting up to international standards. Without any iota of doubt, massive sanitization is needed in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

In case you don’t know, my research results have clearly identified several factors that are so strange about the NPFL as compared to any other football league in any part of the world.

The first is the “Home No Dey Loose” mentality by the home team fans, players and coach. This is practically unacceptable in an ideal society for being totally against the rule of sportsmanship spirit in terms of fairness.
Right now, let us see if the presence of the EFCC FC in the NPFL will be able to sanitize these crude behaviours, while also restoring normalcy to the Nigerian Sporting System.

Explanatorily, the oddest fact about the Nigerian Professional Football League is that, no matter how strong the Away Team is, it can never win the Home Team (only in few exceptional cases). The effect of this is just that if an average team can strive to win few away matches, such will win the league at the end of the season. Hence, the NPFL table and form can be easily predicted, while non-challenging with few sense of creativity. This issue has been sending a wrong signal to the outside world concerning the NPFL.

Until we address the numerous underlying facts that have led to these challenges, we might be wallowing in the dungeon of under-developed sporting system in Nigeria.

It should be noted that Sports Tourism has the potential to curb youth unemployment in Nigeria, while also significantly adding to the country’s GDP and GNP. Brazil is a good example. Hence, there is a pressing need for Home-based Sports Development in Nigeria.

Apart from all the afore-listed dividend of curbing some of our societal problems in Nigeria, the development of the Nigerian local sporting activities (most especially football) will in-turn foster international relationship with other countries.

A well-organized Sporting System of a country will naturally attract world-class foreign players to willingly play in the NPFL. Not only that, local and foreign direct investment in the sports sector will also be fostered.

It is high time we wake up the sleeping giant. A well-maximized Sporting activity is a viable tool for the socio-economic development of Nigeria, most especially by facilitating National integration of the diverse ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.
Here are few recommendations for consideration.

We hope to have a refined and redefined code of conducts for the fans, coaches, officials and referees of the NPFL. Necessary steps must also be taken to ensure the compliance of all the concerned entities with the well-laid down rules of engagement.
Relatively, appropriate disciplinary measures must be given to non-conformists, in order to serve as a lesson to other law-breakers.
Putting all these necessary measures in place, the NPFL table will definitely look like an ideal football league table.

In conclusion, another issue of national concern is the fact that most of the Nigerian youths are presently being placed under the siege of neo-colonialism through outlandish sporting systems. Have you ever sat down to ask yourself these rhetorical questions, that; “why are the Nigerian youths so proudly engrossed with the appellations – Man-U Fans, Chelsea Fans, Liverpool Fans, Real-Madrid Fans, Chelsea Fans, Arsenal Fans and other?”. Why are they not proud to call themselves Gombe United Fans, Enyimba of Aba Fans, Sunshine Stars Fans?”. I guess something is wrong somewhere, and until we address all the underlying issues that have caused this lapses, we are going nowhere in terms of meeting up with the international standard in our sporting systems.

In my maxim of national development; “the Government and the people both have crucial roles to play in the nation building process”. While the Government creates a conducive environment for businesses to flourish, the people must take the responsibility of patronizing the Naija locally made products, giving critical feedback to the business owners in order to channel a path for improvement and perfection.

I hope to see Nigerian Youths proudly shirting themselves with Kano Pillars jerseys, Rivers United Jerseys, Plateau United Jerseys and others, while also tagging themselves as their MFM FC Fans, Elkanemi Warriors Fans, EFCC FC fans, Katsina United Fans, Kwara United and others.
This is how to jointly develop a nation; an assurance of a greener pasture in the nearest future.

The “LayZEE” saga: Don't add salt to injury.


It goes without saying that; "every Journalist is a Writer, but every Writer is not a Journalist". Eventually, most of the internet commentators in Nigeria have suddenly turned to Journalists. What a paradoxical situation.

To my biggest bolt from the blue, the phrase "LayZEE" appears in 7 out of my 8 recent Facebook feeds. I have been keeping hushed about this narrative, but I need to crack the silence at this critical point while sitting on the fence.

I will not deny the fact that every Nigerian citizen is entitled to a constitutionalized freedom of expression. But I need to counsel you guys to always mull over the pros and cons before hitting the submit button whenever you are protesting online.

In case you don't know, by promoting the hashtag #LayZEE_NahijiRhiyaN_Youths online, you are indirectly impeding Nigeria's socio-economic development. How? By creating a negative media perception to the international community. Such a gesture might impede FDI - Foreign Direct Investment in Nigeria. Infact, make i speak pijin: "the people wey never hear am before, go dey see am for instagram, twitter, nairaland and facebook na". Why not just let the sleeping dogs lie!

Let me give you guys a little insight about the SEO - Search Engine Optimization Technology. In case you don't know, in the nearest future, if anybody in any part of the world types in the phrase "Nigeria" in any search engine, the cache meta tag "LayZEE" will always appear in the search results. This might affect Nigeria's international relations if care is not taken. And besides, such an attitude is not good for a nation struggling to get out of the peninsula of under-development.

My fellow Nigerian youths, don't under-estimate the Google Cache Technologies, be cautious of what you type online. What goes around comes around. We need to stop all these negative propaganda about Nigeria and get back to work.
We are good people and not bad! Simple as ABCD. We don’t need to aggravate the present state of affairs.

I clearly understand the present quagmire conditions of the Nigerian economy which have led to the issues of Youths' under-employment and unemployment. Many are out there to show their sourness with respect to the unsightly situations in the Nation. Believe me; Nigeria will rise up again if we can jointly rise up to the task of stimulating a sustainable socio-economic framework for the development of our dear nation.
In my oft-recited maxim of national development; in the nation building process, the Government and the people both have crucial roles to play. While the leaders create a beneficial environment for the full-flowering of businesses, the people must be ready to take responsibilities, most especially by changing the already flecked narratives about Nigeria to a better one.

With God on our side and with the level of our patriotism to have a better Nation, Nigeria shall be great again.

I have been waiting for your well-wishers and commentators to drop the anchor at the bay of the calm sea, for me to have a gap to wish you and your celeb brother happy birthday in a special way.


As you may know, your Excellency, some words can be left unuttered, while certain things can be left undone, but I count it a must to write this compendium of your commendable exploits.


In the words of Fidel Castrol - “A true man does not seek the path where advantage lies, but rather where duty lies and this is the only practical man, whose dream today will be law of tomorrow…”


To start with, I need to point out that, your dream of “One Nigeria” is such a commendable gesture for a visionary youth of Nigeria. In addition, you guys are well-known for affecting the lives of common man through your Tagwaye Foundation.


A gesture worthy of emulation by other Nigerian dignitaries.
I have also heard your brother talk to the general public on several occasions via different platforms; I need to commend his ability to carry his audience along, accompanied with his quest for a great nation.


What about your exceptional display of liberalism in the Labour Room mansion, where you passionately supported the victims of the Benue Flood incidence?


Shall we start counting of your direct and indirect supportive steps to the Nigerian citizens?


Indeed, you are one of the proof that; “a true man is known where duty lies”.


Permit me to make mention a little about your social and relational life.


You never ceased to amaze me on a daily basis with your extraordinary fascinating characters.


To the best of my understanding, Prince UC Ingawa is the first Nigerian model to walk through the resurrection clothing fashion show/runway with hand-crossed at the backside in his Presidential Agbada.


And I afterwards asked him: “why did you have to walk like an old man during a fashion/runway” ?.


He replied: “you need to respect the cloth and walk like a President and not as boy, and besides, I need to respect the Nigerian culture since I am putting on a traditional outfit”.
What an astute and an eloquent response by the Trailblazer of the Nigeria First Movement! (I inwardly concluded).


Hmmmm! I won’t be surprised if you organize a cultural fashion show/runway in the nearest future, in an attempt to restore the degrading cultural value system in Nigeria.


I also need to also talk about your exceptional ability to slowly and maturely fit the pieces of puzzle in place while handling any issue. Without any iota of doubt, you are naturally endowed with the leadership qualities to take Nigeria to the greener pasture.


We have jointly executed many national assignments together, and without any intent of exaggeration, I must confess that you are such a man with a diversified/knowledge-based personality - a solution provider.


Shall I start talking about your natural power of speech, coupled with your presidential ability to carry your subjects along during presentations? The type of the vocal charisma you displayed while delivering the speech on “Crisis Management Module for Nigeria”.


In the other way around, atimes, we do have heated debates at a dilemma of getting some tasks done. Sometimes we disagree, but we have always had a diplomatic consensus to have the best content. I hope I won’t be too quick to rightly conclude that you are a focused personality and a diplomatic Transformationist. Indeed, everywhere is never a road for a man who knows where he is going. Vision, Diplomacy and Focus! The qualities and ingredients needed in the inner content of the future leaders of Nigeria! I need to say; “keep it up’.


Come to think of this! Ingawa is charismatically a Jovial-man, though seldom with mood-swinging moments to ruminate on how to get a better Nigeria. Your innovational jokes while in a round-table interactions with Joy and Chinedu is just too mind-blowing for me. And sometime, I always conclude that, you are jovially endowed with the comic traits of your celeb brother.
Professionally, he is an advocate of the deprived ones, a potential futuristic god-father of the Nigeria political empire! These are the qualities of Prince UC Ingawa.


Most importantly, I need to make mention of your exceptional quality of the Spirit of Sportsmanship, as an experimental model, I can rightly concluded that someone like you is never too desperate to get in the position of leadership. The likes of character you have displayed in the Labour Room Executive Council Governance. You have a strong believe that nature will always take its cause.


Keep all these up! These are the qualities needed in the future leaders of Nigeria. We are counting on you Sir.


At a point, I need to make mention of the special type of cooperation I enjoyed in working with you as a fellow comrade to get some national assignments done. You are a man devoted not to mere fictions, but to facts. Infact, at a particular point, Bar. Shamshudeen of Kebbi, haven seen the level of unity, cohesion and synchronization between us while handling tasks, he seldom tagged me as: “The governor that is a P.A. to another Governor”. That doesn’t change anything though! That is the aftermath of unity of purpose, irrespective of ethnical discrepancy or difference in opinionated ideology.


Putting all these things together, you are already living by example. I strongly believe that your vision of “One Nigeria” is achievable and I am willing to join you in this quest. All along, I have seen your virtues and skills grow together with your passion for actualizing the goal.


To conclude, a birthday is just a trip of 365 days round the sun; enjoy the journey in God’s love, joy, favour, mercy and blessings. God’s grace will see you through the race of life this year and many more to come. Once again, Happy Birthday to you and Your Twin Brother – MC Tagwaye.

BBNaija vs The Labour Room: Who is Who ?

BBNaija returning back two earlier evicted housemates into the house seems like a surprise to the Nigerian audience and to the ones in the Diaspora.

Nevertheless, i don't always feel okay whenever viewers and online commentators say that such have never happened before in any history of a Reality TV show.

But here i am to prove such people wrong.

I was opportuned to be part of the Labour Room National Development Reality TV Show organized by The Nigeria Rebirth Project - 17th September to 17th November, 2017.

During the course of the TV Show, two evicted housemates who represented Cross River and Benue States were eventually returned after several weeks of being out of the house, (when the FCT Representative incidentally pressed the RESET BUTTON).

Now, BBNaija is using such a concept to give the Nigerian youths sleepless nights. So what's new about that? Check the referenced Labour Room videos on Youtube if you care to.

And besides, if i may ask, what is even the objective of this BBNAIJA of a thing?
how does it contribute to the development of the nation?
How will it bring food to the table of a common man in the street?
How does it solve our recurring economic crisis?

I need some answers please.

I vividly recall how i represented my Ekiti State for two months on National TV for this National Development TV programme. It was a think-tank platform for 37 selected youths from each of all the Nigerian States to rub minds together on how to solve the various challenges bedeviling the socio-economic development of their respective states and that of Nigeria at large.
As part of my contribution to the development of the nation, i launched a book titled: "A Sustainable Transformational Agenda in Nigeria" during my course of stay in the TV Show mansion.

But where are the results and resolutions of such a timely developmental project today. Even if available, will the Federal Government implement some of the viable recommendations and solutions for National Development?

To worsen the matter, most Southern State Governments gave little or no attention to those youths who represented them for such a developmental programme on National TV for 2 months.

It is so sad that when it comes to the issues of intellectual abilities that can move the nation forward, we tend to give little or no attention to such.

It is somewhat boring to the people and also less-prioritized by the Government.

But when it comes to the moment of the show of skin, maximum attentions are given by the people and when it comes to nepotism and favouritism, vested interests are given by the leaders.

What a paradoxical situation.

So can you now see that Nigeria's problem is a resultant effect of diversified contributors. We can't always blame our leaders, we need to start blaming the people for their refusal to take responsibilities.

See, here is the truth of the matter, if Nigeria will ever move forward, the people must be ready to change their attitude. Without that, we are going no where and the Nigerian future is at a brim of collapse if care is not taken.

Atimes, i feel so concerned about our National destiny. Imagine, as narrated by a Lawyer this morning: "a young man opts to marry a pretty lady,the girl's Father during an introduction asked the guy, "what is your source of income?" and the guy replied: " N-Power ".

I reacted: "that is the aftermath of a failed-state".

To worsen the situation of things for the Nigerian Youths, we are in a society whereby people see a single-guy as being irresponsible. Please, If i may ask, when employable graduates don't have good pay-jobs and good standard of living, how will they settle down at the due time?

In addition, in my oft-repeated concept of National Development: "decades after gaining independence from the Colonial Masters' rule, Nigeria is not yet boastful of common food independence despite being blessed with arable lands and different cadres of labour force. We still import processed foods for our daily upkeep.
What stops the unemployed youths to engage in corporative farming of some export-oriented agricultural products and also the locally consumable ones? Can you see that the Government and the people both have crucial roles to play in the nation building process?

Back to my main point, i don't just understand why we tend to neglect intellectual initiatives structured towards state-centric developments for the entertaining-centric ones.
In-short, we are all the instrumentalizers of our obvious level of under-development in Nigeria.

Lastly, imagine Nigerian youths keenly waiting, keeping vigil to see two evicted housemates sneak back into the house around 3am midnight.

OMG!!
I don't believe it!! What a misplaced priority!!

You guys could have spent that precious time to engage in productive research works on how to invent a sustainable, an affordable & an eco-friendly energy source for Nigeria or engage in research works on how to solve some of our wailing socio-economic challenges.

At this point, it is crystal-clear, that we need a change of attitude for Nigeria's all-round advancement.

If i may ask, after running a comparative analysis on BBNaija and The Labour Room: "who should now acclaim himself as an enviable Spartan of a Reality TV Show with respect to the recent realities in Nigeria?"

The socio-economic impacts of the just-concluded Sokoto City Marathon For Peace.

Over the weekend, the Sokoto City Marathon For Peace, that was innovated to mark the 1000 days of His Excellency, Rt. Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal in the office is a strong signal of the Governor's interest in Youths and Sports Development.

Aside from the fitness and health benefits of the programme, it also served as a talent-hunt platform to discover sport-oriented youths.
The Sokoto City Marathon Race, channelled towards the development of Sports Tourism in the State will in-turn give Sokoto Youths a well-representation in the local and international sporting competitions, such as the Nigerian Professional Football League and in the Super Eagles in a wider perspective, among others. Hence, a need for sporting skills development initiatives in Sokoto State.

In addition, shall we start counting the numerous Youth Empowerment Schemes and Skills Acquisition Initiatives by the present Sokoto State Governor within his 1000 days in the office?
In my oft-repeated phrase, "a good turn deserves another", hence a quest for the sustainability of His good work in 2019 and beyond.

I strongly believe in His Excellency's vision to give the youths a participatory leverage in the state-building process by focusing on their capacity building.
With the present pace of youth development in Sokoto State, the youths shall in due time be well-equipped to engage in sporting acitivities in the local and international leagues.
Hence, a call of duty for private and public players to collaborate in establishing more sports development and training centres in Sokoto State through the means of public-private partnership.
As we all know, sports development has been proven to be a viable tool to curb youths unemployment in any society.

This Sport Tourism initiative will in due time increase the GNP of Nigeria and massively increase the GDP of Sokoto State, while at thesame time reducing the alarming rate of Youths unemployment in the State.

In conclusion, the material-based, the knowledge-based and the skill-based citizens must be given the participatory leverage to contribute to the all-round development of Sokoto State.
Let us join hands together on this mission to actualize all the developmental visions of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for Sokoto State.

Most importantly, i am using this medium to counsel the Sokoto Youths and the Nigerian Youths at large to peacefully coexist together in unity for the sake of the Nation's all-round advancement.
Always remember our Motto: "Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress".
