I don't know how seun selected his MODs. I've even seen times when people were banned for criticizing, not abusing, mods. Iamleaving:

Great men and women who I heard have left nairaland never return, never miss their time. The likes of @Nwamaikpe, Pocahontas, etc left not because of contempt but because of they outgrew the MODs.
My time on Nairaland is gradually winding down. My mission is completed. I have fought the good fight. I have learned from everyone. A man cannot remain in a place forever. If given the opportunity, I will be making my final submission to everyone and my 320 followers after the unblocking of my original account @Richdad50.
I have written nuggets that reach millions of people worldwide without much ado but here, I have been blocked repeatedly for uncountable times. Free speech is not free here. Believe me.
One of the things I discovered that have prevented Nairaland from moving to the sphere of recognized social media sites is the MODs. They are thin skinned and a bunch of spoilt kids who know nothing but banning. Easily provoked and consequentially disruptive to a flow. They lack modern initiative and ideas to move beyond the wrench. Nairaland has the capacity to become a reference like Twitter and Facebook in Nigeria but will never be in this current system and style.
Like hawks, they are coming for this account to delete. They never take criticism and believe in their heart they are doing you a favor alas, it is the other way round. They will delete this in a few minutes but they can never delete your mentions.

Esji80: MARCH 2019 STIPENDS We are now in the second week of April and N-Teach, Agro and Health are yet to receive their stipends. Facebook ,twitter, instagtam, NL no official update.... Please rather than keeping mute, you people should always update the cause and reason for such delays to curtail the spread of rumours about the termination of the programme.
N-pOwer is the largest and most transparent youth empowerment programme in Africa, it transparency need to go beyond seelection and enrollment.
We salute the efforts of Mr. Afolabi, PYo,PmB and the Npower mgt
Please Mr Afolabi needs to work on the payment delays. Cc npowerng npowerng npowerng It might be hard for many, but I will advise you volunteers take your minds off npower. You can see that npowerng account is now mute concerning npower updates. Npower has been technically stopped; that explains why there was no data given on April 1st, as I heard. I was just reading it on twitter page now and saw many people complaining of their npower account being put on hold or even resigned from the scheme. Many can't even login to their accounts again. What more do you need to know Npower is on coma and just being put on live support by people like the guy behind npowerng account GO TO TWITTER AND TYPE NPOWER ON THE SEARCH BOX, YOU WILL SEE A LOT OF LAMENTATIONS |

npowerng: Well, it’s okay to make harsh comments. We in Npower are very much concerned about all our beneficiaries and we keep communication with our N-Power community at a 100% Which communication? By even lying here to volunteers to check their accounts that they have been paid even when such never happened. You said you communicate with the volunteers at a 100% 1. Have you told them why you haven't paid them till now? 2. Have you told them why you stopped their 1gb or so monthly data? I pity the young Nigerians who voted this wicked govt with the hope of making Npower permanent. Now, you have technically disengaged them or disengaging them; fuel price will soon increased, VAT will be increased, goods will become costlier in the markers but the Npower volunteers will become jobless after disengaging them. Isn't that NextEvil tagged NextLevel? |

So Npower is yet to pay the volunteers till now and this account came here two weeks ago to lie that something was cooking for all volunteers. I've always believed this guy behind npowerng account was employed to spread lies on behalf of govt and take advantage of unemployed and underemployed Nigerian graduates. I was surprised to read yesterday that you guys are yet to pay people their march stipends till now, second week of April. You've won now and volunteers have become like bags of trashes to you. I pity many of them who voted for this govt again just because of this npower. BIG SHAME ON YOU!! https://www.nairaland.com/5128705/n-power-beneficiaries-paid-march-stipend |

MelaninGold: Why do you people ask funny questions. So I should not breastfeed my hungry baby because it's my wedding day. While I support your statement but I doubt you will display your breasts to the public like that. You could go to a room or one corner and breastfeed your baby. All young mothers I see today don't display their breast openly like that, even if they face you, they have a way of covering their breasts. I don't support and don't allow my wife displaying her breasts in the name of breastfeeding my babies when she can still manage to feed the baby and still conceal 'my breasts' from public view. |

Travel › Re: Flight Attendant Spills Drinks On Airline CEO. See What Happened Next. Photo by peeps4u: 4:40pm On Apr 08, 2019 |
ChangeIsCostant: On Saturday, an American Airlines Flight Attendant was working on a flight from Phoenix to Dallas with the airline’s CEO, Doug Parker onboard the flight.
While she was walking in the cabin during the in-flight pre-departure service with a tray of drinks, a passenger in front of her suddenly stopped and hit her. The drinks on the tray she was carrying flew and went all over her CEO.
She became very afraid and wondered if she was going to be sacked for pouring drinks on her own CEO. But fortunately for her, the CEO is a jolly good fellow and they ended up having a chat and a selfie.
She shared the story on Instagram. She wrote;
The other day I was working a flight to Dallas. I had our CEO (Doug Parker) on my flight. I was serving drinks during boarding to the first class cabin. I had a full tray with drinks on it, when the passenger in front of me stops in the aisle and backs up. He bumps into the tray and the drinks go flying.
Guys I have worked for American Airlines for 4 years, and not once have I ever spilt a drink on a passenger. Guess who they land on. Half of them went all over me, the other half in Doug’s lap. I WAS MORTIFIED. I wanted to drop dead right there in the aisle. (Like am I still employed?!) I’m still slightly traumatized/embarrassed.
Luckily he was super cool, duh a good sport about it. He later came back and we chatted for a little, and joked about it the rest of the flight. When he was getting off the plane he told me he’d never forget me.... guess that’s a good thing right? Most people never even meet their CEO let alone shower them with beverages. But it’s too good of a story not to tell. Accidents happen. OOPS

He was caught one of his workers sleeping during work hours and everything ended on a lighter modes and even had selfies and coffee with the man and the rest workers. |
