PoliticsWhy ODSG Shuts 8 Health Facilities – Adegbenro by Peezol(op): 11:54am On Oct 14, 2019
Towards safeguarding the health of residents of the state and ensuring they enjoy qualitative health care services, the Ondo State Government has closed down eight health facilities for various offences.

It also warned seven facilities for non compliance to rules of practice and engaging in unprofessional conducts.

Commissioner for Health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro while reading the riot act to violators during a monitoring exercise of the Ministry in Odigbo Local Government stated that government will not relent in its efforts in sanitising the state health sector, noting that it is prepared to deal with those who will not make meaningful contributions to development of the sector.

Adegbenro while speaking further, frowned at the unprofessional conducts of some of the hospitals visited, and noted that government will continue to ensure quackery becomes eradicated in the sector.

He noted that the action of government was not to witch hunt, victimise or send any one out of job, but to ensure that minimum standards are put in place by Healthcare providers to avoid jeopardising the lives of patients.

He enjoined those interested in the health profession to get trained at accredited institutions and be certified adding that any unlicensed facility will be closed down and perpetrators prosecuted.

He also admonished patients and their relatives to always look out for the practising license of any facility they are to patronize.

PoliticsOndo Books Top Place Among Revenue Generating States by Peezol(op): 11:45am On Oct 14, 2019
The latest Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) report released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed that all states in Nigeria generated the total sum of N691.11 billion between January and June 2019.

According to the Bureau’s report, the IGR generated by the 36 states and FCT rose by 94.2 billion (15.7%) when compared to the N596.91 billion IGR generated in half 2018.

The report also showed that thirty-one (31) states and the FCT recorded growth in IGR while five (5) states recorded a decline in IGR at the end of H1 2019.

The Breakdown: In half-year 2019, details of the report showed that across the 36 states, Nigeria’s commercial hub, Lagos State, generated the biggest IGR of N205.16 billion. This means Lagos IGR constituted 30% of the IGR generated across states in half-year 2019.

River State ranks the second with the biggest IGR of N75.9 billion
Other states among the top 10 states with the biggest IGR include FCT (N38.5 billion), Delta (N36.3 billion), Ogun (N29.5 billion), Kaduna (N22.4 billion), Akwa Ibom (N20.4 billion), Ondo (N19 billion), Kano (N18.5 billion) and Cross River (N16.7 billion).
Meanwhile, Gombe, Yobe and Taraba states recorded the lowest IGR of N2.08 billion, N2.2 billion and N3.27 billion.

IGR Growth: Meanwhile, while Lagos is top in terms of the amount of IGR generated in half-year 2019, other states recorded the highest growth recorded in terms of IGR generated between half-year 2018 and half year 2019.

Further analysis showed that Zamafara State recorded the biggest growth in the total IGR in half-year 2019. Specifically, Zamafara generated N2.65 billion IGR in half-year 2018, while the state’s IGR rose to N7.21 billion in half-year 2019. This implies that Zamfara recorded a 171% increase in its total IGR between half-year 2018 and 2019.

Also, Kebbi and Osun States both rank second and third respectively with the biggest growth in IGR. Specifically, Kebbi generated N2.03 billion IGR in half-year 2018, while the state’s IGR hit N4.71 billion in half-year 2019. This means the state’s IGR rose by 132%.

On the other hand, Osun State’s IGR rose from N4.7 billion in half-year 2018 to N4.72 billion in half-year 2019, representing 131% in its IGR increase.

In the meantime, while the decline in the federal allocation has been a critical concern to most states, the rise in IGR recorded in most of these states is indeed a welcome development, as this is expected to ease off pressures from the fiscal constraint currently witnessed in the economy.

PoliticsOndo State Govt Will Fix Deplorable Federal Roads, Works Commissioner Assures by Peezol(op): 3:25pm On Oct 13, 2019
Ondo State government has expressed its displeasure at the condition of federal roads in state and vow its desire to fix them.

Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye made this known during an inspection of the failed portion of the Araromi junction along Owo/Ilesa road in Akure.

Mr. Ogunkeye remarked that though the roads are owned by the federal government, they are being used by the people of the state, hence the need for the inspection.

“The government of Arakunrin Akeredolu cannot fold its arms and watch these roads become impassable. We have decided to intervene on behalf of our people. Our people remain the priority. Anything that affects them must be tacked. We have to make our roads safe regardless of maybe they are federal road or not.”

The Commissioner explained that the state government was compiling the list of such roads to be fixed across the state, adding that the state government had earlier intervened in Owo/Ikare and Owo/Ose roads, which are all federal roads. He stressed that the state government was going to replicate the gesture in all other federal roads that are in poor state.

He said the state government intended to liase with the Federal Road Maintainance Agency (FERMA) on the need for the federal government to maintain its roads in the state.

The Commissioner and the team also visited areas where roads are in deplorable condition in Ondo. The places visited are Akure/Ondo garage road and Leventino junction along Ife road. They also checked a collapsed bridge at Akinwande, Surulere, where the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mrs. Lola Fagbemi conducted them round.

At Okelisa, Mr. Ogunleye frowned at the habit of dumping refuse in drainages, saying it hinders free flow of water, which leads to flooding.

The Special Adviser to Mr. Governor on Works, roads and Infrastructure, Engineer Raimi Aminu and other engineers accompanied the Commissioner on the inspection tour.

PoliticsMrs Akeredolu Promotes Wash Culture Built Facilities For Alma Mater by Peezol(op):
Wife of Ondo State Governor, and founder, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu Foundation (BAAF), Chief Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has been applauded for donating two 6-unit toilet and bathroom facilities for dormitory students at Egbu Girls Secondary School, Egbu, Imo state.

Speaking while commissioning the facilities for immediate use by the students, the Lord Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Egbu, Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Enyinnaya Okoroafor, lauded the intervention project executed by BAAF, and thanked the Ondo State First Lady for coming to the rescue of the school by providing the much needed facilities through her foundation.

He charged the students of EGSS to work hard with determination, and utilize the education they were receiving at school, in order to become great personalities of character such as Mrs Akeredolu, who is also an Old Girl of the school.

He further charged the dormitory girls and their matrons to preserve the privileged facilities provided them, promising to occasionally inspect the area to assess maintenance.

In her remarks, the principal of Egbu Girls Secondary School, Lady Onyekachi Basil-Nwachukwu, conveyed her gratitude to Mrs Akeredolu for always showing concern for her alma mater, recounting her numerous supports to the school, including the recent project being commissioned.
She thanked BAAF for the UNICEF-standard facilities provided for the dormitory girls to improve Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) culture, and prayed God to continue to replenish their founder and grant her greater heights through her foundation.

A student representative also offered her appreciation on behalf of the dormitory girls, and promised they would make good use of the facilities.

Dormitory students of Egbu Girls Secondary School had hitherto been faced with the problems of distant accessibility of dysfunctional toilet and bathroom facilities, and a low level of WASH and menstrual hygiene practices.

Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu Foundation (BAAF), a leading local/community level non-governmental organization (NGO) in Nigeria with a mandate to end open defecation and promote proper WASH culture in public schools/communities, had come to the rescue by providing functional, basic service level WASH facilities for the dormitory girls, and engaging both students and staff of EGSS on health talks bordering on solid waste management, personal and environmental hygiene, menstrual health, and sex education.

The girls were also taught how to produce basic cleaning agents such as liquid soap, bleach, antiseptic and germicide, with the project culminating in the establishment of a school health club, with student executives and staff matron.

EGSS becomes the latest school to benefit from BAAF’s WASH intervention projects following selected schools in Ondo and Imo states so far. BAAF will continue to provide technical support to these schools to ensure sustainability of the WASH projects.

In attendance at the commissioning were the dormitory students and members of the school management, including a representative of the Old Girls Association of EGSS, Mrs Chichi Onu, BAAF WASH project team, and some members of the Mpama-Egbu community.

PoliticsOndo : Gov. Akeredolu Turns Magical On Akoko Dreadful Roads by Peezol(op): 11:07am On Oct 09, 2019
Gov. Oluwaritimi Akeredolu, has within his three years in office attacked the two most dreadful roads in Akoko land.

1. Oke-Oka Road ;

There was a portion of this road already conceded to the gods for the purposes of sucking human blood and eating of human flesh. The portion used to come with crushing accidents on weekly basis, and nobody traveled the road without this thought of death!

One accident that shook the foundation of Akoko happened along the stretch precisely on the 24th of February, 2007 and our Akoko land lost 24 souls on the same spot to a single accident ! Regrettably the entire 24 belonged to one single family of Pa. Ogunrinde who equally lost his own life and those of his two wives. They were returning from the first convocation ceremony of Adekunle Ajasin University where a son of the family was a graduand.

Accident on the same spot killed one of the greatest Amazons of Akoko land, Mrs. Adefarati, among hundreds of souls killed in autos crashes along that stretch of road.

Our children in the Federal legislative houses had tried all possible magics in persuading the Federal government to fix this Federal road without success, hence we surrendered to the myth that these blood sucking gods could not be stopped by ordinary mortal. In fact we believed that the gods were actually responsible for the failed efforts made by our elected representatives in Abuja.

Decades rolled by, governments came and went without any solution, until Gov. Akeredolu was elected. Few months after his election, he moved his men to the death stretch, and as usual only few would have taken him seriously given our previous experiences.

Surprisingly he has fixed this road despite being a federal road, an excuse that had become a cultural one to us, an accident has since become history around the area.
Akoko people no longer die on the spot.

The Ondo State House of Assembly has directed the Chairman of Ondo State Radiovision Corporation OSRC/Orange FM, Mr Kunle Adebayo, to furnish it with details of its proposed recruitment exercise.

This was part of the resolution at the end of a meeting on Monday between members of the House Committee on Information and the management of OSRC.

The OSRC Chairman and the Management team had earlier been invited to a meeting with the House Committee on Information following public outcry on the recruitment cost among others.

In the resolution presented by Chairman House Committee on information , Mr Olugbenga Omole, ,members noted that the three thousand (#3,000) naira charged as recruitment cost is on the high side and should be reduced to one thousand (1,000) naira in order to reduce the burden on job seekers.

They added that recruitment is a component of strategic planning hence should be a product of a budgetary provision.

Members advised the Chairman and Management team of OSRC to be wary of the public procurement act while hiring consultants whether corporate or individual.

Members noted that the one thousand naira recruitment cost was allowed in view of the fact that OSRC as a broadcasting institution does not take monthly subventions from government.

While thanking the lawmakers for their observations, Mr Adebayo promised not to do anything that would jeopardize the interest of government and people of Ondo State.

TV/MoviesOndo State Government Introduces Automated System For Retirement Benefits Proces by Peezol(op): 12:41pm On Sep 26, 2019
As part of the reform agenda of the Ondo State Head of Service, Mr Dare Aragbaiye to reposition the State Civil Service for excellent service delivery and make bureaucratic processes less cumbersome, the state government would soon commence automated system of processing documents of Pensioners for their retirement benefits.

To this effect, the State Information Technology Agency has developed a computerized system that would electronically capture Pensioners and process their documents on line for easy and quick reception of their benefits.

Presenting the design to the Pension Reform Committee at the office of the Head of Service in Akure, the Director of Software in the State Information Technology Agency, Mrs Bola Oyebode said the process would allow for interface with each of the retirees at the point of exit from service for capturing and collation of their data.

Mrs Oyebode noted that instead of the usual manual process of obtaining various documents from different Ministries, Agencies and Departments of government for approval, the documents would be automated and uploaded to a preferred server for assessment by relevant government officials, adding that the process would lessen the burden of Pensioners and reduce movement of documents from one place to another.

In his remarks, the Head of Service commended the Agency for the innovation which he said would enhance easy access to Pensioners records, eradicate fraud in the pension office and put an end to the activities of the syndicate that exploits Pensioners by collecting certain percentage of money to process their retirement benefits.

He added that with the system, Pensioners’ data could easily be collated, arranged, processed and retrieved while falsification of documents would be difficult to perpetrate.

The Administrative Secretary of the State Public Service Reform Office, Mr Oluwagbenga Akingbesote said the Committee has reduced the documents to be submitted by retirees for the process of their retirement benefits from about 30 to 16.

Mr Akingbesote opined that with the reduction in number of documents to be processed and introduction of automated processing system, the time and resources to be spent by Pensioners would be drastically reduced.

The Permanent Secretary of the Pension Transition Department, Mr Tope Kolawole and his counterpart in the Local Government Pension Transition Department, Dr. Bunmi Eniaiyewu, who was represented by the Director of Local Government Pension, Mr Gbenga Tolulope presented report to the Committee.

PoliticsAkeredolu Promises More Dividends Of Good Governance by Peezol(op): 9:25am On Sep 21, 2019
...As Over 3000 ADC Members Join APC In Ondo

Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has said the current infrastructural development and the bountiful dividends of good governance being experienced across the state are mere tip of the massive turn - around his administration is poised to entrench in the state.

Governor Akeredolu made the promise at the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the ceremony to receive over 3000 members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) into the APC.

The defectors, led by Hon. Femi Bello, include all party executives of ADC in the 11 wards in Akure South Local Government Area, party elders and their followers.

They were received into the APC fold by the state Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, who later handed them over to Governor Akeredolu, who doubles as the leader of the party in the state.

Arakunrin Akeredolu said the people of the state will witness unprecedented development by the time the deep sea port project is achieved in the state.

He said:"We have just started. We will do more and the people of Ondo State will surely experience massive development

"We are pursuing the Port of Ondo with all vigor and it will be successful. We have written and the process is on. We will also start our Bitumen exploration

"Go to Ore and see how minimum of 15 trailers now supply cassava for the Cassava-to-Ethanol plant. Even farmers are bringing cassava from other states. Before December, the Ore Flyover will also be ready. We will use the first flyover in the state. "

The governor charged the new members to attend meetings at their various wards and ensure that the party remains in government.

Speaking, Hon. Femi Bello, who led the decampees, said his decision to lead members and supporters of the ADC in Akure into the APC was informed by the gaint strides of the Akeredolu’s administration in Akure, the state capital.

He said even if the Governor was a native of Akure, he would not have accomplished the milestone of achivements that have been recorded in the state capital.

Hon. Bello particularly lauded the Governor for his intervention in the construction of Oke-Ogba Road, "A" Division /NEPA /Ijoka Road Dualization, Ijoka - Idanre Road, the Orita Obele Road, Iwalewa Road, Aburo Road and the Gaga Road among others.

While commending the governor for the ongoing Dualization of Oda Road, Hon. Bello said the construction of the highly deplorable Gaga road should have been used to name the area after the Govenor as "Gaga Aketi Village".

He said the collapse of the political structures of ADC in Akure South Local Government to fuse it with APC was an unconditional and unanimous decision of all members of ADC in the Local Government and in appreciation of the remarkable performance of the APC controlled government in Ondo State.

Welcoming the defectors, Adetimehin described APC as a party that treats each member equally with clear-cut welfarist ideology for the masses .

He assured that the decampees would enjoy level-playing ground, emphasising that they have equal rights and treatment as the old members of the party.

The APC Chairman said the unprecedented performance of Arakunrin Akeredolu across sectors and in all parts of the state have made the project of continuity easy for APC in the state.

He said:"The APC is the only ideological party that makes promises and fulfil it. In Ondo State here, Akeredolu's oppositions have attested to the fact that he has performed well. He inherited seven months salary arrears and has already cleared six out of it. He has not owed any salary. He's paying salary and pension as and when due

"This government has employed many doctors and nurses. This government has also injected 50 administrative officers into the civil service.

PoliticsMrs. Akeredolu Distributes Educational Materials To Students by Peezol(op): 11:46am On Sep 18, 2019
The wife of the Ondo State governor, Arabinrin Betty-Anyanwu Akeredolu on Tuesday took her Back-to-School initiative to Auga Akoko Community Grammar School, where educational materials were distributed to the students .

According to Arabinrin Akeredolu, the initiative which commenced in 2017 was aimed at encouraging teachers and students to take teaching and learning seriously throughout the academic session.

This year’s edition, held on the school’s field ground also featured presentation of Solayo kits to pregnant women, the distribution of incentives to teachers, and gifts to the aged.

Addressing the people of the community, the wife of the governor noted that she identified with the community, having hailed from a community that shares almost same fate with Auga in terms of lack of socio-economic and human capital development.

She noted that Auga Community Grammar School was purposely selected for the third edition of Back-to-School programme in order to ascertain the level of government’s commitment towards education in rural communities.

Arabinrin Akeredolu stressed the need for individuals, and governments to develop deliberate interest in communities, and therefore, advised Auga leaders to work collaboratively towards the progress of the community.

“The elite most especially should constitute an all-embracing Community Development Committee in order to speak with one voice and attract sustainable development projects like the established Cattle Ranch to the community.

” No quarter or section of the community must be left behind in seeking ways to develop the community. Every input from both the young and old, men and women, the educated and those without formal education would be required in achieving the desired goals of the community.

“Discrimination or marginalization in any form must not be tolerated, as these are traits that act as brick walls to the development of any community or society”, she advised.

The Alauga of Auga-Akoko, Oba Samuel Agunloye, the Asulu V, commended the magnanimity of Mrs. Akeredolu for remembering the community, noting that she is the first wife of the State governor to ever visit them in person.

He lauded her efforts to put smile in the faces of women and children across the state through her various initiatives, like BEMORE, FOWOSO, SOLAYO, among others.

The monarch, therefore, used the medium to acquaint her with some challenges confronting the community, which she promised to brief governor about.

Earlier, the Caretaker Chairman of Akoko North East, Mr. Ashimiyu Adekunle had also commended the First Lady for not defiling the insecurity situation in the area, and visited the community.

He described the Back-to-School initiative as a demonstration of her passion for education.

The school Principal, Mr. J. O Olaoye, decried the poor state of the school, including low patronage, and inadequate teaching and non-teaching staff, and appealed to the government to come to their rescue.

As part of her visit to Auga, Arabinrin Akeredolu also toured the Cattle Ranch situated in the community.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has been declared as the winner of African Governor Award for Innovative Leadership (AGFIL) 2019 by an international group for his efforts in reducing poverty in the state.

The organisation, African Stride International (Media) Limited, revealed that researches were carried out in several sectors in the state through its field officers and findings showed that the governor, among other governors under view, was innovative in his approach to solving various challenges he met when he assumed office in 2017.

PoliticsAllegations Against Governor Akeredolu On Unimed’s Vacancies Application Charges by Peezol(op): 12:33pm On Sep 16, 2019
The Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon Donald Ojogo has described as untrue, the allegations against Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on charges attached to vacancies application into the University of Medical Sciences UNIMED.

In a statement, Ojogo said the administration of Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN upon assumption of office, promised to instill good governance in all sectors of the administration.

According to the statement, the government remains unwavering in this regard. This avowed commitment is further given potency by Mr. Governor’s mantra of Thinking Anew, Acting Anew.

The purpose of appointing aides and other lieutenants in government is to share responsibilities, believing that such would be judiciously deployed for good governance. For emphasis therefore, Governor Akeredolu, after approving the request to fill vacancies and shortfalls in the Teaching Hospital, did not need to usurp the responsibilities and functions of the Chief Medical Director who is the Chief Executive Officer of the tertiary medical institution.

It is perhaps, imperative for me to state that rather than being offended or hurt by such pardonable conclusions arising from the subject matter, a clear and precise response to all such insinuations linking Mr Governor directly, with same is pertinent.

PoliticsN50b Bond For Road Projects, Others –igbasan by Peezol(op): 11:54am On Sep 16, 2019
The N50 billion bond recently approved by the Ondo State House of Assembly is to be expended on major roads in the state in order to bring relief to the citizens, The hope has learnt.

Among the road projects are the Atijere-Aboto, Okeagbe-Afin-Eshe-Ogbagi, Araromi/Lekki, Ore flyover and the newly flagged off Oda road.

The hint was dropped by the state Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan during an interview with The Hope.

He said infrastructural development and security are the major impectus that drive the economy and noted that investment in infrastructure particularly road is a right investment.

His words:”Two things drive the economy, one is infrastructure and the second is security. These are the two critical elements that attract investments. For example, the new industrial park in Ore has been connected to the national grid. So, we expect influx of industries and companies into that area. That is the magic. If we create the environment, other things will fall in place.

When these people produce their goods, they need good roads to move on. So, constructing roads is laying a good foundation for sustainable economic growth,” he maintained.

The commissioner said the people can now start to estimate the quantum of the benefits that would be derived from these projects when completed because of the cost of transport that will be greatly reduced .

He said for now, the state is yet to configure its productive index to be able to tell the economic benefits of à specific project.

He said the bond is not even enough to pay the outstanding money of contracts already awarded in the state. “Let me take Atijere road that was just re-awarded last week. When it was awarded in 2016, it was N12 billion, but when this administration reviewed that contract when the former contractor refused to do anything, we re-awarded it for N8 billion, saving the state N4 billion and yet we have not given the contractor a dime.

So if one road is gulping N8 billion, what about the 28.9 kilometers Akoko/Irun side for another 8 to N12 billion, the Araromi- Lekki road, the dualization of Oda road. I can go on and on. By the time I mention 10 projects, N50 billion is gone. Is it the Ore Flyover that work is ongoing. That is about N8 billion project,” he added.

He listed other projects that will benefit from the bond to include the ongoing ultra modern 500 UNIMED Teaching Hospital Complex, reticulation of dams, rural electrification among others.

Igbasan who said bond has always been one of the means to balance state budget and as well gives room for borrowing, submitted that N50 billion for Ondo State Government is just a tip of an iceberg compared to the masses oriented projects lined up for the people.

He said taking a bond is the best thing to happen in order to ensure that work continues, saying Akeredolu led administration has performed creditably well in all the five critical areas set for the administration.

On the implementation of the State 2019 budget, Igbasan declared that the budget as at June was 54 percent implemented and that it was on a positive side, saying that there is quarterly assessment of the budget where the report of projects execution will be reviewed.

He said the 2018 budget of progress has laid solid foundation for the 2019 budget of leveraging the gains of 2018 which he said was in tandem with the development and strategic plan of the government.

The commissioner was optimistic that 2020 budget will be signed into law before the end of this year.

On the focus of the 2020 budget, Igbasan said it will focus on impacting lives of the people positively, their businesses and their environments

PoliticsGovernor Akeredolu Orders Life Insurance For Journalists In Governments Press Cr by Peezol(op):
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Wednesday ordered that all the members of his office Press Crew be placed on life group Insurance Scheme in view of hazard attached with the discharge of their duties.

The governor also stressed the need for members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) across the country to take group insurance scheme of the Union serious and ensure they subscribe to it.

Akeredolu gave the advice in Akure during a courtesy visit in honour of the TVC Best Reporter of 2019, Mr Ayodeji Moradeyo.

It was gathered that Mr Ayodeji Moradeyo, TVC Correspondent, Ondo State, was awarded Best TV Reporter for 2019 in the Electronic Media category at the 9th Ondo State Media Award organised by Impact Media Group.

Akeredolu explained that the issue of group insurance was very important considering the rate at which journalists travel regular and going to dangerous places to perform their duties, hence the need for NUJ members to get insured.

The governor directed offices of the Secretary to the state government, the governor’s Chief of Staff, the Head of Service as well as the Commissioner for Information, Donald Ojogo to work out how journalists attached with the Government House Press Crew would be insured by the state government.

“Every profession has its own hazards. You are insured for everything, not just accidents alone. Group insurance is good and cheap,” he said.

The governor further lauded the efforts of Moradeyo and advised him to continue to give his best.

“This is reward for your tireless labour. I congratulate you on our part as a government, and we appreciate your work here with us.”

Earlier, Mr Ayodeji Moradeyo, TVC reporter, thanked the governor for the special recognition, and lauded his efforts in ongoing and completed projects spanning the state.

“I thank you for your efforts in Ondo State. The people can also see the laudable project you have embarked on,” he said.

Also, Mr Donald Ojogo, Commissioner for Information, described Moradeyo as someone who had traversed the broad spectrum of the broadcast industry.

“He was the state correspondent for Glaxy TV before moving to TVC. We have been around together for some time doing the same work.

“We were enthralled by his positive exploits. He has brought glory to himself and his family,” he said.

Similarly, Mr Tona Aderoboye, Chairman NUJ, Ondo State, also congratulated the award recipient Moradeyo and described the reception by the governor as unprecedented.

Aderoboye commended the governor for creating a conducive environment for journalists to thrive in the state particularly the recent appointment of NUJ members into his Media Team and his administration’s laudable projects.

The NUJ Chairman presented a letter to the governor notifying him of his Investiture as NUJ Grand Patron in the state and honouring him with an award over infrastructural development in the state.

Aderoboye thanked the governor for his pronouncement to insure members of his press crew, adding that it was a commendable step.

The Investiture will take place in the last week of November, 2019 during a weeklong Press Week of the Union in ondo state.
