Or just a clutch "learn" if only the clutch was replaced. The Ford TCU "Mechatronic" is built into the front of the transmission, there's no external TCU, so programming is a must.

If it doesn't require coding, and it's transponder-protected, then it means the immobiliser's been defeated, which is very posdible. I do IMMO defeats on Audi and Volkswagen when carrying out 1.8T / VR6 / V8 engine swaps, if the client didn't get the ECU in combination with the key, IMMO interface or instrument cluster.

but not all are transponder protected. or have Immobilizer.
