I was trying to confirm that from @Dreamchaserz
alusiala:
I wasn't asked to send anything. I'm just wondering, in case I get new information I'd like to share with the embassy.
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 11:24pm On Aug 11, 2019
What extra documents were you asked to send?
Dreamchaserz:
If the embassy requests for more documents from you, they will instruct you on how to send it in. In my case, I was told to send scanned copies of the needed documents.

Regards

TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 9:54pm On Aug 05, 2019
When are you resuming?
Godsenvoy:
I paid in full (€12k) but from the contributions of some people here and someone I know; they didn’t and they were still issued their study visas. Maybe discuss with your school for the amount needed to be paid that’s sufficient enough for them to issue you a letter you can present at the embassy.

Heading to DBS next month by God’s grace, submitted July 22 and I’m waiting for good news . All the best to us all and those that have gotten theirs, we tap into your good testimonies!!

Thanks. I should expect that my would have been delivered as more often than not they always get delivered to the embassy the next day or two
Dreamchaserz:
On the slip you were given after payment at vfs, there's a reference number starting with 'IEAJ' if you submitted in Abuja of 'IELA' if you submitted in Lagos. That's your reference number.

When did you apply?
Mrtanji:
Quick question please. does anyone here know anyone who was refused for a visa and if it's not too much trouble why ?

Its getting really close to September now and prices are going up everyday, i'd like to start planning(putting money down for accommodation flights etc) but i'm just worried they might reject me
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 1:13pm On Jul 26, 2019
Ohh okay, cool. Just try to apply early next week if it is possible, thankfully August is about 4 and a half weeks, so you have about five and a half weeks. I sent them a mail at the embassy and they replied that the 8 weeks is not a must but its advised just incase of any thing. Attached their reply
alusiala:
September 9

When do you intend to apply. I am resuming on the 2nd and I applied yesterday
Tee2564:
I am also to resume September 9th and yet to apply for my visa due to some delays from my sponsor. If you're applying at vfs Lagos I heard from a reliable source that it's better to apply on a Friday Or Wednesday since applications goes to Abuja on these days.
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 8:34pm On Jul 25, 2019
Are you resuming in september or January?
alusiala:
Not yet. I'm meeting with my UKEAS agent tomorrow. So maybe tomorrow or Monday.
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 1:17pm On Jul 25, 2019
Did you apply?
alusiala:
Thank you so much. My start date is September 9 and, because of things out of my control, the earliest time I can submit is July 25. Would it should still be possible to get a visa in time? I will have all documents and funds and scholarship offer letters complete.
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 10:59pm On Jul 24, 2019
Woah...did you just say 2 weeks !!! I never thought that was possible. Around when did you apply?
Segunagagu:
Yes it's true..I got mine last year in 2 weeks.. maybe there are more people applying now...
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 2:41pm On Jul 24, 2019
Seems the visa process this year is taking longer than last year. Around this time last year, it was taking roughly 4 weeks for responses. Sincerely hoping for the best.
