TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Pelumos(m): 10:23pm On Nov 27, 2025
If I submit a UK visit visa application today, is it possible to get VFS appointment by next week? Can anyone who submitted very recently confirm please?

Also does TLS allow uploading of documents? The last UK visit visa I did for someone in Nigeria was done via TLS which allowed online uploading of documents so I am not sure if it is the same with VFS.

Hi all,

Is it possible to buy edubond via CBN rate? If so, what does the process entail?

How does one get the reference number that starts with IELG/xxxx, the one the person has is the one that starts with IRLxxxxxxxx
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 10:17pm On Aug 18, 2021
Were you able to get a response with regards to the reference number
toyelee:
Same here. I tried tracking it with the IRLXXXX number on the yellow slip, but it kept showing invalid reference number. I reached out to the VFS office via email, and they responded that the reference number should start with IELG/****, which I don't have on my slip.

I sent them several emails but I'm yet to hear back from them.

Has anyone been able to make payment via transfermate recently, if possible, how was it done?

I would like to kindly inquire if it is possible for a partner/fiance (non-married) who lives and works in Ireland to act as a sponsor for the other party who is applying for a master's degree programme in Ireland? What kind of proof apart from financial proof would be required?

Thanks in advance.

Which course are you going to Study ?
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 8:59am On Sep 18, 2020
Also depends on the course
seunny4lif:
Thats should be enough to paid for School fees but it depends on the school
Public school are more expensive than Private exp NCIRL
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 4:57am On Sep 18, 2020
I think you can find out the range though. Look at the schools and their fee requirements, look at living cost and take a few other things into consideration, you would have a pretty accurate estimate. You can scroll through this thread, it may be tiring but lots of information you would find would be worth your time, at least I could say this for myself.

please, can 8.5mllion be ok to study in Ireland for masters
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 4:55am On Sep 18, 2020
I can't really say for sure. With the current exchange rates, one might say it is highly unlikely but then who knows? Using today's rates, mine would have cost something just above 10.

WAIT, $100 monthly limit shocked shocked shocked, is that supposed to be a joke or what
Alday:
There's a $100 monthly limit or less on forex for all nairacards since the current scarcity began.

You may have to use a card attached to a dormiciliary account for transactions beyond that amount or get a trusted person that banks abroad to make the payment for you.

Yaaaaay, congrats. I remember you from last year. Wish you the very best.
Dwebb55:
So, I got my Visa approved today. I applied last year and was rejected but was told I could appeal. I did this and with the help of Icas and most especially God, I appealed the decision and today, my visa was one of those on the approved list.

I am awaiting the reopening of our international flights and will be in Ireland when school resumes in September. My advice is to put God first and seek the counsel of experienced people on the forum. I pray that we are all favoured in the coming weeks
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 12:15pm On Sep 24, 2019
I don't get. When did you submit your appeal. You said that the visa was issued on the 13th of September and you then said you had to appeal with more documents last week
Jstlaw:
Visa issued 13th September and documents received today.

Submitted on June 28th got refused on August 27th had to appeal with more documents last week in abuja .

. God is the greatest.congrats to those of you expecting yours.

Hello guys, please I submitted a passport that expires 8months from September to the embassy, do you think it might cause a denial since it is stated that it has to be 12 months from the proposed travel date? I submitted my application in July and I’m still awaiting a response. Should I send them an email?
