hmmm... because you see me posting updates on math & solving some cheap questions 4 sm folks , u think am a maths genius .? not really ( wish i am ... i claim it sha ) . trust me ; dia lots of folks even on NAIRALAND far better than me oo , if u also observe , u'll see that i couldn't even solve some questions ON D math clinic , just that i make noise everyday , but they don't , ..

so my bro , i was not born with math , in fact i use to fail math woefully during my primary sch. it was in secondary d point of transition occurred after i gave my life 2 Christ , everything about me then changed ,

i then have to go back to the basics ...trying to master my multiplication tables , simplifications of fractions , conversion of number bases , algebra , equations ...e.t.c i then studied it every day , next to food was maths , anytym i encounter a tough question , i meet a friend of mine ( now studying @ A.B.U) , though >2 yrs older than him but this guy is a genius , knows a lot so i av to humble myself to learn from him .. (thank God 4 frank ) .... tinz den began to change gradually , began to study & solve independently .... then became 1 d top best maths / further students in my sch. then.

all these to God's grace , wisdom & understanding plus great deal of determination & discipline ..

MizMyColi: Pelvicky, I think it has more to do with you than them. I admit that it hurts a lot seeing as I've been there a couple of times in the past. However, I've been able to get past the feeling of neglect by:


1. Understanding that my identity and definition doesn't come from anyone's approval of me or not. They come from my creator who is always approving of me even when I'm in my lowest and shambolic moments.


2. Not taking it personal: sometimes, its not like people don't care, its just that they have worries of their own and as such do not have the desire to reach out to anyone, including me. So whenever I reach out and the gesture is not returned, I Move ON....trust me, those who value you will come looking for you. Even if they don't eventually, Don't allow that diminish your sense of self-worth and value because you are worthy and valuable, even if everything and everyone around you screams otherwise.


3. Getting to recognize and do those things that make me feel happy and relaxed. In my case, I binge on TvShows, internet, movies. The best activity I engage in when I feel that way is saying a short prayer. Everything just falls into perspective and those feelings dissipate.


4. Lastly, I've learnt to admit to myself whenever I feel neglected that I actually feel that way......that in itself makes me stronger____afterall, a problem shared is half-solved.


That said, these days, I barely feel that way.....not because it doesn't come but because I've learnt to focus my attention on other things, no matter how hurt I feel. Now, there's been a whole world of difference for me.


Except in rare cases, I will not have time for anyone who doesn't have time for me.

my first time over confidence killed me. I blew all my vocabs and write note long, thinking i'd get the examiners admiration, alas! I went opposite.


Now each subject has a way of dealing with them.

Lets start from
ENGLISH
in this subject, u need to be concise when answering questions, write simple and short sentences, dont make it complex.
In the essay, u must note ur puntuations and your nouns(words that start with capital letter)
This subjects is difficult to make a distinction. C dominates

MATHS
direct opp. Of eng. must show working, ur answer doesnt matter, but your layout and progressions. This subject is easy to pass. B3

BIOLOGY
HMMMMM. In this one you must note your spellings, if not u loss obtainable marks. Draw with sharp pencil, label horizontally, no matter what dnt scatter ur labels. These subj u can make it well if u do ur practical well. 80marks practical.

CHEM
diz one, just need ur definitions and calculaions, and also drawing formulars of reaction.

PHY
this one no hard o, its just like maths, if u know fomlars and definitons, ur in.
Note. For good marks, anything u define, try to state it mathematically.

AGRIC
just study. Dont cramm, just study.

GEO
same principle with agric.

YORUBA.
Use same method for eng.

ECONS.
Study wella, and learn definitions and drawings. If it means cramming cramm o.

Tallesty1: Have you analyzed yourself? Are you going on the right way? It would be different if you are talking about one friend. For all your friends to start neglecting you is odd so I would suggest you analyze yourself properly, may be due to your attitude they are behaving like that, may be you are not behaving properly or your habits might be hurting them so they start avoiding you. The thing you have to do is just try to find the reason behind all that. Just go to your friends and ask them have you done any thing wrong
