Career › Re: Professions Whose Graduates Get Jobs Easily In Nigeria by Penboy: 1:30pm On Nov 12, 2014
Muyogoa:
Top four Professions That Are Readily Available For Employment In Nigeria

2) MEDICINE- Dentists has upper hand than med doctors due to the fact that only 25 students are admitted for dentistry in all Nigeria universities each year, unlike medicine where they are about 100 students admitted. [due to a decree by NMA] So definitely, there would be more competition among medical doctors due to high number of graduates in this field unlike dental doctors. But nevertheless, doctors are highly employed.

You free to tackle this, if not, i'm correct.
well, ask yourself! Whats the number of posts available to dentists when compared to medical doctors in the medical setting? It's low. In as much as schools admit lesser numbers of dentistry students to medical students, the number of available posts for doctors are still greater than dentists. Infact, some hospitals dont even employ dentists, take the local government hospitals as a case study. Well in my opinion, it should be

1) medical doctors/ dentists.

mandarin:
These are the sort of topics I like to see on this forum instead of inter ethnic controversial topics. These will help the young ones take informed decisions about their educational pursuits,so responses should be matured and argued with facts.
Let me make a little contribution.Quite a number of factors determine the quality of university/polytechnic graduates, let me mention a few:
1. Good infrastructures
2.Good and experienced teachers
3.Good research programs
4.Deployments of technology and adaptation of latest techniques
5. Determination of students to succeed****which is a great factors.
6.How the institution improve the social and psychological developments of the student
Based on my years of experience, performances in the corporate sector and class contributions.
In general performance needed in corporate world which include working intuition, confidence, technology adaptation and matching skills, its not just about a first class(this is good majorly in engineering and medical sciences) but exceptional graduates may not necessarily be the most bookish.
I think Unilag graduates are confident and quite adaptable and any one that finish from that school with self determination will be good, I have good ones around me and the school leads in areas of business graduates alongside LBS.
UI and OAU grads are excellent as well while schools as Uniben,UNAD, LAUTECH and FUTA, FUTO,FUTMINNA are good as well.
The Polytechnic Ado,Ibadan, Bida and Yabatech are competitive as well.
Convenant and Babcock, RUN are new but their products are good at least based on practical experience.
I can bet that around 90s till like 97 graduate of some students that got admission into some states universities were exceptionally good because they were the ones that got between 170 and 198 when federal schools up their entry marks to 200 as conducted by research group in FUTA and so all those students went to state schools.
I have also met IMSU students that were good but some not too good.I think Kaduna polytechnic is also good.
I think with your analysis, OAU comes first.

#SPOILER ALERT..

What will you do if you see this on oau's website..

NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS :
It has been brought to the knowledge of the school management that rumours have been flying around about the 2014/2015 admission process. We would like to inform the general public that cut-off marks are not actually out yet.. Please note that due to poor administration on our part, the school's website was hacked a few weeks ago and false cut-off marks were uploaded. The JAMB site was also hacked by one Mr Johnwills. Please ignore any claims as touching cut-off marks, admission lists or letters. We are working effortlessly to ensure that the proper cut-off marks are released within the next month- after which students are advised to print the "ORIGINAL" admission letters (containing passports of your parents and grand-parents) from the JAMB official site.

Thank you.
The school management.
hahahahaha. Oh boy, God punish satan oh!

Men, you can't believe that i've just completed the reading of this thread from page 0 to 190. I've really learn't a lot, i must say; from past experiences, brawls, betrayals and jokes. Inter alia, my S/O goes to those who have been keeping this thread alive by way of meaningful tips. Atleast, i now have an inkling about the "medical profession", ipso facto.

Muyogoa:
yes, there is bike, 30 or N40. For instance, i do have 7-8am lecture at ODLT and another lecture at PGLT by 8am.which is somehow far. So i do take bike sometimes esp if the other lecturer did not release us on time. But other distance like 1000seaters and FBLT you av to run or treck because u will av covered most of d distance b4 u see bike. So many leave d other class even b4 d lecture ended in order to secure space in front. That's one disadvantage of Oau. The theartre are far from each other.
Ebgami! How about using a bicycle? Is it a bad idea?
