I don't think the girl had any medical condition as explained by the boyfriend. More likely, it was a ruse woven to absolve himself of blame. Having said that he didnt deserve the negative attention and embarrassment from a deeply troubled girl. |
OK. We are still awaiting DNA result. Unfortunately, the devil is usually in the DNA. |
So, even jay bee is a faithful man.Technically. |
A faithful man is one who has not been caught. Yet. |
LOL. . . i reject u in Jesus name ![]() like i said earlier, my mum shares my opinion on thsi ridiculous practise. . . no man can afford my brideprice; anyman who wants to acquire me will hav to pay alot more than money. . . but any guy who wants to marry me only has to win my heart
You be Ibo girl abi? Your reaction under certain circumstances is fortunately quite familiar and very predictable. Believe me I know how far. The stages in a relationship with an ibo girl are 1-"I hate the bastard", 2-"Maybe he is not too bad afterall", 3 "I think I like him", 4 "I just love him",5" I would love him to marry him".Now stages 2-4 can be short-circuited depending on the motivation of the man. don't tempt me ![]() |
H.RHotness, sorry but you are going to be acquired real soon. Yes you are facing acquisition without knowing it. ![]() |
affording ridiculous prices deosnt necessarily mean u r blessed with wisdom and maturity. . for all u knw thay may see it as another chance to throw money around and show off, like buying a really pricey car. . . which makes it worse because the woman is just another acquisition
Lets face it. Woven deep in the concept of marriage from proposal by the man to the actual marriage is acquisition. Not like buying a commodity but acquisition by being worthy to be her husband more than any other man. If throwing money around makes you happy, do it. |
i think that is largely due to the fact they marry very young girls who thay can train and mold to suit them. . .
Or more likely, the men who can afford to pay the B/P have done well for themselves and would have the wisdom and maturity to keep a home |
Mgbejume:No doubt bride price like anything concieved by human is subject to abuse. But this is an aspect of our culture worth emulating by the west so that any TD&H with prick doesnt become a nuisance to the larger society in the name of marriage |
There is a good side to the concept. In Igbo land you all would have noticed that their divorce rate is lower than the country average. Secondly the men marry some what later when they are financially and emotionally matured. Not for some idiot to take in a responsible girl and mess up her life when he is neither financially nor emotionally matured |
the way i understand it, a dowry is token gift brought into d matrimonial home to aid the success of the union. . . it isnt given to anybody and ther definitely isnt a set amount being demanded. why should a family then demand outrageous amounts from the groom. . . i still insist it reeks of slavery
"Brought by the woman" into the home where the man is head.Semantics. In certain cultures woe betide the woman if its found to be inadequate and the man therefore feels shortchanged. The man does not have that obligation. |
KarmaMod:Blackmail you mean. There are so many ways a man determined can do that. |
it is for this reason i am firmly against d idea of bride price. . . thank God my mum agrees with me so there will no such rubbish at my wedding (if i get married) where does the love come in then if d price paid for her hand is all that matters. . . I think it is a silly and archaic tradition to sell ur child off like cattle!
That's touchy. Tradition is what it is. Someone has to pay sth. You could pay dowry on the man. ![]() |
@Sultaan, Great job. Let those eyes remain open. |
I had very high hopes for this boy thinking with the kind of intelligence Etteh has just anyone will be fine for that seat. He has turned out to be intellectually barren. I weep for Nigeria each time this boy grants an interview . Keyamo, more grease to your elbow. I hope this path will lead Bankole direct to jail |
Alright sugar mummy. See you again next year. I hope you remember your password. |
I doubt it if Babangida with all the money he spent on that mansion can have something as beautiful as what we are shown. You don't give money to someone and say go build me a fine house. There is always an owner's input. I beg this can't be IBB's house. If I see it I will know it. |
Isnt that a fireplace at 14.jpg. If it is why would IBB need one in his Nigerian home? Those pics were obviously taken by a proffessional who had all the time and equipment.Everyone knows IBB suffers from paranoia. He will never allow it as long as he lives. They were culled from somewhere on the net. Its only a matter of time before OP is smoked out by someone. |

I would say your dad is still nursing his wound. One that was sustained on account of his failed expectation from UTime like they say heals all wounds. don't reopen his wound by showing defiance or hostility. Breaking communication with your dad is an act of defiance if not hostility. Let him heal. You try and set goals for yourself and make him proud through your accomplishments. Confidence, respect and a father's love will return naturally. Good luck. |
How can a 23yr old man be too young for marriage? Bull crap. Someone I know got married at 23, his wife was 22 doing her NYSC (same set with Ali Baba, then a rascally comedian-he had not started wearing tie ). My friend attained financial independence just before then and being the thrifty person that he is, money has never been a problem. He and his hearthrob are living the life.Anyone who says otherwise owes this man an apology. Go get married.Quick.Marriage does not take anything away. It adds to your life. |
toba1909:Shooo. Which one una dey hail the guy now. He advertised a car for sale. If I say okay toba, you don too suffer take this 7mil go buy the car make u dey use.Are you sure you will not make a detour? |
You and your beau seem to operate at different frequencies. This relationship is for short term convenience only. Serious issues will arise in the long term. Enjoy it and then move on. |
You cant make sense of American judicial system.Tobechuku is looking conservatively at 100yrs imprisonment (People have been jailed for 600yrs in America for stealing much less). Yet murderers will get 8yrs in some states. 2ndly I feel sorry for the boy because much sooner than later, he is going to be caught. He has a loud mouth and his 10mins of (inglorious) fame will be history. |
Ladies niii. In all likelihood that phone of his will remain very quiet as the number will be ignored. If he had said something like girls wanted age 19-25yrs. Will pay 15k for shor-tem. It wont stop ringing. |
