pazienza: So you believe your sweet lies? The Yoruba lies of Jesus Fajuiyi who sacrificed his life for an already condemned Ironsi?
Rationally, does that Yoruba lies of Fajuiyi insisting to die with Ironsi make any sense to you? Does that kind of action look like something a Yoruba man is capable of?
Oh the folly of Jesus Fajuiyi, who didn't like his life enough to save it, but decided to throw it away in a stupid cause, stupid in the sense that with or without his death, Ironsi would have still be murdered, his( Fajuiyi) death hence was meaningless!
Who ever concocted that Fajuiyi Jesus story is an slowpoke, great liars often make sure their lies stay as close to the truth as possible, but in the case of Jesus Fajuiyi, even without Nwankwor story, any rational being can deduce the lies in that story. Where did you go to school ? Please get off this forum before you degrade its standard, biko. |

Honestly, I don't know what to make of people whose collective behaviour brings them out as despicable set of people. The bad blood generated by Chinua Achebe's falsification of history is still pervading and here is another former Captain and Senator blatantly falsifying facts. In his sttempt to desecrate facts, for whatever reasons, he inadvertently presented Ironsi as a man not worth his uniform, rank and position. A man who heard of on-going coup against him yet timidly sat waiting for them as a lame dock? I was alive when the events of 1966 was unfolding. Aguiyi Ironsi and Adekunle Fajuyi were ambushed along a road in Ibadan. I saw the picture of their gruesome murder in the then Daily Times. Not in any bush. I wouldn't be surprised if this so-called senator was a coward who heard of The coup but chickened out and bolted leaving his colleagues to their fate. Considering the mood of the coupists and their mission, his story from the time the police commissioner allegedly called to the end lacks logic. The length people can go to manufacture mischief beats me hollow. |

ShowYourCertificate: The APC should do an introspection to find out why the planned merger with APGA failed. Did they meet the wrong people? Were they diplomatic in their approach? What was the terms of agreement? And so on. It is only then that the APC should know why the merger failed and try to improve upon it. This was what was done when the initial planned merger between ACN and CPC didn't pull through.
APC shouldn't play the tribal card you are suggesting lest it will crumble. Just my humble advice. You mean APGA knew better than the ACN, CDC and ANPP that these three failed to see what Apga saw? Stop deceiving yourself, I gbos play the politics of hatred and bigotry. It is hereditary in them. Azikiwe and his minions did it many times to spite the Yoruba but the former always came out the worst for it. If Ngige had contested on the platform of APGA or even PDP, he would've won the election but they voted against him for, according to them, associating with the Yoruba through CAN and Tinuba. In their warped perception, ACN and Tinubu made the APC a Yoruba party. APC has better things to do than to waste time doing retrospection on Igbo matters arising from the elections. They are irrelevant. Period. Without their votes, anyday anytime, The APC will win. Let them play the opposition. It's no more than they deserve. |

jayfolarin: APC never sidelined the SE, it's the igbos that have shown unwarranted hate towards the party. When APC was being formed, APGA was invited but they pulled out at the last minute, everything was done during the campaign to appease the igbos but they wouldn't have it. They even voted massively out of hate against Ngige despite the promise of the senate presidency. What more could have been done?
Igbos have an history of being unreasonably hateful and ungrateful, I don't see the hatred going away even if buhari transforms the SE into a paradise. IMHO, buhari and the APC do not need to appeal to the igbos in anyway, they should be the least prioritised if there's anything!
The one group that needs that appeasal is the south south. This is because they contribute immensely to the economy and do not practice the politics of bitterness like the igbos. It was understandable that they voted for their son in the just concluded election and even at that, they gave GMB more votes than the SE. Talk about crying more than the bereaved.
With the nigerdelta votes in the bag, the igbo votes becomes completely irrelevant as the worst that can happen is what we witnessed during the election.
Like every other region in nigeria, the SE will feel the wind of change but they should forget any special treatment or prioritised developmental projects. "Every region will be positively affected" that's the best you can get. The Lord of the universe shall bless you beyond your expectations. The I gbos should constitute the least worry of any sane government. They've shown their card, Let them stick to it without adopting any subtlety that won't impress anybody. |

ShowYourCertificate: No it isn't. If Buhari and APC are wise politicians, they should strive to win the love of the SE region. This way APC will have a national appeal and not an ethnic party (yoruba+hausa party) appeal that it is at the moment.. Do you reason with your anus? Of the present 6 geo-political regions of this country, the APC has an impressive spread in 4 and you call that an ethnic party? Some here needs his head examined. The APC need not win any set of bigots to its side. Let them go to hell or do their worst. |

This is serious! Some posters here said tthis guy ain't serious. I doubt that. Not an educated man issuing such threats with his face wide open. He is ready to die for this course. Let no one deceive him/herself that this is a freak thing. No. This man is at the head of a convergence of groups. He did say something good, though. He said Africans are poor, ignorant and stupid. Very correct. It's time we stopped being docile with what our so-called leaders do wrong. We say our govts and countries are bad and run to other countries as if we would never come back. The truth is, east, west, north or south, home is home. Let everyone go back to his/her origins and have it developed. 14 day's grace is magnanimous enough for the wise cripple in my opinion. I remember Nigeria also has "Ghana must go" in our records and that was when Ghana was in dire need. So we all have this animalistic tendencies in us. Every race or tribe has something innately beastly in them. It may take time to come to the fore. |
