Be informed that US gallon conversion to Litres is different from UK gallon to Litres (otherwise known as Imperial gallon).

The measure of fuel economy is quite easy. You can measure as MPG (Miles per gallon) or KMPL (Kilometer per litre).

Pay attention to your instrumental cluster. Some cars speedometer are calibrated in Mile, Kilometer or the combination of both. The bolder speed indicator is the speed unit designed for the car.

Two key parameters are required.
1. Quantity of fuel used in Litre/gallon
2. The distance covered with respect to the quantity of fuel purchased.

For instance.
I covered 75km with 2k fuel equivalent to 12 Litres
1km = 0.62miles
1 litre = 0.26gallon

KMPL/MPG = 75km/12litres = 6.25KMPL = 14.7MPG

Electrician just check this morning and notice both sensors are not working. One as been riped off and the other not connected. Should that be the cause?.

I just noticed that my car (Rover Si620 model) started bringing out dark thick smoke, and was consuming excess fuel.
We changed the nozzles, air flow, plugs and the car started moving well but the smoke still persist. Then we the mechanic asked the rewire to check what else could be the cause, then he said, water entered the brainbox and it is not controlling the fuel consumption again and that's why it was still smoking.
Then we change the brainbox, still the fuel consumption and smoke still continues.
Now I noticed again that the fuel pump is not working fine as the car takes longer to start after it has been used for long and parked, I will need it to cool for like 15-30mins then it will start again.

Experts, I need counsel on what to check? Or I just sell the car (but my fear is selling the car and the buy will get a solution to it, just like my previous car, would always trip off on motion (timing belt will always cut, not knowing that the engine seal was dripping oil into the timing belt, making it to slack and the belt would cut then car would stop working - the buyer told me that after fixing the engine seal, it stopped and I have sold the car).

Finally the mistery has been unravelled thanks to Gazzuss. I called him and explained to him that the car isn't scanning. He told me what to do and it worked.

From all indications...it is a faulty wiring that is triggering most of these codes.
Can someone recommend a very sound and knowledge able auto electrician to me. One who has the accurate equipments

and on heavy traffic and noticed that my temperature reading was on half mark, I quickly turned off the AC and it dropped to it's usually temperature level.

I got home and scanned and was getting these error codes. And I just changed my gear oil in April, no abnormally, no blinking, no blinking and gear shifts fine.

When your catalyst disappear tomorrow you won't know the one that remove it, stick to one mechanic e get why, and not all fault that scanner will tell you, that is why you always argue with mechanic..

So I'm trying to get a used car for myself because of the funds at hand. I already missed out on a god Honda civic deal. Now I'm discussing with a guy that wants to sell Nissan Altima 2008 V4.
But my mechanic that wants to go with me insist I shouldn't bother that he's had a bad experience with one before.

PS: The only problem bro fix is the Steering pump. Which he honestly told me. The car is neat and a keyless entry.
(I like it already).

Presently, I drive an old model Toyota RAV4 and a 2003 Subaru Forester. I have changed Mechanics 3 times since July last year. They keep disappointing me. You give your car to a mechanic you consider as experienced, one has to sit down there for him to do the right thing and I don't have the time. Immediately you leave, he ask his boys to do the work and I'm not comfortable with these small boys expertise.
The second one tell lies as if tomorrow won't come. Common parts, he'll tell you is 20k and still charge me high after scraping me financially on parts. The third one will not just do the work except you are there and sometimes I do see up to 4 car owners dragging him.
Please what's your experience with our local mechanics and how have you been coping with them?
