Less than three months after the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, joined his ancestors, his second in command, Obalufe of Ife, Oba Solomon Folorunso Omisakin has also passed on.

Though one of the palace chiefs, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Daily Sun when our correspondent visited the palace yesterday that Omisakin was in an undisclosed hospital, one of his daughters, when contacted, confirmed that he actually died at 10a.m. yesterday.

The daughter, who also preferred anonymity emotionally said: “won ti ku o,” meaning “he has died.”

It was gathered that the late Obalufe, who was also the leader of Ife kingmakers, was on sick bed when  Sijuwade died in a London Hospital during a brief illness.

When Daily Sun visited the palace at Iremo in Ile-Ife, family members and palace chiefs were in pensive mood.

They were seen discussing the development in groups.

Ife traditional chiefs, however, allayed fears about  Obalufe’s demise, insisting it  would not in any way affect  efforts to appoint a new Ooni.

A source said the next in rank, Lowa of Ife, Oba Joseph Ijaodola, might perform the functions of the late Obalufe, whose duty it was to make official pronouncement of the new Ooni when appointed.

Another source from the Giesi Ruling House commiserated with the people of Ile-Ife and expressed shock over the development.
The source admonished the remaining  kingmakers to quicken the mourning processes to avoid delay in appointing a new Ooni.

Fuel efficiency: terrible especially in the city, a bit fair for traveling but still bad. Average mpg when new is 16/23. For a 14 yr old chances are u won't even get close to that mpg. And I'm talking about the 3.0L v6. U don't wanna go near the v8 if u care about fuel efficiency.

Durability: Not durable. It is a good car no doubt, but not advisable if it is ur ONLY car. If u have another car then u can use this to supplement.

Spare availability: depends on ur location. If ubare not in Lagos it might be difficult getting parts.

Spare costs: higher than ur average Toyota and Honda of the same year.

Overall: good car to enjoy when it works. But not good for an only car, gas guzzler in city and traffic driving.

now that's my problem with it. At least 1m could mean any amount so where is the declaration. He's is not straight forward, he's not honest except he don't know exactly his worth or what he have.

The at least N1m statement was made before elections. The actual amount has just been decleared as N30m or there about.

Mr. President never said he has about N1m in his account but said "I have at least N1m in my account, ...." That mean any amount above N1m.

That was an intelligent use of words and a lot of people got it wrong.

I sure know his father as the ex-minister but that has got nothing to do with the topic here. He simply stated his opinion about PMB's 100 days in office criticism and his plan to help the youths within his community in the area of education. That, I think is not a display of dumbness rather that of strength.
