Isaacmacdon:true, apart from when almost all the members of the chat group are all number 8 |

Anyway, so I'm sure all of you have some WhatsApp group chats going on in your phone right now. No? You must be a social recluse then. Because even my most anti-social friend sends me screenshots of bitchy WhatsApp group chats that he encounters. Some of them, like one of ones i'm currently in (MOSA '09 Group) don't let you sleep at night. You wake up in the morning and you see up to 800 messages and it leaves you wondering is some people sleep at night. Here are some things i noticed about the people in the group. I'm sure they apply to any other whatsapp group out there: #1 The group admin: The group admin has power. Or so I like to think. Possibly because I happen to be the group admin of a few WhatsApp group chats, and I like to think I have sole control over these groups that I started. Yes, I can wield the power of adding and deleting people from the Group Chat. I AM POWERFUL, ALL FEAR ME. #2 The Bitch: Much as I like Nicki Minaj, I'd have to disagree. They criticize anything and everything ranging from the price of Mary Kay in the market to someone's display picture My phone is my refuge, my sanctuary, my haven. It is a place where I can seek solace from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. So when someone floods my WhatsApp group chats with negativity and bitching, don't blame me if I exercise my power as a group admin to kick you outta the group #3 The Imager: When someone floods an entire WhatsApp group chat with memes of Kermit the frog, the poor people in the chat have no choice of their own - they will see your photos and allow their phones to become flooded with stupid images. Nowadays i take one look at my phone gallery and i'll think my phone has gotten possessed by some evil entity that loves pictures, then i remember i belong to groups on my Whatsapp. Like our phones aren't messy enough. Damn! Aint't none of my business, though. #4 The Organizer: The Organizer also plays a pivotal role in WhatsApp group chats. The organizer is always a person is possibly more evolved than the rest of the group's participants. He/she knows that friendship cannot be formed through online communications alone. Humans need to meet physically in order to cement their friendships. And this organizer is the one who ensures the continuity of our friendships. #5 The Counselor I don't mean to be a bitch, but sometimes, some people have to shut up. There are many times when there is this person who is too willing to offer their expertise on what people should do with their lives. You're probably as qualified to dispense advise as I am. (Which is not at all really. Taking my advice on life would be suicide). Unless you're have qualifications as a psychoanalyst, or you're really hot...then by all means, please counsel me. #6 The Snitch This is the person who provides the group with all the latest gists and gossip. they usually don't speak much, they just kinda drop a gist from time to time and go back to being mute. And you have no idea where this person get the news from because usually he/she just sits there and doesn't talk at all. Maybe it's one of those "quiet observer" things. I wouldn't know. I'm not really the quiet observer sort. #7 The Off-Point: These people never follow conversations. They enter just drop random crap and totally off-topic lines. They enter the group and ask, "Abeg, who knows where i dropped my Nokia torch charger", thereby derailing the conversation. I confess, I've done this before, but who are you to judge?? Don't forget, I'm a group admin. I'll kick you out if you complain and re-add you the next day! #8 The Silent Ones: [img]http://4.bp..com/-83_MK154ouk/VcUE9gYjJ5I/AAAAAAAAA2Q/k_ujCTfkuDE/s1600/silence_by_funny_pics_club.jpg[/img] These ones never reply. Ever. They just stay mute and occupy space. And when he/she eventually starts participating like a normal member and after being welcomed like a long lost brother, he simply vanishes again, and returns once in a blue moon #9 The Correct Guys/babes: These are the ones who are just right. They are the ones who participate, but not too aggressively. They start conversation but not too much. They are the kind of people who everyone want to be in the same group with. This group include people like me source: http://listernaija..com/2015/08/10-kinds-of-people-in-whatsapp-chat.html cc lalasticlala, obynoscopy |
Do you remember the days when we watch movies of rugged-looking soldiers shooting planes out of the sky with lasers and we would laugh and term it impossible? I mean, who would forget movies such as George Lucas' Star Wars series. Sorry to tell you, but some of those technologies are already in existence. Some of them are listed below: #1 Lasers: We ain't talking about the miserly medical lasers,we're talking big big lasers that can shoot planes straight out of the sky. Let's start with planes. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is experimenting with mounting laser cannons on planes, if for no other reason than to give those awful people who shine laser pointers at airborne planes a taste of their own medicine. But then again, when you think about it, pilots are such a thing of the past. Drones are the future. We've already put bombs and machine guns on them, why not lasers? Recently U.S. Air Force captain and drone pilot Michael Byrnes explained in a military magazine how unmanned laser drones could be the future of aerial dogfighting. So, soon every air battle will be like Top Gun, but if Maverick was a robot and the planes burned up mysteriously because technically you won't even be able to see the laser. But what if we create this technology and it falls into enemy hands? Simple: Just equip Hummers with anti-drone lasers. That way when our creation comes back to kill us like some Frankenstein monster made out of pure energy, we can take it out with EVEN MORE LASERS. #2 Auto-aiming guns: Amazingly, technology now exists to make you and (more importantly) military snipers a perfect shot almost every time. A company called TrackingPoint, which according to its founder is full of "video game nerds," has created a gun for the military that makes shooting a distant target laughably easy. Whereas before snipers had to calculate a dozen different things in their head in order to get the perfect shot, now the gun can do it all for them. Literally. These firearms can tell the "atmospheric conditions, cant, inclination, even the slight shift of the Earth's rotation known as the Coriolis effect." That's right -- this gun can feel the Earth move. (And not in a sexual way, unless you really don't understand why most people like guns...or how sex works.) Forget snipers doing endless calculations; with TrackingPoint's gun, as long as they know the wind speed and direction, they are good to go. #3 SuperVision: Even though the military has access to radar, sonar, heat-seeking missiles, etc., in the end they are still limited by what their soldiers can actually see. But the military-industrial complex has never stopped trying to improve our weak and feeble eye abilities. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology recently built the military a fun new toy that literally sees through walls. It might look like a combination of outdated computers and a post office, but it was built to assist soldiers during urban combat by giving them access to one of Superman's best powers. #4 Space Warfare: By now people have gone to war on pretty much every inch of the Earth (you're next, Antarctica). And since video games have taught us that we inevitably get sick of killing people in front of the same scenery over and over, the next logical place to take war is outer space. Don't scoff; the technology is already available for some celestial ass-kicking. China has already started testing its anti-satellite missiles, which, if ever utilized in warfare, could completely cripple countries who depend on the technology. Kinetic bombardment was an idea put forth by an engineer turned science fiction writer in the 1950s. Also called "Rods from God" (because people were innocent back then and were not making a deity boner joke), the idea was simple: Send some sort of spacecraft to orbit the Earth armed with tungsten bars. Then drop them. No matter what you are trying to hit, even something deep underground, it will blow up. Also known as kinetic penetrators, these are guaranteed to give anyone a good shafting. #5 Human Exoskeleton: Since we can't have an all-robot Army just yet, America's DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) have stepped in and invented a kind of Advanced Warfare wearable exoskeleton that will make the average soldier as close to a robot as possible: faster, stronger, and less likely to get injured. Suddenly, those 100 pounds are going to feel like 50, allowing real live soldiers to push themselves much further. Sometimes called the Iron Man suit, this technology is actually named Warrior Web, and it is unbelievable. It is lightweight, but strong. Flexible, except when it needs to be firm. Soldiers wearing it can theoretically run a four-minute mile. It incorporates a liquid armor that can stop bullets and prevent chemical weapons from entering the body. It once dated Jennifer Lawrence and can solve a Rubik's Cube in under a minute. That last bit might be made up, but honestly, it is really hard to tell. All these just make me wanna join the army. I believe someday our army will be advanced but first we gotta start taking research seriously and stop depending for ready-made. Is there any one i skipped? let me know in the comments section below Source http://listernaija..com/2015/08/5-sci-fi-fantasy-weapons-you-didnt-know.html |
