SirRiddy..kudos to you for your illuminating responses. Indeed you are a top PhD student. I just want to ask if a GRE score of 307 without writing TOEFL and high CGPA can secure a PhD GA for Biological Sciences.

Surely more than 1000 peeps were invited for the test. I was number 1030 on their list. But I doubt if everyone on those lists showed up.

We could all learn lessons from this disastrous chelsea team:
1. Rebels (for a negative cause) never achieve much in life. Costa, Fabregas and other players that rebelled against Mourinho will surely end their careers on a sad note.
2. Don't be impulsive in taking decisions: Abramhovic and his board members must be counting their losses now for the numerous sackings.

What is obtainable in department A may differ from department B even within the same school. The percentage tuition waivers also differ from full tuition to 30% tuition (the minimum I've come across).
Now, as students, we need to actually take the school selection process more seriously. I regret tossing out many applications to schools just because they had my desired course together with good rankings. There are so many factors to consider. However, we need to prioritise them. Top of the list, ld be funding availability.

I totally agree with u bro..I had a friend who finished with a 4.49 GPA who got a fully funded MSc GTA offer from Catholic University of America, Washington DC
