papagiddy:I am a Muslim, and I have gladly accepted invitations from Christians to visit their places of worship, especially Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Halls. Engaging in such visits reflects my belief in mutual understanding and respectful dialogue between people of different faiths. Honestly, I appreciated the invitation from the Jehovah's Witnesses to visit their Kingdom Hall. Compared to other churches I’ve attended, their programs and activities felt refreshingly calm and composed. What stood out the most was that my identity as a Muslim did not feel like a barrier or something that needed special attention. I sat through the entire sermon, listening attentively, without any pressure to jump, dance, shout, or be put on display as a first-time attendee. It was an experience where I could simply observe, reflect, and engage peacefully. Note: I simply sat or stood when required in all of the invites, respecting their space and customs without compromising my own beliefs. |
papagiddy:Yes, a Muslim can visit a church, provided the visit aligns with Islamic guidelines. Islam emphasizes respect for all places of worship, as they are seen as spaces where God is worshipped. Here are some considerations: 1. Intent: The purpose of the visit should be lawful and respectful. This could include attending interfaith dialogues, cultural events, or understanding the practices of others for educational reasons. 2. Respectful Behavior: Visitors should behave respectfully in the church, such as dressing modestly and following the church's protocols (e.g., silence during prayer sessions). 3. No Participation in Worship: While observing is permissible, engaging in acts of worship specific to other faiths is generally prohibited in Islam. 4. Interfaith Dialogue: Visiting a church can be an opportunity to foster mutual understanding and respectful conversations, which aligns with Islamic principles of promoting peaceful coexistence. Ultimately, such visits should be guided by the principles of respect, wisdom, and adherence to one’s own faith. |

paxonel:But when you attribute divinity to the wrong person or being, it becomes a deeply significant and problematic matter. Misunderstanding or misrepresenting the nature of God is not just a theological error, but it can lead to fundamental misalignments in one’s spiritual journey, causing confusion and potentially leading people away from the truth. |
Tubexsms:The fact that he accurately predicted future events does not necessarily confirm that he is a man of God. I am not implying that he is a man of the devil either. However, it is important to remember that many individuals who claim to be men of God have successfully foretold certain events, yet they have also failed in other prophecies. Accuracy in predictions alone is not sufficient to determine the true source of their insight or authority. |
Tubexsms:So in one word. He is a true man of God right? |
essentialone1:Do we need to go far, sehbi you can see the Ipob militant observing jumat prayers and shouting allahu akbar. |
gohf:Okay brother. I totally understand you. |
gohf:Are you a Christian by the way? |
By the year 2224, if the age of consent is raised to 30, future generations may regard our current standards as lacking in moral values. They might even describe us using terms like "pedophile," suggesting that our modern acceptance of relationships with individuals aged 16 or 18 would be seen as inappropriate by their societal norms. |
MadamVanessa:Why does the Bible speak against the worship of graven images or statues, yet some Christians continue practices such as bowing before statues of Mary, saints, or even showing excessive reverence toward their pastors? Is there a theological or cultural justification for this? If you have an explanation for this apparent act, it would also be helpful to provide an explanation to clarify the explanation you requested for above. |
Walking through the streets of Ibadan, I have never encountered a Christian outrightly proclaiming that Jesus is God. Even within my own family, when I asked my Christian relatives whether Jesus is God, they were visibly surprised by the question (how can Jesus be God). My younger cousins, too, were taken aback when they came across claims that Jesus is God, I was like— (dem no teach for unna church say Jesus is God). Interestingly, none of them attend any of the churches listed above. This makes me wonder, when did the assertion that "Jesus is God" begin to gain prominence? Growing up, all I ever heard in Christian circles was the phrase "Jesus is the Son of God." The idea of Jesus being identified as God wasn’t something I had come across during my early years until recently flying all over the internet. |

SIRTee15:If the claim is that Muhammad (peace be upon him) died with his aorta severed, does this suggest that he was truthful throughout the 23 years of his prophethood, up until the moment he was accused of lying and was consequently punished by Allah with such a death? |
Kingsempires:My friend, what do we call people who were brought back to life by our pastors and General Overseers? Isn't that a second chance after their first death? |
MaxInDHouse:If you had unquestioningly accepted the interpretation given to you by your Alfa from the beginning, you likely wouldn’t be the person you are today. Let’s consider it this way: I’ve consulted with three different individuals on a particular interpretation, and each confidently claimed theirs was the correct one. Eventually, I encountered you, who provided what I now recognize as the absolute and true interpretation. If I had accepted the very first person’s interpretation without questioning or even engaging others, I would have never been open to considering yours, no matter how truthful or accurate it is. You might think I’m merely trying to entertain myself or create a situation where two Christians argue with one another. But I say to you, from such debates or even entertainment, the truth often emerges. It is through questioning, discussion, and sometimes disagreement that we can uncover what is genuinely true. |
Kobojunkie:Your point raises an interesting perspective, but I believe there's a distinction between translation and interpretation. Even with a translation in one’s native language, interpretation can still be necessary because languages often carry nuances, idioms, cultural contexts, and historical backgrounds that may not be immediately clear to a modern reader. However, I must admit that it’s quite concerning how different people interpret scripture, especially when some claim that one needs the Holy Spirit to properly understand it. While that may hold little truth, I firmly believe that not every word in scripture is meant to be taken literally. By using common sense and examining the context of each chapter, it becomes clearer what should be interpreted literally and what should be understood metaphorically. This approach helps in developing a balanced and meaningful understanding of the text. |
johnw47:MaxInDHouse, Kobojunkie, This is exactly the point I am trying to make. I’m not seeking contradictions or attempting to challenge anyone unnecessarily; rather, I am genuinely interested in understanding various perspectives on this matter. Hearing and considering different points of view enriches the conversation and helps us grasp the full context of the topic at hand. See how interpreting the phrase "every eye shall see him," is literally explained by johnw47 and he cite Matthew 24:27, which states, "For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man." |
Kobojunkie:1. You made an excellent point in response, and I can see the beauty in your reasoning. However, I’m uncertain whether it applies to the entire Earth. What exactly does 'every eye' signify in this context? It's reminiscent of how some interpret 'sent to all nations' as referring to the entire universe, while others, like you, see it as addressing only the 12 tribes of Israel. 2. If he thinks that interpretation is plausible, I’d appreciate it if he could elaborate on how it can work. On the other hand, if it stems from a misunderstanding, I’d still value his clarification to better understand his perspective. 3. I’d also like to gain insight into this point, especially in relation to the person I referenced earlier. |
Captain4Jehovah:Thank you for your response. However, I believe it's important to approach this question logically. How would people across the entire Earth be able to see Jesus descending from the clouds simultaneously? Using basic logic, even the Sun–which is approximately 1.3 million times larger than Earth–cannot be seen by everyone on Earth at the same time due to the planet's curvature and rotation. So, how plausible is it for Jesus to literally descend from the clouds and be visible to people on opposite sides of the globe? Would this require a supernatural phenomenon beyond human comprehension, or could it be symbolic rather than literal? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this since you said it literal. |
MaxInDHouse:Not everyone will agree on doctrinal issues, even within the same denomination, as interpretations often vary. That being said, I genuinely want to understand his personal perspective on the phrase, "every eye will see Him in the sky."Does he interpret it literally, believing it refers to a physical, visible event, or metaphorically, as a symbolic or spiritual occurrence? While I appreciate hearing your interpretation, I would also value hearing his thoughts directly. Please allow him to share his viewpoint. |
MaxInDHouse:Kindly allow Captain4Jehovah whom I referenced to clarify my question or confirm whether what you’ve stated aligns with his own intended meaning. |
MaxInDHouse:Does in the SKY not make his statement sound literally seeing him in the sky? I still want him to explain how all eyes will see him. |
Captain4Jehovah:Please HOW will every eyes see HIM? |
