What is duly recognised by God is payment of bride price.But unfortunately today, the churches have made it almost compulsory for all members to do Church weddings otherwise you will not be allowed some roles in the Church. You may wish to refer me to any portion in the Bible where a Church wedding was conducted the same way it is being done in today's churches.

Too much sense in this thread. I have always held this view even though I have no problems with who ever chooses to do an elaborate wedding,after all I did all the above listed unnecessary things during my wedding. But frankly speaking, Church wedding is just unnecessary waste of resources.

I hereby apologize to all Central and Northern Cross riverians for my derogatory outburst on the other thread which I've now deleted. We Efiks love the rest of Cross river and we hope to continue to work together to move the state forward. Ayade's failure is not the Atam's fault.
Even if the state break up, there's still so much we can benefit from each other. we hope to continue to be in good terms .
Also,Atam is a derogatory word but i used it for the purpose of this thread .We will work on abolition of the term .

How some people like the OP reasons really baffles me. Can anybody here tell me the medical magic used on Buhari that since he came back from that dead alleged sickness he has never gone back for check up? Those in the medical sector will agree with me that after any healing section, there must always be a follow-up in the form of check up. So why is Buhari's situation different? Take it or leave it,Buhari died since 2017.

This is getting more interesting. I have always believed Nnamdi Kanu on this, mostly when taking into consideration the fact that since this man came back from that death alleged medical trip, I have never heard of him travelling for any check up which remains an important routine in the medical sector. Nigeria is in a serious mess.
