Here was my comment and this was your reply. Please can you objectively show me where I said Cameroun will beat Nigeria.
If you can't I expect an unreserved apology but if you can show me where I said otherwise, I'm dangling a 100k prize. Here and now... This offer is open to anyone.

Oga, who you wan deceive? This was a comment you made during the AFCON. Cameroon had not even reached the final yet. Show us the ones you made in the weeks leading to the Nigeria vs Cameroon clash.
There is no point trying to defend yourself. Our memories have not failed us.

The way you pull out some skewed statistics each time you want to bring down a Nigerian player is so disturbing. A Nigerian player does well, you do not show up but when he gets even an average rating you come here to make noise.

As I said, no need defending yourself. We know you already.

For our participation in the WC, these should be our 5 most influential players:
Alex Iwobi, Victor Moses, Mikel Obi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi.

If up to 4 out of these 5 players can bring in their "A" game we will hit Croatia very hard.

I know Rohr is not so comfortable with starting with a 3-5-2 formation. But I think he has experimented with it well enough to have known the suitability of this pattern.

I suggest Rohr should go for it.

I initially suggested an Iwobi-Iheanacho front line but after certain considerations I switch to a Moses-Iheanacho front line.

Victor Moses: I know he may not be in the good books of many now due to his performances from the last 2 friendlies. But we know why. The break Rohr gave to him. At least his better performance against Czech shows he is getting back the flow of the Rhythm. Moses we all know throws discipline away when he wears the National team jerseys but we know how many goals he has scored from such selfish moves. Most of the goals he scored in the qualfiers were from his selfish runs. Same again against Poland.
Moses can be a deadly weapon for us when he brings his "A" game.

My starting line up against Croatia: 3-5-2.

................Uzoho

.....Omeruo..Ekong.. Balogun

Ebuehi..Mikel(CM)..Ndidi(DM)..Idowu
......................Iwobi(AM)

..............Iheanacho... Moses

Ndidi should be made to sit in front of the 3CBs and then Mikel the CM and Iwobi the AM. Iwobi and Mikel can intermittently switch positions in the middle.

Moses MUST be drilled to work with Iheanacho, Iwobi, Mikel and Idowu for him to function effectively in that position. Moses and Iheanacho are pacy players which is what we need to outwit the Croatian midfield including the excellent passing abilities of Mikel and Iwobi.

Mikel and Ndidi including the RCB and LCB should do well to cover for Ebuehi and Idowu when they make the forward runs.

With excellent tactical discipline and Luck too we can crack Croatia with this formation.

An excellent tactical analysis. One of the best and most practicable I have seen here.

But let me make one comment that may not go down well with some of us here.

I know some of us here are super analysts but We should stop giving our opponents possible Rohr's tactical plans. Icon4s listing certain players as our key strength can be picked and worked upon by our opponents, even though they may know them already.

Sir, you never know, you may just have exposed Rohr's tactics here. The world is a global village. Look at the number of guests always viewing this thread. There may be Croats, Icelanders and Argentines amongst them.

Nobody gets a prize for predicting the formation and tactics correctly abeg.

My 2kobo.

Oga forgiveness i think you have been in this business for so long and you must know better how Nigeria national team selection goes irrespective of coach(foreign or local)

Different interest came into players selection and do not be deceived Rohr must listened to his back room staffs, so what they give him he works with.

I want to tell you that five dropped players from original 35 man list played against Atletico, and one keep on asking why players like Samuel Kalu,Ebere Eze,Peter Olayinka and Ajagun were not called up even if Rohr has seen enough of Nwakaeme,Kayode,Alampasu and Esiti.

Sir this is Nigeria nothing should surprised you,a lot of damn pressure from officials, agents and backroom staffs, bros you should know better,Nigeria factor and it would take an highly discipline coach to succeed.

I remember i was having discussion with Humility017 and i said i know a lot about eagles especially players invitations.

Check Simeon injury issue,an NFF official insisted that Simeon must have another medical check up in London cos he was suspecting conspiracy. This are the pressure a coach face in managing Nigeria national team.

But good things is that Rohr is getting it right by managing the team irrespective of players recommended to him.He gave them the opportunity but if you don't measured up you are out

Sir let's hope for better WC irrespective of players involved cos 2018 w definitely determine 2019 Afcon and 2022 WC.

God bless you sir. Words of a wise man. We perfectly understand the various interests associated with players selection which u have highlighted a couple of them unlike someone that the only thing he sees is nepotism.

So, it means Kayode, Dessers, Peter Olayinka, Samuel Kalu, Abdul Ajagun, Bonaventure Boniface, Sone Aluko, Nwakaeme didn’t make the list despite their performance this season and the fact that they were fit as the time the list was made and submitted? grin

But Nwakali, Sadiq etc made the list?

Look at those most affected! shocked angry

Ok na. No problem. Nepotism is the order of the day.

No wonder dis country is not progressing.

If you talk, dey will want to shot your mouth because it favors dem. No wahala.

Oga, it is because your heart is so thickened with Nepotism that is why u see nepotism in everything.

That is an advantage to us because you know you have Iwobi who can replace a tired Mikel though he might not actually play like Mikel but we could see different style and pattern.

Iwobi must not sit on the bench to come up to replace Mikel. Simple substitution like: Remove Mikel, bring in Musa to take Iwobi's position while Iwobi goes central to play AM. WE DONT HAVE THE LUXURY QUALITY PLAYERS TO PUT IWOBI ON THE BENCH.

But that is their natural position and that is where they play in their clubs.

Because I don't want to believe Rohr will not find a replacement for Simon and go to the world Cup with Victor Moses and Ahmed Musa. That will be unimaginable.

We all know Iwobi flopped many times on that wing and he is not consistent. So, he can't be trusted on the wings except as a SS or AMF.

We also know that Iheanacho has not played well on that wing since Oliseh played him there and when Rohr played him there too though he wants to see him play there again today but I have seen him played there and I don't think he can bring what Victor and Simon bring to the team on the wing. He can't be trusted.

Therefore, I don't expect Rohr to gamble with players who are not known to play a role well in crucial world cup matches.

It doesn't make sense to anybody.

Players must be played to their strength.

Well, today's match will decide the outcome of the list.

Will Iheanacho and Lokosa perform on the wings? If yes, no wahala but if not, make him put Etebor for wing abeg or do the needful by calling a LW from the numerous that did well this season.

Afterall, Lokosa and Simy were never part of the team but they made the team and people here have already forgotten their stance on 'team cheimistry' by clamoring for the inclusion of Simy. grin

Oga who go come replace Iwobi from that wing position?

If Iheanacho is to be played from the wings it has to be the RWF position. Iheanacho is practically useless if played from the Left Wing.

Iwobi plays from both left wing and Right same with Victor Moses.

For those that don't want Iwobi on the wings, who plays the left wing if Moses is on the Right and Mikel is in the AM position?

They say Iwobi is a flop at the wings, they say he is Ineffective. A player that scored 2 goals in the WCQ when played from the wings position.
They just want to throw a big game player like Iwobi to the bench.

1. Ezenwa
2. Uzoho
3. Akpeyi

Defence
4. Omeruo
5. Balogun
6. Ekong
7. Brian
8. Echiejile
9. Aina
10. Ebuehi

Midfield

11. Shehu
12. Mikel
13. Onazi
14. Ndidi
15. Joel
16. Ogu

Attack

17. Victor
18. Ighalo
19. Iheanacho
20. Iwobi
21. Etebo
22. Simy
23. Musa

I suspect Awaziem will be dropped because Rohr tried Brian as a defender .

If Karius was Nigerian before this final, many will clamor we should play him based on his experience in the Champions League and EPL, being Liverpool's number one.

As I said, experience is not a guarantee of good performance. It takes bravery, determination and talent.

TheGoodjoe, experience is relative.
Karius does not have the experience for the job at this level.
And be deceiving yourself that experience doesn't matter. When you have never done something before where will the bravery come from? You think determination and talent alone can carry a goalkeeper that far?
You guys are really underestimating the importance of the goalkeeping department. See what poor goalkeeping can do to a whole team's effort.

And oga, please when you want to employ a driver for yourself or for your company please throw away experience. Let bravery determination and talent be the only criteria. You hear?
