On few occasions he pretends to have changed but it only takes any of the coaches to release a squad list and he is back on default mode |

BascoVanVeli: Nigeria made three U20 semifinals with most of these girls so your Where will the talent come from' case doesn't hold water.
Who said I didn't follow them in the 90s and 2000s? I might have been following them like I do now but I sure was following them at least at big competitions Must u argue everything? Everyone here that followed the old Falcons team has acknowledge they were better than what we have today. You still dey argue. Well, na icon4s dey get time for all this kind blind argument. U obviously were too young to know anything about the Falcons team of the past. So just sit and listen to what other are saying. Haba! U were following which big competition? Did you watch USA '99 WWC? |

InSanety: Nigerian politics is part of Nigerian football.
The NFF is under a Sports Ministry, headed by a minister, appointed by the President, so, Mickael2 is not wrong when he says that the Nigerian elections can be discussed here. You cannot divorce football from politics Oga please go to politics section and discuss your politics. We discuss Football here. Or better still go create your own thread where you discuss Football with politics. |

Joebie: Our Nigerian football discussions and arguments for the past 12 calendar months culminates in each and every one of us making our opinion count as regards the best players in the Super Eagles shirt for 2018. Voting ends tomorrow. Have your say. Please can we put every other discussion in the back burner for now and promote this voting process. It’s still surprising to me that some of us who came here for football talk have been busy arguing feminism and politics but have failed to vote. We have guests visiting this thread regularly. We all have the collective responsibility of promoting the Super Eagles. Voting is open to all Nairalanders for that matter.
Abeg make una enter this link and do the needful:

With 20likes and 0 shares it means we have a unanimous decision here, so no time to waste.
Next we go ahead and make nominations of Players Selection Committee members.
Please I crave the involvement of everyone in the house, including those on ghost mode.
Remember the three rules for nomination of Players Selection Committee members 1. You are to nominate one person 2. Do not nominate yourself 3. Do not nominate twice.
Ladies and Gentlemen the floor is open. Let me have the honor of opening the floor from the ghost viewing mode: Safarigirl! |

To make that wide sweeping statement you really have to know the players in question personally or have spoken to them one on one directly. Have you done any of those things ❓
Before you ask me, I have with the larger majority and spoken to thier parents too.

Oasis007: Someone is claiming Lookman wanna use SE to break to the Everton starting XI cos Onyenkuru is more rated by the same Club?!
Well I have nothing more to add, cos it's apparent you did reason like him. See why I say you are Forgiveness? You want to use your other moniker to rope chief into what you a bigot perceives as bigotry. Na you know wetin Chief do you sef. |

Oasis007: When you read some Posts here, you would surely have another meaning for the Word - Bigot...... Cos tagging Forgiveness as a Bigot is very lame and wrong; comparing to some Monikers' Posts on this Thread.
Lukman finally decides to rep GWG, yet its not seeing as a good development for the Team?! A Player that can play across the attacking Line conveniently?! So we wanna start debating who is better between Onyekuru and Lookman?! LOL! Defending your other moniker. |

Oasis007: Ighalo has not done himself any favour to remain Eagles No. 1 Striker. But I remember when Martins was suggested for a Recall by Forgiveness, the Dude was almost murdered and eaten raw on this Thread.
We keep reading "Success is back - he's a Beast" yet he has not broken to the first IX of Watford Team. Do we have a potent Striker who can replace Ighalo in the Team presently?! Can we really trust Iheanacho as the Team's lone Striker? Oga, you and forgiveness are same person. The only thing you come here to do with this moniker is to throw support for any thing your other moniker says. Just continue. |

Icon4s: See me o. What is the essence of having a striker that cannot score goals?
3 competitive goals out of which 2 are from penalty spot. And some see nothing wrong in this?
In all my years of followership of the national team we have never had it this bad in the striking position. Thank God for players like Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses who are not even natural strikers.
Even Iheanacho too has been disappointing.
I don't even want to go way back as the 80s and 90s. Let me mention a generation that almost everyone here can identify with: in the 2000s there was a time we had strikers like: Yakubu, Martins, Ike Uche, Osaze, Utaka, and Nsofor all in one squad. We were so rich in that department that we played Utaka, Nsofor and Osaze mostly from the Wings while Yakubu, Martins and Uche justle for the CF position.
Emmanuel Emenike was our last striker. Since after he dipped in his own form we have never had a number 9 again. Keshi brought in Gbolahan Salami and Aaron Samuel, 2 power strikers but where those ones day today?
Oliseh brought in Ighalo and brought back Ideye. Na just hold up play them say dem just wan do. Dem no dey fit test keeper.
It is better we just be playing with false 9s until a natural number 9 emerges. Oya team pro Ighalo wetin una get to say after this kine comment? Some people are so narrowed down to the current small picture and forget where we are coming from as a nation. Thank you sir for this reminder. You are truly a man of experience. Respect Sir! |
