[b]Boy Forced To Eat'Shit'
ByDaily Guide

4/1/2010 1:51:21 PM -
JOHN BONFUL aka Santiago, a kingpin of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Obuasi, is in the grip of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Police Service after subjecting a 12-year-old boy to degrading and inhumane treatment by forcing him toeatfaeces.
Unsatisfied with his cruel action, the 54-year-old flamboyant man, whoowns several properties in the Golden City, again compelled the little boy to drink water, after which he slapped and kicked the victim's face and lower abdomen respectively.
The boy has since had urine retention and is on admission at the Obuasi Government Hospital where he is responding to treatment. He was said to be weak at the time he was brought to the police station by his family.
The incident, which occurred around 5 am on Tuesday, has sparked anxiety in the city, raising eyebrows among residents.
ASP Sophia Eva Ennin, Obuasi Unit Commander of DOVVSU, told DAILY GUIDE that the incident occurred after the boy had attended to nature's call in an uncompleted building owned by the suspect.
According to her, an employee of Mr. Bonful, whose name was only given as Fila, spotted the victim in the act. He ordered the boy to remove the excreta from the ground, which he did.
Fila later took the boy to Santiago, whoimmediately slapped him twice and further kicked him in the lower abdomen, before ordering the victim toeatthe faeces.
Santiago then took the boy to one of his commercial bathhouses from where he compelled the victim to drink water, but he resisted and spat out the already taken-in faeces.
ASP Ennin added that Santiago proceeded to again slap the defenceless boy until he was rescued by his elder brother, Emmanuel Owusu, whoinstantly informed their mother. The latter then lodged a complaint with the police.
The DOVVSU boss indicated that Santiago has since confessed to the crime but said he only ordered the boy to taste the faeces –and not to swallow it.
He has however denied the assault charge against him, ASP Ennin added, concluding that investigations are still underway. At the time of filing this report, the suspect was still in police custody and is expected to be in court today.

Life Expectancy in Nigeria Is Dangerously Low grin grin grin grin
http://www.spyghana.com/life-expectancy-in-nigeria-is-dangerously-low/
By dailytimes.com.ng

A report by World Bank has indicated that the average life expectancy in Nigeria, which was put at 52 years as of 2011, is the 17th lowest in the world.

Analysis of the report showed that the last 20 countries were mainly Sub-Saharan African countries, except Afghanistan, where the average life expectancy was put at 49 years.

According to the report, five African countries, Sierra Leone, Lesotho, Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea Bissau and Central African Republic, ranked lowest in life expectancy with 48 years.

About 30 countries, mostly in Europe, have average life expectancy of 80 years and above, with Switzerland and Hong Kong having the highest average of 83 years.

The report, which compared life expectancy in 1990 and in 2011, showed that most countries improved over the period of about two decades.

The world average life expectancy rose from 65 years in 1990 to 70 years in 2011.

For low-income regions, it rose from 53 years to 59 years, whereas in the middle-income regions, it rose from 64 years to 69 years.

In 2011, the life expectancy average for Sub-Saharan Africa stood at 55 years, 66 years in South Asia, 72 years in Middle East and North Africa, 74 years in Latin America and Caribbean, 72 years in Europe and Central Asia and 72 years in East Asia and the Pacific.

The Euro area had the highest regional average of 81 years.

For Nigeria, the average life expectancy rose from 46 years in 1990 to 52 years in 2011.

World Bank records have it that the figure for males is 51 years while that of females is 53 years.

The report also showed that infant mortality rate dropped from 126 per 1000 live births in 1990 to 78 per 1000 live births in 2012.

Further analysis showed that Nigeria had the 7th highest infant mortality rate in the world as of 2012.

The countries that had higher infant mortality rates as of 2012 were Sierra Leone with 117 per 1000 live births, Angola 100, Democratic Republic of Congo 100, Chad 89, Guinea Bissau 81, and Mali 80.

Under-five mortality rate in Nigeria dropped from 213 per 1000 live births in 1990 to 124 per 1000 live births in 2012.

The report also showed that in Nigeria, men died more than women between 2006 and 2011.

It put the adult mortality rate for males in Nigeria within the period at 387 per 1000.

In Edo State, aside from eating and selling human flesh by some villages grin, secret cults like the Eiye Confraternity, the association of witch crafts in Africa (the headquarters of witches and wizards in Africa is in Benin City, Nigeria), etc, human heads running into fifties in number are being used to bury an Oba, or a very high chief whenever he dies. This is obtained by kidnapping of non Benin indigenes. Some of the flesh are later cooked and eaten together with the blood. Are these people Ibos? Late Reverend Idahosa of Grace of God Mission International, Nigeria, fought this all his life before he died. Also, in the whole world the Edos are No. 1 in human trafficking. Some of their victims are bought and killed for rituals, some are sold into slavery in different parts of Asia and Africa, the lucky ones end up asprofessional prostitutes satisfying the endless sexual needs of white men, who sometimes transfer the sex orgies to their dogs and other pets like monkeys and baboons. huh tongue embarassed lipsrsealed undecided Ultimately they die of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.

The attendants buy the pure water in thousands of sacks, freeze them in their mortuary and sell to dealers. This is their private business. Even inside Jankara market, Lagos, human parts are being sold. grin grin Some of them get their supplies from the Mortuaries inside Lagos and some are obtained from paid kidnappers who are mainly Alayes and Omoles. Is Lagos an Ibo State? In Calabar, especially Obubra, Titi Abasi, Oloibiri, etc, human parts are freely eaten and being sold. grin grin grin grin grin Kidnapping of people and even innocent policemen are high.

Many people erroneously always ascribe the incidence of human parts business to Ibos
alone. This is a world crime to humanity also practiced by other parts of Nigeria.
In Lagos General Hospitals, human parts are freely sold by mortuary attendants grin. Also in lagos State General Hospitals, accident victims with their hearts still pumping are suffocated and their hearts and liver and sold to mafias in Europe for $10,000.00 and $12,000.00 respectively. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

The Toilet Named Nigeria grin grin grin grin grin grin

http://washafrica./2011/07/12/the-toilet-named-nigeria/
In his latest column, government critic and Professor of Creative Writing at Trinity College (USA) Okey Ndibe, voices his disgust at the practice of open defecation in his homeland Nigeria.

If you want to gauge how badly Nigerians have been animalized, then pay attention to how, and where, many of them defecate. Just recently, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) reported that 33 million Nigerians have no access to decent toilets. As a consequence, said the report, these citizens of Africa’s most populous nation answer the call of nature in the open.

Is it really only 33 million Nigerians? One is afraid that here’s one occasion when statisticians have pegged the figure too low. Nigeria – as I wrote three years ago – may be described as one vast toilet. Anybody who has traveled from Lagos to Onitsha by road knows that there isn’t one single rest area with toilet facilities along the route. At stops in Ore or Benin City, pressed passengers must hurry off into the brushes, gingerly skating around others’ feces, in order to relieve themselves.

In Ndibe’s eyes the “habit of doing in public what ought to be done in private” points to a deep cultural crisis.

Long habituated to inhuman conditions, many Nigerians have ceased noticing those peeing or defecating in the open. Or, when we notice, too many of us have lost our sense of outrage at the oddity. Public acts of pissing and defecation have become – more or less – normal, part and parcel of our social experience and landscape.

The associated health risks of Nigeria’s insanitary conditions have made Ndibe feel uneasy about shaking hands.

For me, it’s often a dilemma. I know how scandalous it would be to refuse to offer one’s hand. Yet, I can’t help wondering where the hands I shake have been, and whether they’ve been washed.

LAGBAJA SAYS NIGERIANS ARE MUMUS FOOLS
grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

http://fabmagazineonline.com/fab-outburst-nigerians-are-mumus-fools-lagbaja/
This artist has thrilled us over the years with amazing afro-infused renditions and Nigerians have come to love him so much. His outburst was in support of an article by Okey Ndibe. The question is why would he now call Nigerians fools? Read Lagbajas letter to Nigerians below and also the original piece by Okey Ndibe right after:

Dear Okey Ndibe: Thank you for sounding the alarm in a way that should make us reflect deeper. Mumu is not a condition I proudly proclaim. It was with a heavy heart that I came to this shocking realization that we are indeed a country of mumus. Harsh as it might sound, no other explanation would suffice. It is apparent that the “leaders” know that they would always get away with whatever incredible schemes they concoct because, amongst other reasons,

(a) the mumu people they “lead” are no different from their mumu “leaders” in character
(b) the mumu people are gullible, superstitious and naive
(c) there are no consequences for criminal acts if you belong to the right group
(d) these mumus never demand accountability from their “leaders”
(e) the mumus expect their rulers to loot or would otherwise consider them foolish

Apologies for the seeming overgeneralization but the vast majority runs with this mumu mindset.
There is a limit to how much one can squeeze into a song before sounding less music than sermon. Please permit me to expatiate using your perimeter of “recent events in the past week or two”.
For simplicity I would use a numbered list to analyze and highlight a few seemingly disparate but absurd mumurity examples and indicators.
1. 5 members trying to impeach a governor would make you think there are probably only 6 or 7 members of the House of Assembly. According to the assembly’s website there are 31 members. For mumus, 5 out 31 constitutes a majority.
2. In the land of mumus you can make your own mace and confer it with automatic authority, elect a “new Speaker” and swear him in.
3. No single hospital in Nigeria to entrust the unfortunately injured member with. He had to be flown to the UK.
4. Flown abroad … likely on tax payers’ account
5. Treated … likely on tax payers’ account
6. Visited by officials… likely on tax payers’ account (business or first class tickets?)
7. Nyesom Wike the Minister of State who led the visit was until recently the Governor’s (Amaechi’s) Chief of Staff. He was allegedly nominated for the Ministerial position by Governor Amaechi.
8. Shouldn’t the mumus wonder how Nyesom Wike as Minister of State for Education found the time for this all important trip while abandoning his post in spite of the raging crisis in his ministry with the Academic staff union of Nigerian universities currently on strike? Well the mumu staff and students can rot in hell I guess.
9. Madam Patience would probably have “visited” too, if not for the noise such would generate. So for now, the victim suffers alone.
10. The erstwhile pontificating police boss of the State could not find the patient’s prominent attacker for over a week.
11. Madam Patience having first denied any involvement in the crisis while verbally attacking Soyinka, eventually owns up “pouring out her grievances”.
12. She owns up to a group of visiting Bishops who came on a peace making mission to find a lasting solution to the crisis in their region. Religion is always an easy scapegoat and tool of deception in mumudom.

do nigerians have rags or cotton stuffed inside that captivity that ought to contain brain or something? I always find their level of reasoning incredibly absurd.

Can you imagine this monkey 'celebrating' billionaires in a country where 90% of the people survive on less than $2 a day, despite being a major oil exporter? so tell me, MUMU- what has the emergence of those billionaires done to you and your sick and dustbin country?

Tell me how those so-called billionaires have contributed to a better life for your impoverished azz?you see in saner societies, most of those you are hailing as 'billionaires' should be in jail.

for example, dangote has a huge interest in cement. for many years he had a monopoly over cement imports and kept the price of cement above the reach of many mumugerians. He was making huge donations to the PDP and so was allowed to do whatever he liked. Today, the price of cement is much lower in Ghana than in nigeria and yet dangote is a major cement producer in your country.

most of the so-called billionaires made their money through oil and gas deals-acquiring oil and gas blocks etc. these oil blocks are awarded at the whims and caprices of your corrupt leaders so much so that impoverished ediots like you can never dream of benefiting directly or indirectly from your oil and gas. as a stvpid as you are, can you ever dream of getting an oil contract in your country? even foreigners get oil contracts but an ediotic mumugerian like you can never get an oil contract because only one per cent of nigerians are controlling the wealth of your country. the rest of you are clueless, impoverished, suffering and smiling people who survive on less than $2 a day!

all4naija: There are many speculative reasons why Nigerians go to school in Ghana. It could be the tuition is considerably low than in Nigeria's universities. There maybe no much striking action that is a usual occurrence in the country and many other non-facility related factors. You are obviously thinking the reason is for the facilities, which I think Nigerian universities look better than those of Ghanaian universities.

Please, your universities facilities are overrated!
You are beginning to sound like a complete ediot. Ghanaian schools were established primarily for Ghanaians, so what the fvck is your problem? Are Ghanaian universities competing against nigerian universities? And who ‘overrated’ Ghanaian universities? A MUMU reporter from MUMUDOM?

If you want to go and study outside your country won’t you conduct an independent assessment before enrolling? And how sure are you that the report was even accurate?
during Obasanjo’s rule, a reporter from Punch sat down at home and drew his own questionnaire for Obasanjo. Again he sat down at home, and provided his own answers to the questionnaire and got the report published as an authentic interview with Obasanjo. So what guarantee is there that the report you are all reacting to so strongly was authentic and that the so-called journalist did not collect money for a trip to Ghana, and go and sit somewhere in Bama or Abeokuta to write that crap? Did the report make sense to you? Is it possible to have a university occupy a portakabin? Where is the photo to confirm the report? Shine your eyes, huh? and facilities and infrastructure in your own universities are in even worse condition so what the fsvck are you talking about? https://www.nairaland.com/1465506/photos-shocking-state-nigerian-universities
https://www.nairaland.com/1465352/deplorable-state-infrastructure-nigerian-universities very pathetic

In Ghana, there are many private universities. the system is structured in a way that every university is restricted to the number of courses it can handle within the context of the facilities available. The ultimate decision to enroll or not to enroll depends on you the individual. This is not rocket science, or is it?
You said Ghanaian universities are overrated, by who? We don’t really give a fvck about you nigerians, huh? Stay back in your country and leave us alone, huh? At least by reducing the number of nigerian students in Ghana we will also be reducing the number of armed robbers, pr0stitutes and cultists.
Absolute crap. As if facilities in your own universities are any better. Arrant crap
