TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Petsal(m): 1:38am On Nov 13, 2024
Hello everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the correct group for my question, so please bear with me if it's not.
I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out for guidance on completing B1/B2 visa applications for my father- and mother-in-law, who are currently residing in Nigeria. I apologize if this is the incorrect forum and appreciate your understanding if that is the case.
Here is a summary of the steps I’ve taken so far and the challenges I’m facing:
I completed the DS-160 forms for both applicants, using the same email address for each.
I made the payment at GTBank and obtained the payment receipt.
On the old Traveland platform, I created profiles to check for available dates. Unfortunately, I couldn’t secure a date before the site became unavailable.
I transitioned to the new platform, where I successfully created a profile for my father-in-law. However, I encountered issues:
I couldn’t apply the previously obtained payment receipt to the new profile.
When attempting to create a profile for my mother-in-law, I faced issues due to using the same email address on her DS-160 form.
I created a new email address to register my mother-in-law’s profile, but the account has not yet been activated.
I initially intended to create one profile and add my mother-in-law to it, so they could schedule the same interview date, but it appears the new platform does not allow this.
At this point, I am unsure how to proceed. If anyone could provide advice or guidance on navigating this process, I would greatly appreciate it. I look forward to any suggestions or solutions that might help me move forward.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

@Yessweecan: what exactly do u mean by " NOT to "TAKE SIDE" until you are through reading ALL pages. just be neutral you will be glad you did.

YessWeeCan: True bro, where i stay in MD is much more beautiful than anywhere in Lagos and Abuja put together. life here is pretty good and it has no comparison in anyway whatsoever with what is obtainable in Naija. Am loving this country big time but then, there is a MORAL LESSON for every immigrant, that was why i advised NOT to "TAKE SIDE" until you are through reading ALL pages. just be neutral you will be glad you did.

kaygee1977: Dear all, Can someone please, explain the process of the npc. I was born on June 12 1977...I have the small birth certificate...do I need to still go there and what are the requirements. Seem I am the only 7am appointment in this forum. Way early...May the Lord grant me His boundless Favour and Grace. Amen. Thank you.
Pls ensure u do the NPC cos that's what I did my self. They won't issue you another certificate cos of the age limit but they will give you an attestation of birth doc.
Requirement: you will be required to do an affidavit for declaration of age, two passport photograph and then u will put down all ur details e.g name, address etc.

A friend did his medicals around 23rd March and did his interview april and visa approved. Pls, he want to know for how many month does he needs before the medical expires cos he intend leaving the shore of naija by July ending or 2nd week of August? Thanks house
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by Petsal(m): 4:32pm On May 03, 2013
kdgom66: @kingdom: thanks a lot. Am aware he can't take her along for now.

It won't affect his visa. He can get married before he leaves Nigeria but his wife won't be able to follow him to America. They will have to wait for 5 years for him to become a citizen and then petition for her. He can petition for her as a greencard holder but there is no difference because it will take 5 years or more either ways.
