I used almost 10gb data while for Wi-Fi i used almost 30gb.

I can't remember how much i spent for this year data honestly.

Op,you dont have any excuse to use a new moniker to beg for money here. People dont trust popular NLers here who beg for money,not to talk of a new moniker. You should know better. Many scammers and fraudsters use this approach of creating new accounts and everyone is wary of them. Once you need help,shame should be forgotten. I also created a thread about one week ago begging for financial assistance,although not for me,but for someone close to me. I used my real account despite how popular i am on nairaland and how many years ive been a member. Yet,i dropped shame because i knew that creating a new account will make people to have doubts about me. Guess what? Majority of the people who commented on my thread expressed their skepticism about the authenticity of my post. They said i might be a scammer. I had to explain and explain yet only few believed me you can check out my last thread on my profile to confirm. Fortunately, only one person reached out to me in private and helped me out. He didnt ask questions,he didnt have doubts about me. And so far,ive been able to provide sufficient evidence to him that the woman whom i solicited for is real.
Few days after my thread was created, pocohantas created a thread about one timonski who has been scamming people on nairaland since 2016,using different monikers and beggy beggy styles. Majority of the people who commented on that thread vowed never to help anyone who begs for money on NL again,especially people with different accounts.
So creating a new account for this desperate purpose is like shooting yourself in the leg. Please listen to those who advised you to use your regular moniker to boost your credibility here. Only few people will have the interest to reach you via your phone number o. Everyone has financial setbacks at one point or the other,so dont be ashamed. Im sure that dangote too would have encountered brokenness before and would have begged for money from his friends.
Secondly,while waiting for help,look around at whatever you can sell in your house and try to sell it to raise money,maybe some of your clothes,shoes,accessories,jewels or gadgets. You can even sell your phone if you have to.

I wish i can help but my sister,times are hard for me too. Im still trying to raise the complete money for the woman i created my last thread for and my little business is not moving well like before, i would've helped with something.

was even talking to a bbw of recently and the way she's talking she really feel insecure of her body.

Scratch out the show off, that's lame. It's simply about ease of doing so and out of compassion for humanity. You can barely see any thread on nairaland devoid of beggars these days and unless you have totally mastered the art of not giving a f u c k, you can't help but pay attention.
Secondly, you think everyone on Nairaland stays in beggars-infested neighborhoods? Or you think it's everyone that has enough time to start visiting those areas looking for who to help?
People who don't have the energy to undergo unnecessary stress in a bid to help can just pick one or two genuines cases (even though it's rare) and help.
From my end tho, I will rather spit on their shameless skulls than waste my penny on them.

It's not necessarily they beg for food,for instance one of my classmate got a scholarship nd needed money to get passport,we are friends nd i know she's genuine you think i wouldn't help her? There are some monikers these scammers target because they believe they nice and gat soft heart! Even if you want to help someone online make sure you verify thoroughly because some can be smart to provide fake evidence!

To avoid stories that touch the heart just avoid helping people online! But if you have a soft heart you can but don't be disappointed if it's not real

The internet connects us all and sometimes we don't have to know a person in-order to understand their difficulties and try to help,same as we do with people we see on the streets too.

It is unfortunate that fraud is the order of the day.

I have learned my lesson and will NEVER make this mistake again.

If you still wanna help people online just give out without thinking this person is genuine or not so it wouldn't hurt much!!

This person might be heal but i think he believes some are gullible to fall for his manipulative ass hence why he keeps on using the same illness to cash out because he knows there are people that will still fall!!

I got emails from the said moniker too. I didn't bother to read or reply them.

I don't want to criticize anyone who is kind enough to help but I struggle to understand why people would help anyone they only know from a forum whose identity and true situation they don't know. Aren't there enough people/organizations you can support offline where you can be sure that your money will be used in a way you intended it to be used?

Dear it baffles me also, there are people around you that needs help but they will still come online to help people that aren't genuine nd later they realized its scam. There are child beggars on the street that i will rather cook for nd see them smile. Most of these people aren't genuine!!
With all these stories some people will still send another scammer money tomorrow!!

How do they even get these scam messages if they don't accept the pm? There is a neighbor that needs help around you, your distance family aren't left out! Why helping anonymous people online that aren't sure they are genuine?

over 80% of Nigerians abroad are hustling with visit papers. in UK, USA and everywhere. using other peoples details, fake passport -( was called Dagbo while I was in the uk( some employers don't verify especially menial jobs). Buying and selling e.g importation from abroad. Doing cash jobs or arrangee with business owners. you never see something. Nigerians use conference and visit visa a lot and japa. they still find way to work
