OJtOp2: Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has defended young striker Kelechi Iheanacho. Pellegrini denied teenage striker Kelechi Iheanacho has problems with his team-mates. TV pundit Thierry Henry said it was “weird” that City’s other players didn’t celebrate with Iheanacho after he scored against Spurs. Pellegrini said: “Kelechi is a young player and he has a very good relationship with all his team-mates. They know what he can give to our team. “I will use Kelechi if he is the one I think will make a difference. It is the same for all the players.”
na so messi take start, one day he will make us more proud of him

alexistaiwo: I think it is high time we started paying closer attention to the fact that Man City players are in the habit of snubbing Ihenancho whenever he scores unlike their habitual mobbing of other goalscorers. Even Arsenal Legend, Thierry Henry once made a comment about this same issue what do you think?

Here’s what he shared – *** [b]I got off the phone with @tiwasavage last night and I felt deflated. I went to bed immediately after, but sleep was far from me. I tossed and turned all night without successfully getting one wink of sleep. The 45 minutes I spoke to her haunted me, and our conversation replayed itself over and over again. She was so polite, a well brought up Yoruba lady who was visibly hurt, but not for once was she rude to me. Our conversation was mostly in Yoruba and I couldn’t help but notice that despite the fact that she wasn’t happy with my previous post, she still addressed me with the ‘e’ the Yoruba tribe employ, when speaking to older people. Her tone was calm and she passed her message across to me with the utmost courtesy, showcasing her pristine upbringing.
I sensed pain in her voice and it was that pain that kept me up. Tiwa is a good woman, a strong woman. I could see that she still cared about TJ when she asked if I had spoken to him. I’m going to be 40 in a few days, and if there is anything I give myself credit for, it’s the fact that I am a good judge of character. What I felt when speaking to her was genuine. I wanted to slap myself for being bit insensitive in my last post but, I guess it’s too late for regrets now, it’s gone along with her interview and his posts, into the unforgiving archives of the Internet, never to be forgotten.
As I started my drive towards @coolfmlagos this morning to preach on the gospel show #PraiseJam where I will be speaking till 11am, it occurred to me that we all have to stop blaming either party and focus on praying for both of them. T billz and Tiwa are both at a fragile state, and it is so unfortunate that this matter has been brought before a fanged public ready to tear us all up for their amusement. Like @official2baba said, don’t make jokes about a serious matter, instead, remember them in your prayers.
Tiwa Salvage says she will always allow her estranged husband to have access to their son. As a Yoruba woman, she is totally in the wrong here. This is more so because the Yoruba people have three phases of marriage: the Introduction, the Engagement and the Registry, Church or Mosque Ceremony.
The most significant of the three stages is the engagement proper which is often conducted under the Yoruba Cutomary Marriage Act. The Act states that the children of the union between a husband and a wife belong to the father and if the father dies, the children belong to his immediate family. Tiwa's husband has all the rights over their child, according to the Yoruba culture and tradition, which are laws in Yorubaland.
However, this tradition is not the same as those of the White in America or the English from the United Kingdom, where more often than not it is the wife who has the custody of the children. In Yorubaland, it is the father who has the custody. Tiwa, therefore has no right whatsoever over the child of her union with the husband. She is in Lagos, Yorubaland and not in New York or London. I have done this post to educate the gullible Yoruba Youth who may have watched Tiwa's video. On reflection, I am, however disturbed on the mores and mishaps that increasingly afflict love and marriage among young Yorubas.
Our society expects us all to get married. With only rare exceptions, we all do just that. Getting married is a rather complicated business. It involves mastering certain complex hustling and courtship games, the rituals and the ceremonies that celebrate the act of marriage, and finally the difficult requirements of domestic life with a husband or wife. It is an enormously elaborate round of activities, much more so than finding a job, and yet while many resolutely remain unemployed, few remain unmarried.
Now all this would not be particularly remarkable if there were no question about the advantages, the joys, and the rewards of married life, but most Yoruba, even young Yoruba, know or have heard that marriage is a hazardous affair. Of course, for all the increase in divorce, there are still young marriages that work, unions made by young men and women intelligent or fortunate enough to find the kind of mates they want, who know that they want children and how to love them when they come, or who find the artful blend between giving and receiving.
It is not these marriages that concern us here, and that is not the trend in Yoruba today. We are concerned with the increasing number of others who, with mixed intentions and varied illusions, grope or fling themselves into marital disaster. They talk solemnly and sincerely about working to make their marriage succeed, but they are very aware of the countless marriages they have seen fail. But young people in particular do not seem to be able to relate the awesome divorce statistics to the probability of failure of their own marriage. And they rush into it, in increasing numbers, without any clear idea of the reality that underlies the myth. I can only hope Tiwa and her husband find the grace to work things out on their own.

All this African countries are said to be ahead of Nigeria in Airforce capabilities like hardware etc, they can each fly from their capital and strike the heart of Abuja and return without any resistance from interceptor, which are said to be absolate and can't fly for an hour without refueling. Most of all this countries mentioned own 4th generation jet fighters like Su30, Su27, Mig29, F16, Saab gripen and Egypt even own the almighty Dassault Rafale. are suggesting that he should have one of the car in every state in nija?
ojuolu: Security operatives attached to the convoy of the Controller General of Prisons, Dr. Peter Ezenwa Ekpendu, on Wednesday evening allegedly assaulted a female lawmaker, Hon. Onyemeachi Mprakpor, for overtaking his convoy within the premises of the National Assembly.
The petition was brought before the House of Representatives at plenary Thursday by the Minority Leader, Hon. Leo Ogor.
Mkrakpor, representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State, was driving out of the National Assembly when she made to overtake the 20- car convoy.
“They blocked her car, and started bashing her car. When she wound down the windows, an aide slapped her in the face. The CG sat in the comfort of his car while this happened,” Ogor narrated.
Ogor’s report was corroborated by the Majority Leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, who added that Mkrakpor had called him, crying, immediately the incident happened.
The lawmakers were still deliberating on what action should be taken as at the time of filing this report.

[quote author=DonEffiong post=44773452]List of STDs and Their Symptoms
The most common types of STDs in the world includes
chlamydia,
genital warts,
genital herpes,
gonorrhoea,
hepatitis B&C,
Syphilis
HIV.
Then there are also various other STD infections of the urinary tract and the genitals which can cause annoying symptoms but are easy to cure. The sooner your infection is diagnosed, the better are your chances of getting it treated and cured.
1. Chlamydia
Chlamydia is the most common STD in the world It is also easily curable - chlamydia treatment usually consists of a single dose antibiotic. About 50% of men and 70% of women don’t have any symptoms for years (if at all). When symptoms appear, people often suffer from abnormal vaginal discharge and vaginal bleeding, discharge from the tip of the penis and pain when peeing or during sex. When left untreated, chlamydia can lead to infertility in women and men. When you’re infected with chlamydia, other STDs may also be present.
2. Gonorrhoea
Gonorrhoea is often caught alongside chlamydia. About 1 in 3 women infected with gonorrhoea also has chlamydia. The bacteria that cause gonorrhoea need to be inside the human body to survive. For this reason, you can only catch it through sexual activity (and not through contact with objects/swimming etc). The symptoms of gonorrhoea include the same irregular discharge as the one caused by chlamydia (from the vagina or penis). As with chlamydia, many infected patients won’t develop any symptoms even though the infection can cause damage to women’s reproductive system in the long run. Men, however, sometimes suffer from infections of the urinary tract and associated symptoms when infected with chlamydia: painful urination and discharge from the penis. If untreated, the bacteria can spread to the rest of the body, often infecting the skin or muscle joints. Gonorrhea treatment normally involves a course of the antibiotic cefixime.
3. Genital Herpes
Over 80% of people who are infected with genital herpes, don’t know they have the virus. Most of them will never find out - it’s quite common for patients to live a lifetime without knowing about their infection or suffering from any symptoms. However, they can pass the virus to another partner who can then develop symptoms. Asymptomatic patients tend not to use protection (condoms) every time they have sex, unlike patients who know they have herpes. Genital herpes is caused by the herpes simplex virus. The symptoms are soreness of the infected area and/or painful blisters around the genitals. Most people are able to recognise recurrent episodes due to the itching and tingling sensation in the genitals that they feel a few hours before the blisters appear. This is the best time to start an antiviral treatment , right before the virus starts producing genital herpes blisters. In general, the first herpes outbreak is the most severe one and lasts much longer than any episode that follows – up to 2-3 weeks. Over time, outbreaks of genital herpes tend to get milder.

Toks2008: Ok lets take a look at this scenario..Shade meets Tunde,a struggling dude and she remains with him, loves him and remains faithful to him and latter fortune smiles on Tunde and he becomes rich and leaves shade to start an affair with another lady...
In the world of most ladies especially of Nigeria descend,Tunde is not just a heart breaker but an ungrateful guy.
ok pause ladies, get a glass of cold water, sit on your sofa and take a chill pill then answer these questions?
1.When shade was dating the struggling tunde, was she so sure he was going to be rich one day? 2.Was Shade doing Tunde a favour by dating him in his struggling times or was it because of mutual love? 3.Is there a guaranty that if shade dates a made dude,he won't also dump her. In-fact many ladies now use these words"Of what use is loving and staying with a struggling guy when he is likely to dump you if he becomes rich? abeg i no fit suffer with any man o" Please this is not a female bashing thread but a pragmatic approach to this anomalous mindset many ladies have. Now get this straight and tell your friends to tell their friends this fact.
"If you want to stay with a man please do regardless of his status and if you have a struggling guy as a bae and you see another made man you desire please dump his ass and go your way" You are not doing any struggling guy a favor by dating him and you are never compelled to stay with a struggling guy...every affair is a risk
And please get this guy's code straight from me....That you suffer with a guy in his trying times may earn you his respect, undying love and most likely earn you a ring but will not always earn you his 100% sexual faithfulness and this in most cases is what many ladies term as ungratefulness which is not only funny but awkward.
emusmith: Guys Are The Major Reason Most Ladies Are Still Single.
Don't tell me something else because I've had my share and chances and most I blew. I'm not proud saying these but as a note of warning to all other guys who derive pleasure casting blames on the female folks.
Back then in college, I knew of a Lady-friend who called me one night and said, "Smith, I'm about to say Yes to a guy"...waiting for me to say something, "life" got a solid grip on me as I sheepishly let her go. I am very sure, if you're not a "big eye" or "ojukokoro", you would have had some girls around you who also want to hear you say, Ok, to their green lights.
It boils down to specs. There is nothing absurd if a girl doesn't like you. You are simply not her spec. Chin up and look elsewhere. There are some girls that you can't date too because they don't get to you. It's nature. Guys Are The Reason Most Girls Are Single? How?
- Most Guys Are Greedy.
Get this right, your lady can't have the complete package. She can be pretty, with big ups and back but lack culinary skills. Some men can teach her and all will return to normalcy. Don't be greedy. No lady is an angel. Atinuke who is not so pretty and not busty, but well behaved/mannered, speaks well, intelligent and Godfearing is after your signature but the lustful part of you wants Samantha who is just the opposite. She is a player. She plays you and you call girls "how". C'mon!
- Most Guys Are Scared Of The Responsibility Marriage Brings.
Say the truth, "you just want a girl for "dating" and not for a "serious relationship". An average normal lady wants a serious relationship by the time she is heading for Year 3. That's when most guys wants to flex and test. There are many "good girls" around who won't give in to sex from unserious guys so they've resorted to "self-servicing". "Mr Right" is still busy counting how many girls he has slept with. SMH!
- Most Guys Are Insensitive
By being sensitive, I mean in being there for your woman all the time, without her asking. It can also be termed, "maturity". Money and diamond is not all a lady needs. Can I tell you now? It's in one word, CARE. She may scream "money"! After giving her the money, she'll scream, "You don't even care". Place "Care" before money and Love is born.
- Most Guys Are Still Broke!
I would not allow my sister marry a broke man! A broke man is not the man that earns 40-70k. It's a man who lacks money sense. It's a man who lacks confidence of the future. A guy should know how to use the salary he is receiving to better his life, his investments and others around him. If you smell broke, you are broke. If you are broke, no sensible girl should marry you. Take note: a jobless guy now, might not be broke.
- Most Guys Are Indecisive
Nothing puts a girl off like indecision. You have to be sure it's her you want in your life, her faults notwithstanding. You can't keep saying Yes, No, Yes, No...Time is of the essence.
PS: Everyone quickly blames a 30+ lady who is still single for messing up while she was younger. They wouldn't do if they had an elder sis or aunt in such predicament. GUYS ARE THE REASON LADIES ARE STILL SINGLE. You can date any girl you want to, if you know what price you are ready to pay. If you feel you can't maintain the relationship, don't go into it. You ask out a girl whose cream is half your salary and she (out of consideration) tells you No. Don't call her names. She just saved you. She's not your spec. Meanwhile, if she likes you land shows you that, then, you are confident that both of you can be responsible for the mobility of the relationship. Cut your coat according to your cloth: if you do, you will see you'll that you've been the one keeping ladies single.
this guy needs help, he is @ gun point & that's why he is wrighting such topic.no one make sense at all. Pls come my area make i show you man were give his wife attention
Toks2008: I honestly can't shake the pity off my mind anytime i see how many ladies wallow in frustration simply because they are still single at very marriageable ages and this is why i decide to drop this thought provoking piece.
The major reason many ladies are still single at very ripe age is HIGH EXPECTATION and below is a simple illustration to explain my point.
As a lady please get this straight;Good potential husbands are everywhere but your spec may not be readily available. An average Nigerian lady wants a cute, rich, caring guy and no matter how hard they try to shrug this off, they keep using this as a yardstick to be with a man but unfortunately 2 out of 10 guys are the specs of 8 out of every 10 ladies so these 8 ladies clamor to be with these 2 men but unfortunately these 2 guys can't marry more than a wife each.
My advice to many ladies is to understand that it is perfectly normal to seek for a "financially ok" guy to marry but no matter how hot you may be, it is easier to get a man to marry you when he is struggling than when he is made.Comfort, wealth and good life is not usually instantaneous but progressive.
Don't be fooled, many expensive wedding ceremony you see are sponsored by the bride or groom's family. As a lady, try your best to get something doing and lets just assume you meet a guy that makes as little as 40k a month and you also make like 40k a month, please start a life together and continue to build your lives together. You can always do an elaborate intro and engagement party and proceed to the registry and when you have money you can do a very big wedding ceremony.
This thread is not for the few ladies who are fortunate to find a rich dude but for countless number of Nigerian ladies who are on the other side of the divide. Our ladies should Stop indulging in ultimate search contest with many other ladies for a rich guy and Until our ladies learn to look in the right direction,be financially independent, lower their expectation and be ready to build a life with a man without the negative preemptive mindset of what will happen after he becomes rich,i guess there will forever be an increase in aver-aged unmarried ladies.
Just trying to make sense.
well said. Some of the reason is that most ladies don't know that Guy's naturally want peace after a hard day job & a million of things in his mind. Even when dating if he didn't find that Peace from you he may ran away.
My dad is late next week will make it a year for his remembrance. I had the.dream three days ago. I saw my late dad blind in the dream and i was asking what happened to his eyes i wasn't Happy in that dream then i woke up. Pls what Is the meaning of this dream
Late yesterday after explaining my ordeal to a friend, another nairalander(chiboy11), he encouraged me to open a thread on NL , with regards to my stolen car, I heeded to his advice, although a little bit skeptical.
The car was delivered to me on easter Sunday and as a beginner, I sought advice from people that were experienced, on the necessary things I need to put in place.
Security, tracker, writing the number on the body parts and comprehensive insurance were what I was advised to do, to which I obliged, hoping to do all before the month runs out, being that I was also adviced to be careful not to engage criminals in any of the activities. Also because of my work schedule, making out time was hard.
For the 8 days I used the car before it was stolen, I didn't drive the car up to 10hours, as I don't go to work with it, but used it mostly at night to drop my baby at her working place, she's a nurse.
It was after dropping her off that four masked guys attacked me and took the car away around 8:04pm.
After the incidence, I started suspecting everybody around me, believing that they have noticed my daily routine. Meanwhile , on Sunday , being a believer and lover of God, I dedicated the car in my church, where my pastor and all the church members gathered, anointed and.prayed for the car. My Pastor was so crazy when I called him that my car was snatched, a day after he prayed for it....Devil is a big liar..
Immediately my car was stolen, I ran back to my babys working place, used her phone to call PH police emergency number, went to the nearest police station to inform them and called my pastor and some other people to inform them.
My BP have already risen, confusion up n down, but somehow I managed not to go insane.
You would have done this and that is what I kept hearing, I even blamed my self enough, but being a believer, I know deep down that God is aware of everything that is happening.
At the station while making statement, another person came and reported that the same group took his car, he described the car they came with, which matched my cars descritption. His own car, Lexus RX 350, has tracker and security, but before 20mins they disconnected everything at Obigbo, which was the last place the car was tracked.
To cut the long story short, I can't count the number of people that kept praying and encouraging me. Even after posting it on NL, more people joined, calling and praying, bringing suggestions, a guy even called me all the way from UK, just to encourage me.
RECOVERY
So today, while in the office, my relation called me that he saw a car that looks exactly like mine, at a place not too far from my house, I left everything I was doing and went there, lo n behold, they have changed the tyre and rim, replaced the plate number, removed all the logo and stickers on it, but somehow forgot to remove the auto reg sticker at the down part of the windscreen. I wanted to run, the feeling of gun pointing at me came back, I don't know what to do, called my pastor and my boss. Some area boys said the car was packed there since yesterdays night, that I should not call police as they will help me to catch the thieves. I told them capital NO, my interest was my car, called the police. To my surprise, police wasn't interested in getting who packed the car, after wasting almost 1hour to get there.
I towed towed the car to Mile one police station , made necessary documentations, before twoing it again to the station where I first reported it.
LESSONS
1, Our security is in Gods hands
2, Ensure that every necessary thing with regards to your car security is done, it will help to reduce the blame, not necessarily the rsik of being stolen.
3, Associate yourself with people that knows God, at a time like this, they might be more helpful than anything
4, Please if you are in PH, don't go out once its dark, the town is completely porous and unsecured
5, Please never in your life steal or cheat anybody. The trauma is not worth experiencing .
Special appreciation to chiboy11 and all the people that called me, gave suggestions , gave me their pastors numbers and prayed for me.
Whoever that did this, I have forgiven you.
The people that tried to siphon money from me, not minding the pain I was already passing through , like the guy that called from Ikorodu, for me to send card cos he has seen the car, kindly kneel down and plead for Gods forgiveness.
This is my night of praise, this is my testimony: a car with no security or tracker, that is hot cake, stolen at gun point, was recovered after four days. Devil you can your life, lying liar.
Lalasticlala, thanks for moving the other one to FP, pls do it again.
just as i said yesterday, you will surely find it,but hv you fixed the tracker? If not you are taking the grace of God for granted. Congrat & may God always protect us as we depend on him always "Amen"
