Fubara paints a picture of a calm and nice personna but I see him for what he is. He's a snake and a hypocrite. A level 12 cicil servant who already had a house in London before he became governor and yet wants to paint a picture of a Saint.

My prayer, though wishful, is for Amaechi to make a return in Rivers politics via any of his protégé.

So you are smart enough to know amaechi was or is the best option for Rivers state yet you dey here dey misyarn since. With what wike did to amaechi, should any right thinking person be supporting wike especially when Wike cannot lace Amaechis boots as regards performance?

Let jumbo and co present those documentary evidence.the court will prefer the original clear copy rather than a copy and it must be shown clearly that the speaker read it on the floor.continually emphasizing in video evidence will lead nowhere.


Again,the actual person that has locus to sue for defection is pdp national.
The supreme court in Kano matter clearly said only a party can tell who it's members are.abd that party membership and cards are primary evidences of membership.

You asked for evidence of them reading their letters on the floor of house and I tendered it to you in that video.

The defection letter he read out in that video is everywhere. I can post it for you here, though not very clear since its a scanned copy. OKO jumbo lawyers should have a copy. That is documentary evidence.

The affidavit is documentary evidence. What else? Like someone said earlier, no party gives you a defection card, what they do is remove your name from the register but those are all later processes. Amaehwule and co fulfilled the early requirements for defection.

Why are you so dense? Is a sworn affidavit of defection not a document? And a very powerful one at that. Why do you swear to an affidavit when you lose important documents and certificates? An affidavit is a VERY POWERFUL DOCUMENT OGA!

Those 27 lawmakers took the necessary steps to defect at the time because they thought it would buy them favour with Tinubu. If there was a benefit to be gotten as APC members, these same lawmakers will tender that same affidavit they swore to ON OATH as evidence of APC membership.

Now remember, proving they left PDP is different from proving they joined APC . APC can claim they are not their members but it behoves on oko jumbo lawyer to prove they HAVE LEFT THE PDP.

If successfully proven they've left the PDP but its proven they haven't yet joined the APC, then they are party less.

Now, do they have support from PDP saying they never defected? Yes! That's where they have a case in which case I expect oko jumbos lawyer to prove they lied on OATH by swearing to am affidavit of defection when they haven't defected.

He asked you wether you know what a sworn affidavit is and you are beating around the Bush.. those 27 lawmakers read out their defection letters ON THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE ! That alone is more than sufficient if admitted in court. To make matters worse they swore to an affidavit at the FHC . That's why they abandoned the omotosho case.

That affidavit is enough to nail them by an incorruptible judge.

Most people who defect, do it on the floor of the house first. Party register and party card issuance all came later. They are not the first action in the process. Please go and check what the procedures are for a defection.

Those 27 lawmakers are done for if their case is handled by an incorruptible judiciary but na naija we dey. 🚶🏾‍♂️🚶🏾‍♂️🚶🏾‍♂️

It would be a waste of court process to do such as it stands now. The FG will not be sending forth LG funds to States having CTC in place. They all will have to conduct proper elections.

Amaehwule and 26 others are reinstated, then those former LGAC chairman will be reinstated pending when the governor truly intends to do the election and if the Court in Abuja goes in favour of the Attorney General/FG for LG autonomy and preventing States Electoral body not conducting elections then INEC will be funded to do such days by the FG.

How is that possible? A court has said that the elongation law is hereby squashed. What is difficult to understand. If the lawmakers come back, that law IS NOT COMING BACK WITH THEM.

As for the legality of the CTC, you can as well challenge that in court.

go and look at those appeals being heard. Some are between the LG Chairmen and the State Government. They are appealing against the settings aside of the LG amendment law that was passed by the HOA.

Enyiada Cookey-gam and ors sued the Governor asking the court to order him not to obey any law amended or repealed by the former speaker Martin Amaewhule, one of those laws is the imaginary tenure enlogation.

It’s baffling where some of these “data boys” are getting their information about court rulings because the appeal case is far from over.

As of today, Martin Amaewhule's lawyer, Ken Njemanze SAN, withdrew the second prayer of one of his applications. He then requested permission from the court to file a new application tomorrow, Friday, June 21, 2024.

Sammie Somiari SAN, the counsel for the 1st Respondent (RT. Comr Victor Oko Jumbo), insisted that if Amaewhule's lawyer is allowed to file a new application tomorrow, the court must also give him time to respond.

The appeal case still has a long way to go, but these leaders won’t tell their “data boys” the truth. Instead, they deceive them with lies, claiming the court will rule tomorrow.

This shows why being in the opposition isn’t an easy game at all.

Story for the Gods! Justice Kio ruled the tenure elongation law UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Those LG chairmen are gone! That's one structure down.

Even if the 27 lawmakers come back and cancel out the appointment of the CTC, the best they can do is push for the governor to conduct LG elections but as per elongating the tenure of these chairmen.. impossible!!

Let me repeat it. The local govt chairmen are gone! Even if the courts reinstate the 27 lawmakers, there was NO LAW allowing extension of their tenures as at 18th of June.

Their lawyer should be able to explain to them.

The police legal team should also advise the IGP about status quo and what it really means. Enough of all this impunity!
