As for Babcock, Madonna and Caritas it's a big lie. Those schools would never admit without JAMB. Go and check again and come tell me.

You're right....but here at Babcock, the jamb score doesn't matter...especially for less competitive course OR high School fees Course ......with 100+ you can enter...... but those admission officers will be scaring Parents/Guarantor so that they can bribe them.....
Although, I saw a lot of candidates last year with 250 to 275+ in utme.

my conclusion is that.. They only need jamb because of NYSC

If you had good grades but didn't get admission, that means you probably caused it. Let me tell you how.

1. Do you have have a JAMB number against the admission you gained on your ND, NCE, IJMB or whatever program you did?. If no, did you do JAMB regularisation? Waited for the JAMB number or applied under "other diploma"?.

2. Did you upload your scanned school certificate and OL result while registering or you applied under "awaiting result"?.

Answer my questions and we shall discuss further.

my lil bro was in same shoe with the OP..... but he used "other diploma" while registering....he had Distinction in one Engineering Course..... And I guess his O level were Ok and not Awaiting....

Could, other diploma be the problem? because he didn't do an regularization

Foreign Affairs / Vladimir Putin Elected Fourth Term As Russia Leader by Pharaoh001(f): 7:23pm On Mar 18, 2018
BREAKING: Putin Elected Fourth Term As Russia President

Vladimir Putin has been re-elected for the fourth term as the President of Russia

Putin on Sunday won fourth Kremlin term with 73.9 percent of the vote.

He is expected to lead Russia for another six years.

Vladimir Putin was earlier projected to win the Russian presidential election with 73.9 percent of the vote, to secure a fourth Kremlin term, according to an exit poll by state-owned pollster VTsIOM.

The exit poll from 1,200 polling stations around Russia gave second place to Communist candidate Pavel Grudinin with 11.2 percent. VTsIOM said in a statement that over 37 percent of those polled refused to say who they voted for.

Putin Wins As Opposition Cries Foul
Russians voted Sunday in a presidential election which hands Vladimir Putin a record fourth term, with officials reporting strong turnout but the opposition crying foul.

Putin contested against seven other candidates, but his most vocal critic Alexei Navalny was barred for legal reasons and the outcome is in little doubt.

About 107 million Russians are eligible to cast ballots and turnout was nearly 60 percent an hour before polls closed in Moscow at 1700 GMT, according to figures displayed in the central electoral commission information centre.

Authorities have pulled out all the stops to boost participation, with selfie competitions, cheap or free food and entertainers organising games for children at polling stations.

Employees of state and private companies have reported coming under pressure to vote, while students have been threatened with problems in their exams or even expulsion if they do not take part, according to the opposition-leaning Novaya Gazeta newspaper.

Unprecedented violations
Navalny, who is overseeing a campaign for a vote boycott and sent over 33,000 observers across the country with manual counters to see how official turnout figures differ from those of monitors, said there had been “unprecedented violations”.

His supporters and the non-governmental election monitor Golos reported ballot stuffing, repeat voting and Putin supporters being bussed into polling stations en masse.

One election commission worker in the Republic of Dagestan, which traditionally registers extremely high official turnout figures, told AFP around 50 men entered the station where he was working and physically assaulted an independent observer before stuffing a ballot box.

But the electoral commission dismissed most concerns, saying monitors sometimes misinterpret what they see.

Since first being elected president in 2000, Putin has stamped his total authority on the world’s biggest country, muzzling opposition, putting television under state control and reasserting Moscow’s standing abroad.

The 65-year-old former KGB officer has sought to use the campaign to emphasise Russia’s role as a major world power, boasting of its “invincible” new nuclear weapons in a pre-election speech.

Casting his ballot in Moscow, Putin said he would be pleased with any result giving him the right to continue as president.

“I am sure the programme I am offering is the right one,” said the man who is already Russia’s longest-serving leader since Stalin.

Most people who spoke to AFP said they voted for Putin, praising him for lifting the country out of the post-Soviet quagmire.

“Of course I’m for Putin, he’s a leader,” said Olga Matyunina, a 65-year-old retired economist.

“After he brought Crimea back, he became a hero to me.”

Sunday marks four years since Putin signed a treaty declaring Crimea to be part of Russia in a move that triggered a pro-Kremlin insurgency in east Ukraine, a conflict that has claimed over 10,000 lives.

Why vote?
Ahead of the vote, a new crisis broke out with the West as Britain implicated Putin in the poisoning of former double agent Sergei Skripal with a Soviet-designed nerve agent.

In response, London expelled 23 Russian diplomats, prompting a tit-for-tat move by Moscow. Also this week, Washington hit Russia with sanctions for trying to influence the 2016 US election.

Putin’s previous Kremlin term was marked by a crackdown on the opposition after huge protests, the Ukraine conflict, military intervention in Syria and the introduction of Western sanctions that contributed to a fall in living standards.

But he seems certain to extend his rule to 2024 despite a lacklustre campaign and a litany of domestic problems such as widespread poverty and poor healthcare.

State-run pollsters predict Putin will take about 70 percent of the vote, with the independent Levada Centre — branded a “foreign agent” — barred from releasing any polls.

“I will not go to vote. What for?” Boris Limarev, a 39-year-old manager, said as he walked his dog near a polling station in Saint Petersburg.

“It’s clear to everyone who will be elected.”

“And the rest of the candidates are clowns,” interjected his wife Anna, 35.

“Another six years of slavery,” said a piece of paper made up to look like a ballot which was spotted on a Moscow street — in an apparent reference to Putin’s next term.

Putin’s Kremlin-approved challengers include millionaire communist Pavel Grudinin and former reality TV host Ksenia Sobchak, but none was expected to win more than seven percent.

Election officials flew to far-flung regions to collect votes from indigenous herders, while cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov — the only Russian currently aboard the International Space Station — cast his ballot by proxy.

With the vast country stretching across 11 time zones, polls close in Kaliningrad, the exclave on the EU border, at 1800 GMT, with exit polls due shortly afterwards and official results issued through the night.

Foreign Affairs / Rex Tillerson,Africa Visits Was A Jinxed Visit With Undercover Motives by Pharaoh001(f): 1:22pm On Mar 18, 2018
REX Wayne Tillerson visited Africa this week;
it was not just a jinxed visit, but also his first
and last as the American Secretary of State.
He had proclaimed: “The purpose of my trip is
to listen to what the priorities of the
countries here on the continent are and see
where there is good alignment.” In reality, he
did most of the talking, and his visit had a
hidden agenda.

Five countries were on his itinerary; Kenya,
Chad, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Djibouti. The first
three, are plagued by terrorist attacks; Kenya
by the Somali al-Shabab group, Nigeria and
Chad by the Boko Haram group. Ethiopia is
the most active military force engaging the al-
Shabab on Somali soil while tiny Djibouti with
its one million populace is host to the largest,
permanent American Base in Africa, the Camp
Lemonnier which houses 4,000 personnel. These may be some of the reasons the five
were chosen of the 55 countries in Africa.
However, Tillerson’s consistent attacks on
China and his continuous warning of African
countries against loans and infrastructural aid
from that country, exposed the fact that the
United States does not want African countries
to be close to the Chinese. It reminds me of
the 1975 warnings by one of Tillerson’s
predecessors, Henry Kissinger that African
countries must not recognise the MPLA
Government in Angola.
Tillerson after initially warning African
countries to stay clear of Chinese aid, said at
the beginning of his tour: “We are not in any
way attempting to keep Chinese investment
dollars out of Africa. They are badly needed.
However, we think it’s important that African
countries carefully consider the terms of
those investments.”

Four days later, after a closed door meeting
with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, he
repeated the same anti-Chinese message
labelling Chinese aid as anti-African designed
to erode the sovereignty of African countries.
Although the visit was supposed to focus on
trade, counter-terrorism, security and
development, America’s obsession was
Chinese- bashing.
Africa has no basis to fight China, a country
which like 53 African countries, was a victim
of vicious Western colonialism. China unlike
Europe and America, never set out to colonise
other countries. Secondly, China, unlike
Europe and America, did not develop by
looting the resources of Africa and turning
Black people into slaves either in the
continent or the continents of Europe, North
and South America and the Caribbean. Thirdly,
it is not out of place for China to have
strategic interests in Africa; it is for African
countries to ensure that the interests of their
peoples are paramount in their dealings with
other peoples, be they American, Chinese or
Caucasian. Fourthly, it is a known fact that
even when Americans give aid, they ensure
that a lot of the money is spent in America by
way of purchasing American equipment and
vehicles, or paying their citizens who are
styled “experts.” Fifthly, it is distasteful for a
visitor to our homestead to warn us not to
entertain another visitor. A sixth point is that
Tillerson’s warnings give the impression that
Africans are children who cannot think for
themselves, and have to be told what to do,
what is in their interest and what company to
keep.

At the beginning of his African tour on
Thursday, March 8, he visited the
headquarters of the African Union, AU, in
Addis Ababa which is a $200 million gift by
the Chinese to the African people.
There he
repeated his sing-song against China, Moussa
Faki Mahamat, Chairman of the AU Commission
had responded to the American insult: “I think
Africans are mature enough to engage in
partnerships of their own volition.”

Ethiopia was not responsive to America’s
anti-Chinese tirade. The Chinese had built
neigbourhoods in that country free apart from
their constructing a $475 million modern
railway. Also, Chinese investments in Ethiopia
in recent years, are $3.5 billion more than
those of America.

Tillerson’s next stop was in Djibouti where the
Chinese last August, built its first foreign
military base in the world. Apart from sharing
the soil of Djibouti with the Chinese military,
the Americans are jittery that China had built
the port with an outstanding $1.2 billion loan
repayable by Djibouti. This they fear, may give
the Chinese an advantage. Let me state
clearly, that it is not in Africa’s interest for
any inch of our soil to be given out to foreign
armed forces as base be they American,
Chinese or European.

On Saturday March 10, Tillerson was in Kenya
where the Chinese had completed another
railway at the cost of $3.8 billion. By this
time, he had received a message that his
Principal, President Donald Trump had changed
his mind about not holding talks with North
Korea. On September 30, 2017, Tillerson had
contradicted Trump’s position, by saying,
America was not opposed to dialogue with
North Korea. The next day, Trump twitted: “I
told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of
State, that he is wasting his time trying to
negotiate with Little Rocket Man (President
Kim Jong-un of North Korea). Save your
energy Rex, we’ll do what has to be done!”
Then suddenly in the midst of his African tour,
Tillerson is told there was going to be
dialogue. He cancelled his programmes in
Kenya that Saturday. His office issued a
statement: “The Secretary is not feeling well
after a long couple days working on major
issues back home such as North Korea and
has cancelled his events for the day.” The
next day, he continued his visit, and on
Monday, March 12, he was in Chad, and then,
Nigeria where he was scheduled for a two-day
visit. But pronto, Tillerson was gone!
Undersecretary of State, Steve Goldstein told
the media: “Due to demands in the
Secretary’s schedule, he is returning to the
US one day early, after concluding official
meetings in Chad and Nigeria.
It is unclear what happened. But what we now
know is that while Tillerson was still trying to
get home, Trump released a twitter message:
“Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA, will
become our new Secretary of State. He will do
a fantastic job! Thank you to Rex Tillerson for
his service! Gina Haspel will become the new
Director of the CIA, and the first woman so
chosen. Congratulations to all!”
Without warning, Tillerson had lost his
coveted job. He did not even have the
opportunity to report back on his African
tour. To cap it all, Trump told the media, he
had raised the issue of his replacement with
Tillerson to which Goldstein denied:
“(Tillerson) had every intention of staying…
The Secretary did not speak to the President
and is unaware of the “reason” for his sack.
Whatever the case, Bye Bye Tillerson!
