Learnt on channels #Nigeria2015 that if election accreditations and voting has been cancelled in your PU, go back the next day for same exercise cos the iNEC act s provides for that. |
Dear Lagosians, It is with a lot of pleasure that I address you today as we set our eyes on Saturday’s elections. I think the elections will be historic and the whole world is watching and waiting, as we conduct the first of five elections that will be held in West Africa this year. I think the elections will be historic because we will set an example for the whole of Africa and show that we can decide our affairs. I know, however, that there can be no history without history makers. You, the voters, the dynamic people of the Centre of Excellence, will be the history makers. Ask yourself what you will be saying to your unborn children and grandchildren when they ask you in future where you were on the day when the Great Election that changed Nigeria, took place. I am sure that you will want to answer that question with pride, to tell them how you woke up early and walked to the polling station to cast your vote. This is one big reason why you must go out and vote and persuade members of your household and neighbourhood to vote; so that you can be a part of history. The second reason is that this election is about your life, your safety, your wellbeing, your business, your roads, your children’s safety and wellbeing, their future and that of Nigeria. As a caring father, mother, uncle or aunty, do you want someone else to decide the choices for you or will you make the choice yourself? If you make the choice for yourself and for your children and you vote for the party that has made the most impact in your life, that will be historic, it will be music to their ears, and I am sure they will thank you for standing up to prepare that bright future for them. Please know that what you choose to do on Saturday will decide whether Nigeria changes or remains the same over the next four years. So I urge you to come out and vote. I know that an overwhelming majority of us want peaceful, transparent, credible and violence-free elections. But as we wish for very successful elections, we must know that wishes alone will not take us there. We must take action to realise our wishes. We must go out to vote and make the change we want. As long as we remain peaceful and law abiding, our numbers will be enough to send the strongest and clearest message of our desire for peace to those who do not wish us well. I expect the security personnel to act professionally............................................................................................ Some one called in with the news and I immediately called 767 because the place is not far from my office in Lekki and a cute voice answered with the response that the fire service will be there soon as some firefighters have been deployed there. #team_efficiency ![]() http://fagbemiolugbenga..com/2015/03/fire-on-mountain-as-ascon-filling.html |

Relatives, friends and teachers of Sarah Ibikunke, the 15-year-old basic three pupil, who was shot dead by a gang of robbers in the Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State, gathered on Monday to give her their last respect. Sympathisers spoke glowingly about the teenager, who had longed to become a lawyer, as she was laid to rest at the Ikoyi Cemetery. The bandits, said to be in military uniforms, had on March 12 laid siege to a branch of First Monument Bank Limited on Admiralty Way, firing guns indiscriminately. In the process, three cops among a police team escorting a bus belonging to an oil company were killed, while Sarah, who was hawking fish around the area, was hit by stray bullets. PUNCH Metro had also reported that the management of a mortuary in Yaba, where the girl’s corpse was deposited, requested a sum of N100,000 for the embalm and burial arrangements of the victim. Sarah [/media-credit] Sarah However, the management rescinded its decision on Monday and released the remains for burial at the cemetery without collecting any fee. It was also gathered that a pastor, who did not want his name in print, had earlier donated N100,000 to the deceased’s family. Sarah’s class teacher in Itedo Primary School, Mr. Adebayo Moses, described her as a brilliant and well-behaved pupil. He said, “She was quite brilliant; not troublesome, accommodating and friendly. Her death is very painful.” The matron of the school, Mrs. Dorcas Ogundare, said Sarah’s character attracted love to her from all staff members. “The last day she was in school, she came a bit late and I joked with her that she would wash toilets. She just smiled and I told her to rush to the class. She was a child to all of us and had a bright future,” she said. The victim’s schoolmate, Inidara Friday, said he was astonished by her attitude in school on Wednesday, a day before the incident. He said, “She was gentle. She did not play around like other pupils. But that day, she played a lot with her friends. I was surprised to see her in such mood; may her soul rest in peace.” Sarah’s aunt Mrs. Omolafe, appreciated those who stood by the family while they grieved the loss of their loved one. She said, “The following day it was published that we needed N100,000 to collect Sarah’s corpse, a pastor came and gave us the money. I also thank people who have been coming to sympathise with us. This kind of incident shall not be your portion.” http://fagbemiolugbenga..com/2015/03/lagos-robbery-sarah-ibikunle-buried-in.html

Luck ran out on a suspected car snatcher in Lagos, Emmanuel Chukwunonso, who was arrested by the police after the stolen vehicle had a fault. It learnt that Chukwunonso was nabbed by the Maroko Police Division in the Lekki area of Lagos after he and another gang member, identified simply as Chima, allegedly snatched a Honda Accord. It was gathered that Chima, however, was still at large. According to the police, the two suspects snatched the vehicle marked, EK804LSD, at gunpoint but the vehicle had a gear problem not far from the robbery scene. The Punch correspondent learnt that while Chima fled, Chukwunonso was caught and initially beaten by a mob before the police arrested him. Twenty-four-year-old Chukwunonso said he was formerly selling Indian hemp in Imo State before he came to Lagos. He said, “When I came to the Lekki area of Lagos, I took up work as a security man. I was paid N25,000 monthly. “After I was fired from the security work, a friend, Chima, and I decided we were going to rob and get money to solve our problems. It was on February 23 that we snatched the car. “Two ladies were inside the vehicle. We accosted them and pointed a gun at them. They both jumped out and took to their heels. It was a toy gun. “As we fled, the vehicle began to give us problems. It had a gear problem. “As I alighted, a crowd swooped on me, but Chima escaped.” Our correspondent learnt that the police were on the trail of the other suspect, while the stolen Honda Accord had been returned to its owner ─ a woman identified simply as Agonoma. The Lagos State Police Spokesperson, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, could not be reached for comment. He also had yet to respond to a text message sent to his phone. visit http://fagbemiolugbenga..com for more news |

[quote author=McLuhan post=30518883]Goodluck has my vote, not because he visited Lazarus Mouka or any other religious leader for that matter. I'll vote for him simply because the alternative is an extremely rigid, highly bigotted, sharia-promoting, violence-advocating, freedom-hating, chronically paranoid, educationally handicapped former military despot. I will only vote for Buhari if he brings back to life those youth corps members who were killed in 2011 after he called for the blood of "monkeys and baboons" to be spilt. I will vote for Buhari when he resurrects the young men whom he executed during his military rule on the basis of a retroactive decree. I will vote for Buhari after he personally begs for and obtains forgiveness from every Christian following his infamous vow to continue the agitation for the full implementation of sharia in Nigeria. Otherwise I can never and will NEVER vote for Buhari.[/quote, IN UR VERY OWN OPINION!, this doesnt change whom I have made up my mind to vote for!. Lemme ask you, where is that forgiveness you r taught in sunday school? |
#400k, what do I have to change/repair? |
