Good day everyone, silent reader grin
Interview 22/8
Denied 29/7
Visa approved on 22/8
Visa issued on 23/8.

Deferred admission to Spring 2020 cause at the time of reapplication, there wasn’t a date in August.
No standardized test(school/course didn’t require one) or English proficiency (was waived by the school) exams taken
Window 10, Abuja US Embassy

V.o : Good morning
Me: good morning

Vo: so what’s the purpose of your trip
Me: going for my MPA at UIS(in full though)

Vo: oh forgive me, I have your i20 I dunno why I asked
Me: smiles*, that’s okay

Vo: I see your resumption is in January
Me: Yes (I wanted to explain why I had to defer and reschedule to this month but I didn’t)

Vo: so what’s your highest degree
Me: A B.L (Barrister at Law)

Vo: when was it obtained and where
Me: told him.

Vo: so how many school did you apply to
Me: 3

Vo: how many admits
Me: 2

Vo: which
Me: UIS and AU

Vo: so why this school
Me: Well My 3 top reasons for picking UIS over AU, one, the school is situate at the state capital which is the hub of policy making for the state of Illinois, which brings me to my second reason, there is a program called the Illinois legislative staff internship program which would allow me...(cuts in)

Vo: smiles* I think I understand already. So tell me, you’ve read law, why MPA now?
Me: uhmm, from my undergraduate studies till now that I am in practice, I have come to realize that it is not just enough to make or interpret laws/policies, one major problem of this process is implementation! legal skills alone are barely adequate to help solve such contemporary problem. They are so many laws/policies that are being made everyday but never implemented, for example, the national minimum wage Act which was passed into law months ago, is yet to be implemented.
(I paused to be sure he was paying me attention)

Vo: (looks at me and signaled that I carry on)
Me: A degree in MPA would help me conceptualize and interpret both existing and future laws as well as it’s implementation in accordance to risk and uncertainty. Also to help examine to what extent in devising and executing a policy affects the overall shape and impact of such policy on the categories of persons it is made for or the citizens as a whole. This is important because at the end of my program I’d like to work with the National Institute of Legislative studies, an organ of the NA, they provide the same service that the Congressional research service provides the US Congress and ...(cuts in)

Vo: smiles* I think that’s fine. How many siblings do you have? What does your older sibling do?
Me: I have 2 sisters and I am actually the first

Vo: Okay, so where does your dad work? He is sponsoring you, right?
Me: No, he is not. My uncle is.

Vo: what does he do?
Me: he is a legal practitioner and also a SAN(in full)
Vo: where does he live?
Me: ***Abuja

Vo: Okay, can I see his bank statement?
Me: yes, sure (hands it over)

Vo: (types for 5mins or less) so I’ll be giving you a conditional approval, this is because we need to verify the authenticity of the bank statement. If it is found to be fraudulent, you’d be banned from the US for life. Do you want me to go ahead?
Me: yes sure.
Vo: (hands me the white paper and a white slip) congratulations....I can’t remember exactly what he said after that.

Thank you to everyone who contributes to the platform by dropping their transcripts, helping to answer questions, to help others with proposed transcripts, encouraging others etc, God bless you.
Sharwama, LagosismyHome, Time2win, Brown2Green I remember these names because I always look forward to reading their inputs and very detailed responses. God bless you all. God did it!

That's awesome. You GRE scores are good too. I'm just trying to understand what type o scholarships are actually present for Indian students. Do you have any idea about that. I just came to know from a scholarship blog that there are 3 types like Fellowship, Teaching A., Research A. Are there any other types of scholarships.
(1) He should have known his duties as a GTA

(2) His first few words in response must be salient.
Thank you

Good Morning,
I was wondering if one can go to the embassy with an SOA that ended in June for an interview in August. The SOA is from June last year to this year. Thanks.
Yes you can
Mine ended in March and my interview was August 8th but be prepared to answer questions about it when asked why it ended in June.

Mine answer basically was - that was what I presented during my admission process and wouldn't want to create any form of suspicion if I use an updated one.

This is silly. How does a diploma in American culture help you get a job as an administrative assistant in Nigeria where >50% of youths are essentially jobless? You think you're going to convince anyone with that obvious lie?
Lol at Twoods. *not just >50% of youths..
>50% of university educated youths

ybahrbz91:
How do you plan going about it?
Do you mean the school official is not entitled to giving an extension after a genuine reason is presented?
(1) School officials can issue extension letters as much as possible BUT the underlying factor is the acceptance at the POE.

(2) Giving an excuse that the embassy is responsible for the delay of visas don't really work cos they place priority on the security of their country before other things. Cos they believe that late arrival may result in late registration amongst other things and subsequently may lead to F1 status fallout.

Good morning, Amen and same to you.
School is giving me an extension to resume at a later date because they know what's happening here. I have a paper I'm taking to the interview.
Reminder... Any school don't have authority again after issuing a program start date on your I20 cos it would have been registered on the USCIS website... Hence guiding against the risk of sending back from the port of entry. I AM PRESENTLY IN THE SAME SHOE.

So, what are the flaws in the transcript
Inbox me my fellow huskiete
Lagosismyhome has pointed out something important as well, so brace up your confidence for the interview and go get the visa for me.

Note.. Do you have any relative in the US ? What did you fill in your ds160?
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Pharmz(m): 10:09am On Aug 14, 2019
Flaame:
Good morning everyone. I have my interview tomorrow and would want to post my transcript once again. Please help pick out flaws.
Vo: Good morning, passport and I20
Me: Passed them
Vo: You were here sometime last year, why were you denied
Me: I was denied because I couldn't clearly express my purpose of traveling to the visa officer due to the fact I was nervous
Vo: So what has changed since the last time you were here?
Me: I feel a lot more confident than the last time
Vo: So where are you going?
Me: Am going to St Cloud State University for my undergraduate degree study in computer engineering.
Vo: how many schools did you apply to?
Me: 3 schools, 3 admits (name them)
Vo: So why this school?
Me: Apart from the fact that I was given a generous scholarship by this school, Ichose this wonderful school because of all the schools I applied to, it's the only school that uses a D2L system, a system where professors can create web based course sites to enhance course experiences. This D2L system gives students the access to course materials like assignment folders, quizzes and surveys, course materials, and many more through their laptops, smartphones, and tablets. I also chose this school because of the level of interaction between students, their professors, and faculty members. On top of all these features,St. Cloud State University offers so much value at a very moderate rate.
Vo: Why this course?
Me: A degree in this course will give me practical and professional paraphernalia to secure an employment in top ranked technical innovative firms in Nigeria like Angela, Flutterwave, MasterCard,Glo,Jumia, etc. Besides, this,I have an optional lecturing job offer from a very close family friend who is the minister for education in my state upon graduation to work in either of two universities. With a degree and knowledge of this course, I will perfectly fit in the role(this is true please).
Vo: What are some of your undergraduate courses?
Me: General Engineering 101,102,Maths 222,Physics234,etc.
Vo: Tell me about your course plan?
Me: To obtain a degree in computer engineering, I need to complete 106 credits, maintain at least a minimum GPA of 2.5 to keep advancing to each level and as well graduate with a minimum GPA of 2.5 too.
Vo: When did you graduate and what have you been doing?
Me: I graduated in 2014,in September 2014,I started a year and half intensive computer lesson at BODSLINK computers . After my training, I got a part-time job as computer lab assistant. I worked there for another year and half to gain more practical skills and management strategies on Computer. In 2017,I started my college preparation.
Vo: Why did you choose to go to a U.S school?
Me: I chose to study in the United States because the U.S universities offer excellent research opportunities through several assisantship programs. U.S universities have a well designed educational system that strikes a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills. A degree and academic experience from U.S universities is highly valued especially in terms of securing employment. on top of all these, the United States is the best destination for students seeking for a tertiary education abroad, and particularly, for STEM courses.
Vo: Who is your sponsor?
Me: My uncle
Vo: Why your uncle what does he do?
Me: My uncle has been playing a very big role in my education for a very long time. He believes it'll be a good investment for me to advance in my academic, so he's very obliged to continue catering for my education regardless of the cost.
-He's a lawyer by profession but has a very large school here in Abuja, has a couple of estate business he manages, and owns two lounges here also.
Vo: What are your plans after graduation?
Me: Upon graduation in May 2023,I'll come back to Nigeria for my compulsory NYSC program, afterwards, I'll seek for employment in top ranked technical innovative firms or a lecturing job in one of the universities in my state.

Sharwama, fairheart,Time2win,brown2green,lagosismyhome,walspring,nahum77,naughtyvirgin....please guide me here
Hi,
(1) Kindly look into what does your sponsor do ?
Note : no time to explain all he does, simply put the primary occupation and summarize the rest as being a successful business man.

(2) Tell me about your program ?

Ï hope to see you at St Cloud State University as I'm resuming next week.

Cheers

Moreover, it's a new scientific and research course that is not available in Nigeria Universities, few that are willing to offer do not have the financial capacity to purchase to purchase instruments and keep the laboratory running, hence work only based on theory is not good enough for analytical scientists. No doubt USA is the best, offers a conducive atmospheric environment to acquire skills and gain knowledge of academic research career in order to become a leader in clinical field.
