Crime / See How An 8 Year Old Boy Scammed Me Of My Lasi 1k by Pharoahhhhhh: 9:54pm On May 30, 2016
one say while coming back from school, I met a little boy of about 8 years hawking and crying by the road side, he said uncle please help me. I asked him ''what's the problem''? he said he misplaced 650 which is all the money he sold pure water and groundnut for his step mother for the day.

he said he doesn't want to go home, that if he does his step mother would beat him mercilessly and will not give him food. looking at the boy he actually looked like some one who has been crying for a long time so I really pitied him.
I checked my pocket I was having just 1300 with me. so I brought out 1k and gave him, I told him to remove some money there and buy some snacks for himself, since he looked hungry. then he should give the remaining one to his step mum. so I took a cab and went home. this happened like some months ago.

today while going to see a friend I met the same boy again crying. he couldn't recognize me again but I could recognize him well. he was also crying like that first day. he was carrying pure water on his head.

he approached me and still asked for my help saying he misplaced his step mothers money, the same thing he told me the other day.

I ask him are you not the boy I gave money the other day, I mentioned the name of the street . he could remember me now.

I still asked is it everyday that you misplaced money? the little boy wanted to run away but I held him.

I was really shocked, I asked my self where would this little boy get such idea.

he started begging me that he will not do it again. I told him to tell me the truth or ll take him to police station.

he then confess that he does that every day and collects money from people. I asked him where are his parents and he said in the house. I replied I taught you said you live with your step mum and he said he was lying.he actually stays with his mum and dad.

hmm I didn't just walk away I tried to advise him as a senior brother that what he was doing is bad and he promised he will stop. so I left. I don't know what this world is turning to.

Crime / Cameroon Ashawo Girls In Calabar Pay Corrupt Immigration Officers 5k Monthly by Pharoahhhhhh: 11:32am On May 26, 2016
how Cameroon ashawo girls in calabar pay our corrupt immigration officers 5k every month as bribe.

Cameroon ashawo girls are every where in calabar. They lorge in hotels and their customers patronize them inside their hotel rooms. They are available 24 hours. At night they stand by the road side to attract customers while in the day time their customers go straight to their hotel rooms to patronize them.

Seeing this girls anyone would know that they are not Nigerians because of the way they speak and many of them cant even speak fluent English except french.

Many people have wondered why government has not sent them back to their country since many of them sneaked in, but the shameful part is that people who are supposed to deport them back to their country are collecting bribe from them.

Corrupt immigration officers in calabar collect 5k from each of this girls as bribe every month and are giving our country Nigeria a bad name.

How did i know this? I work as a receptionist in an hotel located along marian road calabar(i wont mention the name of the hotel)

this girls make alot of money because guys prefer them to calabar girls, so paying the immigration officers just 5k is not hard for them to pay.

This officers come there everymonth to collect the money and so since we the staff of the hotel are close to them they tell us everything. This has been going on for a long time.

Seeing how this men make money from them some of them decided not to pay the money again. When they officers come they run into hiding. It continued for a while so this made the immigration officers very furious. One day they came to our hotel in their vehicles. They surrounded the whole place, then some came inside.

They pretended as if that was the first time they came there. They told us they got information that we habor foreigners in our hotel and that if we dont produce the girls they will arrest all of us.

I told them am only doing my work and i dont know anything about that but they should wait for the manager before checking the rooms. One even slapped me for saying that.

They gave an oder that no one should make/receive any phone call then went in and arrested all the girls. They even wanted to arrest us too but our manager begged them so they released us.

I heard them saying that they are sending all of them back to cameroon that same week, so they drove off with they girls. In my mind i was like ''na now una one come do una work''?

after that day i didnt expect to see any of they girls again but i was really suprised that they still released them after 3days and am so sure the girls paid lots of money as bail.

The girls still came back to stay in that same hotel but my manager didnt allow them. They had to check in into another hotel and continue their business. You need to see the way the girls talk about Nigerians. They believe we are all corrupt. One of them even said no cameroon officer will do what our immigration officers are doing.

This men are really giving us a bad name.
Romance / Re: My Advise To Some Nigerian Ladies who are so desperate to marry rich guys by Pharoahhhhhh: 4:05pm On May 24, 2016
MRBrownJ:

in the African family setup, can you be poor and get married? and is the reason for such because of women's GD tendencies or because thats the way marriage in Africa is set up?

women are born and bred to be auctioned off to the highest bidder, and the bride price is a confirmation of that. young girls are brainwashed that this is their duty, and thats what a man must do before he can marry them. in Africa, your house/car/job etc represents how "strong" a man you are, your power in the ranking of eligible bachelor. you cant blame women who are seeking for such men in their desperation to get married, as the bride price alone will run into a few salaries. you must instead blame the AFRICAN FAMILY SETUP which dictates that a man must be financially able if he wants to get married, as it aint cheap to marry in Africa. money talks and love/other BS walks.

furthermore, that same AFRICAN FAMILY SETUP values the cooking/cleaning and child bearing abilities of a woman, rather than her financial stability. so, having kids is the obvious route to validate (to both families) that the union is sound..... the majority of newlyweds certainly aint making plans for anything other that starting a family.
we have many african women who are independent, so i dont really understand your point
