According to Dante's Inferno, there are nine circles of Hell. What is surprising about the ninth circle is that, unlike the other rings of Hell, fire doesn't burn there. The inhabitants are buried deep within a frozen lake. It is reserved for the cruellest, the most sadistic and bestial beings ever to walk the earth. It is here that Lucifer resides along with Cain, Anthenor of Troy, Ptolemy and Judas Iscariot. AND IT IS TO THIS PART OF HELL THAT YOU BELONG. Not even Lucifer would have been so unkind. May Sànpònná visit you, he shall be your companion.

Brother, you nearly mar your highly articulated and beautifully written post with faulty generalisation. I agree with all what you wrote, but I think it is unjust to categorise the poster with a "control" stereotype. I tend to see her as an honest woman in need of solution to salvage her faltering marriage. Therefore, it is charitable if we give her the benefit of the doubt, knowing fully well that a lot of our brothers abroad are not the best of ambassadors. Marriage-for-visa is a very common but unpleasant practice of most of
our people. Ironically, they tend to have a compliant and complicit British nationals willing to further this illicit practice.

Still, looking down on people for one reason or the other is not restricted to black people alone. At the root of Hitler's aggression was the unfounded, unscientific, and crude notion of the superiority of the Aryan race. In fact, you will be amazed to realise that what you brilliantly observed between black British citizens and their African brethren is also common with white people.
I agree with you, but if the fuhrer chose to believe in the superiority of the Aryan race, should the black man also do the same? Must something be acceptable because the white man did it? Speaking of the Aryan race, it had nothing to do with geographical territory, per se, or one's nationality, but rather the origin of the indo-Iranian/indo-European peoples. Now my question is this: Did the so-called Black British/Black American people not originate from Africa, regardless of the colour of their passports?

So what if an African marries a white woman for visa? Did the whites not take our lands and plundered our resources? Do you know how many 'slaves' they took out of Africa? Read about apartheid in S/Africa, where farmers (white ones of course) have more than 20,000 hectares of land, which is roughly one-eighth the size of Lagos. How did they get the lands? Did they bring the lands from Britain/the Netherlands or wherever they came from? Or haven't you heard of the 1884-1885 Berlin conference where Africa was partitioned amongst the European powers as one would partition pizza? Please let us do away with sentiments. These people have bleeped us many many times over. The largest diamond ever found in the world today (the Cullinan diamond weighing around 600g) where was it found? South Africa. Who owns it? The British Monarchy. How much did they pay for it? Your guess is as good as mine...

Hmmmn. No wonder . Sorry about ur ordeal Mrs Nene. But to be frank with you. An average Nigeria wife would go to work every weekdays and still prepare breakfast for families. U keep talking about who will take care of the house. Is ur house a dustbin site or garage that u can't take care of it when ure back from work and moreover, u guys gat no kids ,so ,am kinda confused with the talk of who is gonna take care of the house bladderdash.
You are a somebody my brother for that comment. In her previous comments, she said she doesn't want to work so that they'll only live on one income. This is very selfish and the reason she's doing this is so that the man won't be able to send money to his folks in Nigeria. She can even do a part-time job, for say, 20 hours a week or work weekends, but no Mr African must provide because he has no choice, because without me he'll be deported. I'm talking from experience, those nairalanders taking sides with the op have no experience. My ex wife refused to work for three solid years, she could not even cook so no matter what time of the day I came back home, I had to cook for myself. She also expected me to bath the baby and clean the house too. If I send any money home, oh that one na world war III. Even if at first you loved the woman, I can assure you that love will die a natural death--and a fast one too! Every time there's an argument she'll threaten to kick me out of the house--on top my own house wen I dey pay rent!

Although your comment is needlessly laced with blistering odium and unnecessary expletives, this post, just as you aptly noted, should serve as an eye-opener to some guys here obsessed with white women. The grass is not always green on the other side.

However, this does not mean that I align with you in placing blame on the women for using visa as a tool of control. We don't have all the details, but from her explanation, I see someone eager to make her marriage work. We must admit that this issue is common with Africans, especially Nigerians, who always want to have their cake and eat it.
I get what you're trying to say, sir, but please try to read the op's original post and her subsequent replies to see how many times she's mentioned the word 'visa.' Maybe then you'll have a better understanding of what I'm saying. White people get divorced every day, I have even known white men who haven't slept with their wives for much longer than the op's husband hasn't slept with her, but do they go about saying, 'Oh my husband is not sleeping with me because he married me for papers?' White men cheat on their wives, in fact, they sire children without the knowledge of their wives. But if an African does this, heaven will fall. The instant conclusion would be that he married her for papers.
The op seems somewhat controlling, that is why perhaps she couldn't find a Black British guy to marry her so she settled for someone she can control: an African. After all, it is no hidden secret that Black British people tend to look down on Africans. They feel superior to Africans, they mock our accents. They complain of racism but they are racist towards Africans. That is why they say, 'oh I'm British,' 'I'm American.' And though they be as black as soot, if you call them Africans they take umbrage at it.

Being British doesn't necessarily mean her written English will be flawless and standard. We have a lot of people whose parents are migrants from non English speaking countries, who are nonetheless British citizens. It is clear in the poster's case, she is British by birth or residency, not by culture.
Firstly you should know that a vast majority of British people can't spell, even the so-called educated ones. They also do not speak proper English, only very few of them (less than 5% I would say) speak the received pronunciation, and the only way you can do that is to go to a public school, which is prohibitively expensive.

Lack of sex and intimacy in a relationship-

Is it ever ok to seek out another person if your boyfriend or husband doesn't show you any affection no cuddle /kisses nothing or says they are tired and unwilling to engage in ANY intimacy? Ongoing long term? huh

What would you do in this situation? ? We are recently married my husband is from Nigeria I'm British citizen.
I suspect you're the type that uses visa as a weapon, a tool to subjugate and dominate a man. He doesn't love you and I see reasons with him. You call yourself intelligent because you've been able to use his dependency on you for a visa to your advantage? You are the biggest fool in the world, you can eat your passport. I can tell you're the type that will even call the home office if he does something wrong. If he was Black British or perhaps wasn't dependent on you for a visa will you have the temerity to misbehave?
My advice to all men: Never ever trust a woman, a man that uses a woman as his head-pad to carry his load should know he's carrying his load on his bare head. To the wannabe jandos, this is what awaits you when you go abroad. Better remain in Nigeria jeje o before one idiot will trample not only on your rights but your manhood all in the name of visa. No be beans

And what if I have dabbled in diverse forms of spirituality, and found out that I preferred the Christian God? Even in the days of old, people who were opportuned to make contact with other tribes/civilizations changed their mode of spirituality/religion if they find out that it suits them better compared to the older one they grew up knowing.
It is like a child saying it prefers another woman to its own mother. In response to your comment about how in the days long bygone, people changed their ways and so on, my question is this: why did the white man not adopt our own ways? Why did he not adopt our own language and our own customs. After all the same white man said when in Rome behave like a Roman. The most painful thing about Christianity is abroad people do not go to church, white people o, the same ones who brought Christianity to us. And whenever you are accosted in the street by someone inviting you to his church, you can be certain it is a 'black' man. Have we no shame?

The Black Prayer
This is deep, so take your time.

Why Did You Make Me Black Lord
Lord .. Why did you make me black?
Why did you make someone
the world would hold back?...
Black is the color of dirty clothes,
of grimy hands and feet......
Black is the color of darkness,
of tired beaten streets...
Why did you give me thick lips,
a broad nose and kinky hair?
Why did you create someone
who receives the hated stare?
Black is the color of the bruised eye
when someone gets hurt...
Black is the color of darkness,
black is the color of dirt.
Why is my bone structure so thick,
my hips and cheeks so high?
Why are my eyes brown,
and not the color of the sky?
Why do people think I'm useless?
How come I feel so used?
Why do people see my skin
and think I should be abused?
Lord, I just don't understand...
What is it about my skin?
Why is it some people want to hate me
and not know the person within?
Black is what people are "Labeled"
when others want to keep them away...
Black is the color of shadows cast...
Black is the end of the day.
Lord you know my own people mistreat me,
and you know this just ain't right...
They don't like my hair, they don't like my
skin, as they say I'm too dark or too light!
Lord, don't you think
it's time to make a change?
Why don't you redo creation
and make everyone the same?

GOD'S REPLY:
Why did I make you black? Why did I make you black?
I made you in the color of coal
from which beautiful diamonds are formed...
I made you in the color of oil,
the black gold which keeps people warm.
Your color is the same as the rich dark soil
that grows the food you need...
Your color is the same as the black stallion and
panther, Oh what majestic creatures indeed!
All colors of the heavenly rainbow
can be found throughout every nation...
When all these colors are blended,
you become my greatest creation!
Your hair is the texture of lamb's wool,
such a beautiful creature is he...
I am the shepherd who watches them,
I will ALWAYS watch over thee!
You are the color of the midnight sky,
I put star glitter in your eyes...
There's a beautiful smile hidden behind your pain...
That's why your cheeks are so high!
You are the color of dark clouds
from the hurricanes I create in September...
I made your lips so full and thick,
so when you kiss...they will remember!
Your stature is strong,
your bone structure thick to withstand the
burden of time...
The reflection you see in the mirror,
that image that looks back, that is MINE!
So get off your knees,
look in the mirror and tell me what you see?
I didn't make you in the image of darkness...
I made you in the image of ME!
this poem was inspired by Genesis1:26-27
and written by RuNett Nia-Ebo
Genesis 1:26 and 27
And GOD said, "Let Us make man in Our image, and after Our likeness. So GOD created man in His own image, male and female He created them.

I don't know if you're actually a writer, but I think firstly as a writer, an African writer for that matter, you should know this black/white thing was perpetuated by the white man, they brought their Christianity and we had to give up our own gods, our own ways. As a writer you have no business with Christianity, stop quoting the Bible. You cannot say on the one hand you are a Christian and on the other hand moan about being black. Our ancestors never saw themselves as being black, they saw themselves as Igbo people or Tiv people or Kikuyu people or Zulu people, but never as being black. But the white men came and turned things upside down.

Leonardoreel:
I met her last year September and things seems to be going fine since then,
We have gone out on many occasions for shopping and spent nothing less than 50k on her on every shopping we went for, I was already drunk in love with her and planning on how to propose to her before my birthday this coming May.

She was kind towards me and caring, just the type every man will want to spend his life with, I used to react love and comment my true love on all her post but I observed she only like my comments without replying to it, I never thought to ask her why she only like and not replying to my comments, I thought maybe she doesn't want to disclose our relationship on social media, recently a male friend of her kept commenting on every post I had commented, his comments on the post was 'someone is loving you, reply to the person', and I do get notifications of the person comment but my GF never gave a reply to that until today when I got a notification on my FB, quickly opened my app to see the notification, to my utmost surprise, I saw my GF reply to the guy's comment 'He's in love with himself jare dm let's talk'.
I was perplexed and paralyzed on reading the reply then quickly picked up my phone to call her but she didn't pick and she hasn't picked my call since I read her reply...

I'm seriously heartbroken cuz I've done so much for this girl and decided I will take her to the altar, right now I'm being suicidal...
The Igbos say that: A man who uses a woman as his head-pad doesn't know that he is carrying his load on his bare head.
Mr op please kill yourself ossiso, quick quick, and at least we will have rid ourselves of one fool. 50k per shopping spree? Is your father Mobutu? Do you know how many solid pussies I can Bleep with 50k?
Men never listen. It is only a woman you will catch red-handed with a dick in her pussy, and yet she'll still claim it is a maize cob.

[color=#006600]I'm writing this here with sadness, being jobless is really causing me depression and I'm really losing it right now.
I studied Chemistry and I really need something doing to sustain my life even if not in chemistry line....Anytime I see my mum suffers it always brings out tears from my eyes because I'm supposed to be taking care of her by now.....All eyes on me to lift my family from suffering and yet nothing is coming up....
Pls if you can help me pls do,if you do you're not helping me alone but you're saving a life and helping my mum too.....I'm currently in Ondo State but I can work anywhere.
I've completed my NYSC.
My number 08132386289
God bless you as you're preparing your mind to save a life

I wonder why people have conditioned themselves into thinking that getting a job will solve all their life's woes. Even if you did get a job, besides it being a low-paying job, you could always get the sack. My advice is for you to recondition your mind. Look for alternatives. Try agriculture. In Ondo state it will probably cost less than 10,000 pa to lease a hectare of farmland, cultivate something (maize, perhaps).

LiteratureRe: "I Use To Smoke Hard Cigarette" Wole Soyinka Shares Throwback Photos by PharoahIII: 12:35pm On Dec 25, 2018
I wouldn't quite say that, Soyinka is an artist, Achebe was merely a storyteller. Soyinka wasn't so much of a storyteller but he was a more creative writer, his mastery of the English language is sublime. He's on par with the likes of Vladimir Nabokov, Faulkner, Samuel Beckett, and of course James Joyce,
His (Soyinka's) power of imagery is second to none.
However I must admit Things Fall Apart is the best thing to have happened to African literature.
