This op self no get sense, you don pay brideprice finish you come here dy ask questions? Talk of putting the cart before the horse? Oga shes your wife already. Congrats on your future suffering. You dated someone for 8 years and you did not think about all these until someone else had to point it out to you? I dont even think the op should be talking of marriage, he lacks common sense. |
I'm thinking along the lines of an auto service centre eg wheel balancing, diagnostics and troubleshooting, alignment and so on. The bus idea seems nice, but how does one go into transportation, do you just buy a bus and take it to the park and start loading? |
Which akwaibom? With their pothole-riddled roads? Is it abak road or itam or ibb, which one? |
I wonder if anyone can tell me what biz one can invest in to bring in say 300k every month, ideas anyone? |

I'm yet to come across any Nigerian who speaks as fluently as this man, not even soyinka or achebe comes close. |
Please can anyone in the house tell me the best mills or which area or LGA in akwaibom produces the best oils to buy, thanks in adv |
What book or books can one read all of this from, any ideas? |
The trouble with Nigeria are people like the idiot above me. The gods truly are angry, I dont think you'll find as many churches or mosques as there are in Nigeria in any other country in the world , yet we are just so backward. For a start imagine there was no Islam, then there's wont be boko haram, and all those thousands that have died would not have died. |
But you have lost already, all that's left now is damage control. I'm quite sure she's not even a virgin. For me to advise you I have to know whether or not she's truly a virgin |
sewaqueen: No problem, I will buy it, I will even buy 1 carton but you will let me test it on you after using it, if u agree them we hv a deal |
They are nomads, at least they still identify with their culture. The Igbos of the past carried bags like that made from goat pelt. That they no longer carry them today is because an average Southerner despises his heritage, he seeks to be an Anglophile. |
Do you expect someone building just one house to hire roofers, bricklayers etc on a permanent basis? |
I would love to explain to @ aconomist but I don't think any amount of explaining would do as he appears to be neck-deep in his conviction that he is a monkey and the white man is god, first and foremost that is an incredibly small house, secondly and more importantly, the concept of economies of scale is clearly playing out here. Assuming that guy builds 500 of such houses every year, my guess is that his labour costs will be greatly reduced. For example instead of paying each bricklayer a certain amount, say 70 naira, for each brick layed, he could just hire them on a permanent basis and pay them 50k per month. Imagine a brick layer lays 100 blocks a day, at the rate of 70 naira that will be 7000 a day for each bricklayer, and assuming a 5-day working week, that will amount to 140k a month. To save costs he can just employ them on a permanent basis and pay the min wage every month and give them daily targets. So the reason why the houses are cheap, my friend, has got LITTLE to do with building and EVERYTHING to do with economics. |
Firstly, the costs associated with building brick walls will be too astronomical, the volume of a 9 inch CMU is nearly 17 times that of a standard brick, which means that it would take 17 times more bricks to build a house than blocks. Now don't forget that walls made of bricks are almost always double-skinned, that is 2 layers of wall joined with mortar. So that means more and more and more mortar. Also the labour costs will be too high, imagine how much bricklayers will charge for laying 17 times more bricks! Not forgetting transportation costs of getting the bricks to the site, as more trips would be required. Thirdly clay bricks are expensive to make, well in Nigeria at least due to the epileptic power supply, as the clay will have to be baked in a kiln for days. Granted there are other alternative energy sources but that's topic for another day. Also in a tropical climate as yours using brick walls will be too hot as brick walls do appear to hold heat better than concrete blocks. As for wood, well all I can say is that the wood used abroad are 'engineered' to give it maximum strength. Do in conclusion Nigerian builders are not stupid |
Southerners are foolish. You notice Northern youths are not protesting. What does that tell you? Because, I see all these ENDSARS asking for the benefits of democracy. But in Nigeria democracy is in the hands of Northerners because they are the majority. So, if the Northerners don't want what you want, you will never get it UNDER Nigerian democracy. What the South should be asking for is: 1. Regionalism or 2. Secession. Otherwise, you are just wasting your time. After you burn down Lagos and the SW, then last last you will return back to the same Nigerian democracy where the North will continue to determine WHAT you get. Stupid people all over the South. Shame on you.
] You seem to be the only reasonable person on nairaland. Protesters are dying for nothing, any protest/uprising that does not have the backing of the north is doa, and if the worst comes to the worst, it would lead to a civil war between the north and south, as the northerners will see this as an excuse to topple the government. |
abeg who know the name of the song? |
The problem with most Nigerians is ignorance, I won’t condescend so low as to argue with people who’ve never even crossed Seme border before, people who’ve only been on one side of the fence but pretend to know what goes on on the other side. if you think abroad is Elysian, then think again. The difference between suffering in Nigeria and abroad is, in Nigeria the suffer comes gradually, only dealing a blow heavy enough to make one lose his footing, but not enough to knock you out completely. It gives you the chance to recuperate. But abroad, the suffering comes all at once, like a moving train, it hits you on every side, heavy enough to sink you into the ground. If you can survive it, then good for you, otherwise you go under. Imagine being homeless in the middle of December, in the middle of winter? I wonder which kind suffer for Nigeria fit reach this one? To those that have never experienced winter before, it is like living inside a deep freezer. |
@mistakemaker, one question for you, supposing every other country in the world was like Nigeria, where would you run to? |
10 years ago when I was leaving Nigeria for the UK, I arrived at the airport 1 hour before departure time, now in a few months’ time I will be going back to Nigeria for good, and what is interesting is that I will be arriving at the airport 6 hours before scheduled time. I just cannot wait to be amongst my people, a people at least that see me as a fellow human. We have an adage where I’m from that says that no matter how ugly-looking a monkey’s infant is, it would still be loved by its mother. |

with this list i now believe truly that Buni Lalong Elrufai Bagudu and co are secretly supporting Obaseki to win, forget Ganduje and Babachir Lawal, they do not have the ears of the cabal meaning no federal might on election day, Obaseki will win no two ways about it If they had even put uzodinma as head it would have made more sense but they put Ganduje, a known thief, so thief wan campaign for thief. Majority on that list are sympathetic towards Onaseki |
chai tinubu is now like a girl you only call wen konji dey do you strong thing, the moment you release inside her you dump her like hot dodo once tinubu hear say Buni dey come him go open pant, open leg com lie down for bed, just dey watch |
Corporate2020: tinubu was referring to oshobaba's acceptance of the president's dissolution of the now defunct nwc |
tinubu has very subtly thrown oshiomole under the bus, everyone knows tinubu is the instigator here, but because he is too scared of buhari, he's trying to absolve himself of any blame by laying it at the doorsteps of oshiomole et al. He is one of the strong, unforeseen forces operating from behind that he talked about. nitwit he has blamed everyone but himself |
ppl are hypocrites sha, @op u need to look on the bright side, sleeping with a prostitute is a lot cheaper, you'd have been a lot more depressed were you to have a girlfriend, and to those who think it's such bad thing to sleep with a prostitute, I ask, how many girls are not prostitutes in the Nigeria of today?? How are you sure your girlfriend or wife is not sleeping with a guy for money? There are two types of rostitute; resident and normadic prostitutes, the resident ones you'll find them in brothels, but the normadic ones (also mobile or domesticated prostitutes) you'll find them in your homes, and rather sadly are in the majority. they are peoples wives and girlfriends |
sex isnt about how many rounds u do, its about making her cum, a girl would rather have 1 round even half-round sef and cum than 50 rounds without cumming, but to answer your question, I'm a one rounder man, i do only one round kpere, but this one round would last for a minimum of two hours |
