@denzel2009, naija banks impose a surcharge if you make withdrawals less than 20k or so over the counter. They say they're trying to decongest the banking hall. so your advocation for people to drop their ATM cards won't hold much water coupled with the fact that if everyone dumps their cards, the banks will just abandon the idea of ATM instead of finding a lasting solution to the issue.

I think we are better off if they even abandon it or what use does it serve if your money is not safe?

After depositing some money in my AC i had to deactivate my ATM even though I dont respond to those naughty scammers.

I was in GTB abule egba when an old woman came complaining of unauthorised withdrawal from her ATM. She too had to deactivate the ATM.

If you do not have atm, there is no way they will withdraw your money from the atm with a card. The bank will have a lot to explain and we do not have much internet banking payments so your money should be safe by being careful and smart.

Both has a cup but the one for 2010 does not have and they all have that eagle eye.

You have taken this to a different level, just because she asked for a car doesn't mean you still can't build a house for her. This birthday gift is not part of our culture and using that as the benchmark to appreciate your wife is ridiculous to me. I know the importance of my wife, mother and father in my life and birthday gift is not the sole and only way to appreciate them.

There are many reasons to want a phone or a car for her birthday gift and that does not mean you cannot sit her down to tell her your plan of building a house for you. Building a house for your wife must not be a birthday gift but an appreciation of her worth in your life which you can do at anytime of the year or her life.

It doesn't have to be my father's, mother's or wife's birthday before i know that they need a house, car or whatever in the world. The goal is to appreciate people at anytime in their life and it is not a must that it should be their birthday.

Is there any written rule or law that says you have to give your wife the biggest or greatest gift only on her birthday?

Why spoil my special day with a gift i never wanted all in the name of surprise? The most important thing is to appreciate that your partner fulfilled your wish and not putting them into all these surprise test.

I can always study my partner and give her gifts from time to time on what i have observed that she likes but lacks at the moment.

As for your friend, i just pity her quest to find the elusive mr perfect.
