Starting up my life already Wouldn't want to make a mistake you can choose any state in the East but dont go for Ebonyi state, ee get why. Dont be fooled with that state alawee media propaganda, state is not paying and theres no room for self improvement or applying for professional courses within the state, i told you. Meanwhile Ebonyi pple are not friendly nor visitor accomodating |

neoclassical: If past governments have done half of what he is doing, by now we would have been talking about core human capital development. This is a lopsided economic model, since all the sector's cannot receive simultaneous investment. Let every government do its part since governance is a continuum. Youve spoken well but he can still make his workers live a comfortable life by not paying them salary nuts, after all these infrastructures, he will still need people for its maintenance even when he’s no longer the Governor of the state. |

neoclassical: I left Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki in 2007 after my first degree. During this period, Ebonyi, especially Abakaliki the State capital was derogatorily called "dust of the nation" instead of its slogan "Salt of the nation" due to bad terrain cum dusty environment that characterised the State in its entirety. Succinctly, Ebonyi State was synonymous to underdevelopment, due to high level of infrastructural decay that bedevilled the entire State.
However, I left Lagos on January, 2020 and I had a brief stop over at Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital to see a friend whose wife put to bed recently. Infact, what I saw in Abakaliki was awesome. I was speechless and dumbfounded. I had some mixed feelings about the level of infrastructural development that has taken place in Ebonyi State within the few years of Gov. Dave Umahi's leadership. The quality of works done on all the roads is mind blowing. The roads are built with concrete and rod, and most of them can last more than 50 years.
I nearly cried because it dawned on me that there is actually resources to develop this nation, if only our politicians will have the will to do so.
If Ebonyi State that receives some of the lowest budgetary allocation can turn the State around within four years, what happened to the allocations that accrued to the State prior to this time? What happened to the allocation other richer States received so far, yet their states remain purely underdeveloped and workers' salaries are not paid? Nigeria is really blessed with abundant human and material resources but wicked leaders are the bane of our development. Please this is purely devoid of sentiment nor partisanship. And from the bottom of my heart, I say, may God bless Gov. Dave Umahi. We should stop praising this man, if uve toiled Ebonyi very well, you will agre with me that Abakaliki, Afikpo north and Okposi which is the Governors village are the most developed part of Ebonyi state, hence the reason why pple see it and rain praises on him, upload pictures of other villages and lets see. most of the pictures i have been seeing here are mostly shot pictures of Abakaliki flyovers, only a part of Ebonyi is well developed while others are underdeveloped and left to a state of decay which is not worth all those praises. Human development is there too, he should consider paying his workers well. they are suffering under his nose. |

Good for her, she was well paid during her service year, reason why she could have savings to achieve all these

No electricity to opt in for any online business or freelancing, no water to take bath atimes, transportation cost to goto neibouring states for additional income is killing. service year has been hard for some while on the other hand it has been rewarding to some.
Congratulations lady, you are one of the wise ones |

Education › Re: Meet The Youngest Professor In The World by pheelhip(m): 6:02pm On Dec 31, 2015 |
Kofacts: The youngest professor in the world is the female genius, 19 year old, Alia Sabur. Alia Sabur (born February 22, 1989) is an American materials scientist and attorney.
Sabur was born in New York City, New York. Her mother, Julie Sabur (born Kessler), worked as a reporter for News12 Long Island until 1995. She married Mohammed Sabur, a Pakistan native, in 1980. Alia, born on February 22, 1989, showed early signs of giftedness. She tested “off the IQ scale,” according to an educator who tested her as a first-grader. As a fourth-grader, she left public school and was admitted to State University of New York at Stony Brook at the age of 10, later graduating summa cum laude at 14. She also received a black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 9.
After Stony Brook, Sabur attended Drexel University where she received her M.S. in 2006. Alia is recipient of the 2007 Dean fellowship from Drexel University. In 2007 she took a temporary position at Southern University in New Orleans afterHurricane Katrina.
Mathematics Career
On 19 February 2008, at 18 years of age (3 days before her 19th birthday), she was appointed to the position of International Professor as Research Liaison with Stony Brook University by the Dept. of Advanced Technology Fusion at Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea. The position was a temporary, one-year contract which she chose not to renew. The Guinness Book of World Records named Sabur the World’s Youngest Professor.
She began her position at the Department of Advanced Technology Fusion at Konkuk University in June 2008 and returned to her hometown of New York early 2009, without renewing her contract.
Her Graduate School Controversy
In 2008, Sabur filed a civil suit against Drexel University, claiming that the university engaged in fraud and defamation regarding Sabur’s pursuit of a doctoral degree. In the suit, Sabur charges that Yury Gogotsi, her former Ph.D. advisor, improperly used her research to apply for grants, and deliberately obstructed her degree. Trial proceedings began on August 9, 2010.
“But that was when I grew disillusioned with the science world. I saw bad conduct and realised that some professors weren’t motivated by a love of science. I fell out with the adviser who was supervising my PhD. I sued Drexel University in a civil lawsuit and the case has now gone into private, binding arbitration. I believe my adviser applied for grants and patents using my ideas, and took credit for them. He denies this and has accused me of stealing his work. Even though the university has cleared me of plagiarism it has still refused to award me my PhD.”, says Financial Times article.
This is the second lawsuit involving the Sabur family. In the previous one Alia Sabur’s “parents brought suit on behalf of their daughter and alleged that defendants board of education, its members, and the school district failed to provide their daughter with appropriate educational services in violation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act”. Six of the seven counts were dismissed
