A fair fixture for Nigeria considering Gnana's current form. Go for it Super Eagles!
So Sallah and Mane will fight each other for World Cup ticket...hmmmm
Would have loved to see both of them at the tournament but sadly, one of them is not going to make it... |

edwinhane: 2023: Southern CSOs back Amaechi for President
NIOBONG EKPONTA, Uyo
Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a coalition of socio-political groups, Southern Mandate Group (SMG) have declared their endorsement for the Minister of Transportation, Chief Chibuike Amaechi, noting that his experience in leadership various administrative positions recommend him for the nation’s political top job. Rising from their emergency meeting in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital, the CSO’s drawn from the 11 states in the South-South and Southeast declared that the former Rivers’ governor has the credentials to succeed the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, in 2023. Addressing Newsmen on Monday, stakeholders of the group led by the President-General, Comrade Chibuikem Nnabuihe and Secretary, Comrade Patrick Jasper Uduefe, National Secretary, endorsed Amaechi, as “a befitting aspirant for the job”. “Having studied the his performance in various positions as the two-term Speaker of the Rivers state House of Assembly; governor for two term; Chairman Nigeria’s Governor’s Forum; Minister for over six years, we the coalition of Southern CSOs have declared and affirmed supports for Mr. Amaechi. “We have resolved that the Southern block should ensure someone who has the capacity with inner love for the development of the country and capable of fostering national cohesion should be supported to lead the country”, Nnabuihe said. According to him, it was time for the electorates to “rise above petty sentiments of ethnicity, nepotism and other discriminatory factors, to sustain the tempo of developments as engineered by Buhari since 2015”.
“We are staunchly in support of Amaechi and our hope is the Presidency be zoned to Southern Nigeria in the greater interest of equity, fair play and justice”.
"As far as Nigeria's unity is concerned, Amaechi has demonstrated his disposition to the oneness and unity of Nigeria through his advocates concerning the indivisibility of Nigeria.
"During his era as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF), Amaechi did not run forum as his personal estate, but used the platform effectively to unite all political parties for the larger national interests. "It was during the period that all the governors on the platform of all political parties had to bury every political sentiments for the unity and peace of the country, irrespective of any poliyical affiliations. "As a Minister since 2015, Amaechi's record of performance is outstanding. He has been able to connect Nigeria from Abuja down South with rail lines criss-crossing the major cities in Nigeria. The Minister has distinguished himself in every national assignments within his office by helping President Buhari to achieve important mile stones in national development by ensuring major aspects of the government policies and programmes were implemented", he stressed, Nnabuihe, who commended President Buhari, for ensuring the unity of Nigeria amid pockets of security breaches in parts of the country, assured that “Amaechi will consolidate”. "Amaechi is a strong nationalist with total devotion to fixing the country by consolidating on the President Buhari", he added and vowed to set aside a day for peaceful rally to impress it on the Minister to run in 2023. "We will soon come up with a date for all well meaning Nigerians desiring peace, development and unity through good governance to demonstrate for the Minister of Transportation, a true son of the South, to fly Nigeria's flag in 2023", he stressed. FreeStuffsNG: Asiwaju Tinubu enjoys a cult-like following. By the time election campaign starts, you will see Musicians join the fray like it was done for HE Ambode and HE Fashola's campaigns. Please, if you are a patriotic Nigerian and you have a valid pvc and ready to vote, please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu. Asiwaju Tinubu is extremely capable and competent to lead Nigeria to greater heights. Asiwaju Tinubu is an experienced public administrator and a Patriot . Only a true Patriot is good enough for Nigeria and Asiwaju Tinubu perfectly fits that model of a Patriot to the core. May God bless Nigeria forever.
All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. They always lose. He nominated VP Osinbajo and he has done well. I have great respect for BAT. If he wins, I see him hitting the ground running. Sure he's got the list of his ministers already. I see him coming up with great policies that would make a difference I wish him best of luck. |

Politics › Re: Why Tinubu Nomination Will Give The PDP A Presidential Choice Dilemma. by phelps007: 2:51pm On Jan 20, 2022 |
doctokwus: To be honest with you,I am still asking myself the same question. But I am not rooting for Tinubu o,just looking at the mathematics IF he emerges the APC candidate vis-a-vis a Northern PDP candidate. Let's also face reality here: The Nigerian political space has become akin to that of the US,just 2 major parties and the president will always emerge from either of these 2,unless another major party from elements of these 2,is formed. Much as a Moghalu for eg maybe a very good presidential material the structure is not just there to usurp either major party candidate and just like in the US,the majority of the voting is done on party lines by members, affiliates or financially induced electorates of either party. Obiano had an opportunity to make APGA a formidable national party, but he chickened out. I am thus analysing the Nigerian political space as a realist,no matter how horrible the present person and his party of liars and criminals, has performed. The likes of Moghalu wont even get the up to the number of votes required especially up north. Baba garnered 21,886 nationwide during the last presidential election. Infact Fela Durotoye polled 16,779. |

olabukola: "He also wrote about Tinubu’s frustration with the entire rigmarole, eventually opting to leave Abuja for Lagos.
“I don’t want to be part of whatever you are discussing now, ‘he said. ‘I don’t trust Buhari anymore! Even if we give him names, he may decide to go outside the list. So, let him choose on his own. He was unhappy with Buhari." Bisi Akande.
Is Baba helping Jagaban aspiration with this extract from his recently launched book? For me this statement isn't in good faith. PMB will be ex president by May 29, 2023. He cannot single handedly determine who wins APC Presidential primaries or who becomes the next president. BAT's nationwide influence and force is bigger than what one man can stop no matter how powerful. Majority of the key stakeholders in APC are already with BAT. If you can't beat them, you join them. |

BAT 2023..
People should just sit and analyse very well.
In Nigeria politics presently, Which other Presidential aspirant is more popular than BAT and can defeat him at the general polls? Who please... Elections are not won on social media. Some people on SM don't even have voters card. Those that wailed endlessly in 2015 and 2019 are back at it again.
I hope and pray for a better country under President BAT. God bless Nigeria. |

INTEGRITYA1: In my own opinion, I don't think Osinbajo will really want to go into Presidential race with Tinubu; looking at the circumstances surrounding how he became the Vice President.
But we are following with keen interest. You are smart. Osinbajo cannot defeat Tinubu at the primaries. He had better caution all his attack dogs now so as not to get the Ambode treatment at the end of his VP tenure. |

RealLordZeus: Oga sanusi, I understand your perspective being a fervent advocate of the removal of this elite benefiting fraud tagged subsidy however removig subsidy in this present situation is like putting the final nail to this admin coffin, with inflation at its highest point and sapa being the new national anthem, removing subsidy might just be the breaking point.
Although there will never be a good time to do it but your questions should first go like, why are our refineries not working after spending so much; why are we budgeting yearly for this moribund facilities; all the turn around maintenace, why are they not yielding results" If we resolve this on the government side, then we can discuss subsidy removal but as for me and my household, i take God beg una, no add high cost of fuel wahala join the present situation God bless you. |
