Seunomobo:Thanks for your reply, and I appreciate the way you expressed your thoughts. Just to clarify something important: I never said your personal experience with Dapo was wrong. Experiences differ — yours is valid, and so is mine. What I was addressing was not the content of your memory, but the implication of posting such narratives at a very sensitive moment. When I talked about responsibility, it wasn’t an attack on your story. It was a reminder that when allegations are fresh and investigations are ongoing, the way we frame someone — whether positively or negatively — can inflame public judgment. You shared your encounter with him, including the part where he had anger issues and stormed out of a group. I shared my own caution about timing. Both realities can coexist without contradicting each other. As for asking you not to share his photos and narrative — it wasn’t about censorship. It was about the fact that adding more layers to an already heated online space can unintentionally shape how people interpret the case. Yes, the pictures are already everywhere, but we all know reposting and reframing can amplify things quickly. Again, I’m not dismissing your perspective. I only emphasized balance and caution, because once something is online, it takes on a life of its own. At the end of the day, we are both saying the same thing: Let the authorities conclude their investigation. Let the truth come out clearly. And may justice — real justice — prevail. No sentiments. No assumptions. No social media trial. |
Seunomobo:I think it’s important we all remain responsible with what we share publicly—especially when it involves someone’s picture and an ongoing allegation. Posting Dapo’s photos alongside a narrative that may not reflect the full truth can easily influence public perception in a way that is unfair and potentially harmful. Those of us who knew Dapo many years ago may have different experiences of him, but none of us is in the position to conclude anything about this present case. The matter is already with the authorities, and it’s only right to allow the investigation and the justice system to run their full course. Let’s be mindful of the impact our posts can have—not just on the individual involved, but on their family and everyone connected. Whatever the truth is, may it come out clearly, and may justice be served without trial by social media. |

tundegan:In summary, Nyesom Wike is connected with the Ahithophel spirit through perceived traits and political behaviors that mirror those of Ahithophel, the biblical advisor to King David who turned against him. The Ahithophel spirit represents offense, betrayal, manipulation, and seeking influence through strategic counsel—often for personal revenge or political gain. Wike, once a loyal member of the PDP and influential in its affairs, was later seen by many as betraying his party, especially during the 2023 elections when he supported opposition interests against his own party’s presidential candidate. This shift is interpreted by some as driven by offense, unmet expectations, or a quest for personal relevance—echoing Ahithophel’s actions after being bypassed by Absalom. The comparison draws attention to how unresolved offense and ambition can lead influential leaders to become agents of division, even when they initially served with wisdom and loyalty. Have you ever wondered how unresolved offense can shape the destiny of leaders—and even nations? The Ahithophel Spirit: What Nyesom Wike’s Story Teaches Us About Power, Offense & Betrayal is a timely book that explores the dangerous consequences of betrayal and the subtle poison of offense in leadership. Drawing powerful parallels between the biblical figure Ahithophel and the political journey of Nyesom Wike, this book blends scriptural wisdom with real-life Nigerian politics to reveal how offense, when unchecked, can lead to catastrophic decisions—even among the most gifted leaders. If you are a pastor, politician, or a patriotic Nigerian who desires healing and understanding in a time of political and spiritual confusion, this book is for you. |

Nigeria has a rich football history, and its indigenous coaches have played significant roles in shaping the national team. Over the years, several Nigerian coaches have led the Super Eagles, some achieving great success while others faced challenges that cut short their tenures. Here’s where the last five indigenous Super Eagles coaches are today and the challenges they faced during and after their time in charge. 1. Drama as bridegroom walks out of engagement ceremony in Imo State due to extortion. He paid N1,500,000 to cater for food, tents, chairs and a public address system. He was also made to set aside N100,000 as the bride price that the two families had agreed on. Biobelemoye David was asked to add N50,000 to the bride price because he had already impregnated the girl. He was slapped with a N10,000 fine for making a detour to the wrong path and ending up in a different homestead other than the girl's. He was also asked to pay N15,000 to appease the elders who had become tired of waiting for his arrival. Drama however ensued when twelve girls covered in loose robes from head to toe were paraded before Biobelemoye David and he was asked to guess who his fiancée was. He pointed at the wrong woman and that led to yet another fine of N15,000. The decisive moment specifically was when the elders demanded for a refund of the total sum of N850,000 that had been paid as the girl's school fees and upkeep since she started primary school! Fuming with anger which he tried his best to hide, Biobelemoye David excused himself to visit a nearby latrine and disappeared! He switched off his phone and was last seen at a bus heading to Bayelsa State from Imo. #GbengalawyBlog |

Well, the story long but I will keep this one short. I am on the HCPC register in the UK as a biomedical scientist and I thought that enough is going to make me hot cake for NHS job but the contrary was the case. I have started applying from Nigeria before my wife got a care job that moved us up here and I did just one virtual interview while in Nigeria. I started applying from 2022 purely for biomedical jobs and to no avail i only got one invite which didn't even bother to give me feedback about my application. The key thing here is never to give up and keep on applying and this paid off eventually. I was concentrating on the clinical scientist part and was not considering other sectors and this made me get a whole lot of "unfotunatelys". However, i decided to spread my net to catch more fishes and started applying for other roles mostly nonclinical roles and this little fact got me over 10 interviews. I was getting interviews and the problem now was how to put the right word in to get the job. This is basically done by studying the JD well enough and also identify the trusts values in responses. I discovered they just want you to sound right. The long wait ended when I got the call that I will be placed on reserve for that role i interviewed for which has never happened before and 2 weeks later I was called for the offer. Persistence is very key here and perseverance and patience. |
It was not a funny situation on that fateful day, a day I will never forget in a jiffy, I went visiting my then "afesono's" folks, we where in a clandestine relationship, nobody knew we were dating for almost a year, nobody knew fa. Omo olomo didn't want attention. My dove knows how to keep secrets, we had secret codes of communication but on that day to remember I forgot about the time, mehn we really had loads of fun in those days and we still do now with my daughter joining the mix. She suggested I sleep over, but I had to go, I had to send some reports to Oga Pascal, it was almost 11pm her "angwa" was dark and to top it off NEPA made sure the moon was the only source of illumination. In other for her not to trek back alone, her younger brother( my now bro in-law) had to tag along in other for him to chaperone my queen back home. So on our way to the main road where I will take keke to my stop, we heard shouts not too far from us about some group of boys pursuing a suspected thief from the main road not too far from us, and as law abiding citizens we reduced pace in order for them to chase whoever it is pass us so we can go on our own way without interference. If I had known what was about to happen sha, omo the story long o. If I had known, I would have listen to her and pass the night at her folks place, but God used this experience to teach me a lesson, only God knows why I needed to suffer for me to hear "word" from God. I no dey hear word o, most people know say I stubborn gan. Before we could say "Bala blu", my brother in-law freaked out and sprinted off like a Hussein Bolt ahead of the pack and this goons chasing after the suspected thief, and suddenly, others joined in the chase and they stopped chasing the thief, (more of these goons chasing the park joined from a burukutu joint close to the road) changed course and started chasing after my brother in-law, this boy overtook the thief, and took his place. Till date I don't really know why bros ran like thief, what or which spirit entered him, may be spirit of Elijah sha, after that incident, it was weird coz he couldn't explain what got into him. OK sha, the whole thing was getting more heated up and interesting when they couldn't catch up with him, and we also have to run after him, calling & shouting his name, only God knows why he was running like muribay & why he couldn't stop. my babe was shouting "he is not a thief oooo" he's my brother ooo! Muribay stop! Muribay oooo. Him name no b Muribay. (*Muribay is a pseudo name.) When they couldn't catch up with him, and the thief who was their person, as in the thief ran home, in other to cover him up, they pounced on me, and me being the only foreigner in their midst, ofcourse they couldn't catch up with my bro in-law too, he was long gone, gunners Lomo. These dude brought out clubs and sticks and started clubbing me, me that didn't know anything, they started ranting in Hausa that I am the thief, my queen left her bro and covered me up, started calling their names because the are all her area boys in her lungu It wasnt funny anymore, the reality here is that I was being lynched, far away from home, in the dead of the night, for minding my own business, this is Nigeria, jungle justice style, awon werey fe PA Ina Jesus, I was scared, beaten, battered but this girl didn't leave my side fa, she took alot of beatings and blows too, and to make matters worse, I didn't understand all the Hausa rants, I was confused.. They have to stop beating me shitless because of her and the whole rubbish happened within 30mins, I already had numerous koko on my head. The whole thing cleared off, and they stepped back after an elderly man brought my bro in-law back after he was caught hiding in his poultry. Na only God know why he didn't run home. The dude didn't run home, he ran pass his father's house and went to hide in a poultry shed, when they brought him back and also recognized he was not the actual thief we had to head back home to sleep and report case to my wife's mom, I was really dealt with, I received enough kondo for head. I recieved the beating of my life, that night God showed me my wife! I could not afford to loose this selfless girl that took blows on my behalf, covered me, shielded me from my enemies... So #Sept5 in a few weeks baby, It's always a day to specially celebrate my lovely you. |

A student at Columbia University in the United States fell asleep during a mathematics lecture, and then woke up to the sound of the students’ voices. When the lecture ended, he found that the doctor had written two problems on the blackboard. He said to himself, “Sure, homework problems.” He transferred them to his notebook in order to solve them at home. When he tried, he found that they were very difficult...but he kept trying and trying and going to the library to get references and research until he was able with difficulty to solve only one problem. In the lecture that followed, he noticed that the doctor did not ask about the assignment! So the student got up and asked him: “Doctor, why didn’t you ask about the assignment for the previous lecture?” The doctor said: “Obligatory?... It was not obligatory. Rather, I was presenting to you examples of mathematical problems that science and scientists were unable to solve!” The student was amazed and said: “But I solved one of them in four papers!” The solution to the problem was recorded at Columbia University and is known by his name. This issue, with its four papers, is still on display at the university to this day This student solved the problem for one reason... because he did not hear the doctor say: “No one could find their solution.” He convinced himself that it had to be solved... so when he tried it without the effects of frustration, he solved it. Do not listen to those who tell you that you cannot, as happens to the majority of our youth who are saturated with negative energies, especially from some trumpets that want to sow failure and frustration in their souls. You can achieve your dreams, reach your goal, and overcome all difficulties. Just trust in God, try and repeat the attempts. |
Gift7428:Let me give a gist. It's not quite easy to land a job in biomedical science here in UK if you are deviod of UK experience. I am on the register and I keep getting refused sometimes without reason when I apply for UK NHS jobs. |
