President Muhammadu Buhari is not happy with the Department of State Security Service and has ordered the agency to hand over the case of judges it arrested to the EFCC.

President Muhammadu Buhari, reportedly ordered the Department of State Security to hand over the cases of Judges it is handling to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as he is unhappy with the work of the DSS after a team of lawyers reviewed the evidence gathered from the agency’s recent raid on judges suspected of corruption, according to a report by SaharaReporters.

The decision, it is believed became pertinent following the delay in filing charges against the judges, and the shoddiness of the performance of DSS gave some of the judges the opportunity to start recanting their statements and twisting the facts of their cases.

After weeks of reviewing the evidence assembled by DSS, as well as the statements made by the judges involved, the president is said to be unsatisfied with the conduct of the investigation as he wants it to be handled more professionally.

The immediate past Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, has faulted claims that 19 assorted vehicles, belonging to the Nigeria Police Force, were recovered from him.

He also raised the alarm that some forces were bent on tarnishing his image, challenging his critics to make public the number plates of such recovered vehicles and where they were recovered from.

Arase, in a statement he signed in Abuja on Monday, warned that he would not hesitate to seek legal redress if those desperate to tarnish his image failed to desist.

His reaction came on the heels of a similar allegation on July 18, which followed a media report that 19 out of 24 vehicles he allegedly took away upon retirement had been recovered from him.

Arase said, “It is embarrassing for me to wake up on Monday morning to be inundated with calls and messages on the purported 19 vehicles recovered from me. I wish to reassure the general public that there was nothing like that. Like I said in July, I did not take any police vehicle with me outside what I was entitled to, and so, there couldn’t have been any vehicle recovered from me.

These days, it seems like every church has wedding guidelines, including Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM). Check it out
On October 18, 2016, the Internet was shocked to learn of the wedding requirements of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), House of David.
These conditions included: a mandatory well tailored two piece suit for the groom, gaining approval of the bride’s wedding dress, taking a pregnancy test at the church designated hospital and lot more.
Now, a list of do’s and don’ts for the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has been released.
10 conditions can be found on the front of the form, with seven other questions at the back.
These requirements include:
1. Simple haircut for the groom and his men,
2. No attachments for the bride or her bridesmaids,
3. Compulsory screening of the wedding dress, just like the RCCG House of David,
4. No flower girls or ring bearers.
At the back, the intending couple also has a list of requirements to follow. These are:
1. Compulsory six-month courtship,
2. Mandatory pre-marriage lectures of both husband and wife-to-be,
3. Inspection of the husband-to-be’s home.
Afterwards, the couple have to fill out their name, date and signature.
Wow, it is beginning to look like churches do not want their youth to get married.

The detained former Minister of State (Defence) Musiliu Obanikoro yesterday made more revelations on how the N4.745billion wired to a company linked to him by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) was shared.


The money comprised N4.685billon transferred to Sylva McNamara Limited and N60million ($5.77m) cash personally given to Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose by the ex-Minister.

Fayose issued a statement yesterday, saying Obanikoro’s return from overseas was planned to nail him. He did not deny receiving money from the former minister.

Obanikoro told Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detectives that N3.880billion was allocated to Fayose and Sen. Iyiola Omisore out of the cash.

He also said he handed over $5.377m cash to Fayose at Spotless Hotel, Ado-Ekiti in the presence of the former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Dr. Tope Aluko, and other party stalwarts.

He reportedly demonstrated how Fayose collected the cash and put it “in the room next to where we were seated”.

The ex-minister, who made the disclosures during another round of grilling, said there were heaps of bank transfers to buttress his statement.

He said: “Out of N4.685billon transferred to Sylva McNamara Limited, N3.880billion was transferred to both Ayodele Fayose and Senator Omisore through cash and bank transfers.

“The dollars contents were handed over to Fayose personally by me in the presence of some party leaders and he collected it and took it to the room next to where we were all seated.

“The location where I gave the dollars to him is called Spotless Hotel, Ado-Ekiti. One of the party leaders that was present is Dr. Tope Aluko, who was then the secretary of our party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“I transferred N1.7 billion to Omisore. The money was paid into his account and companies nominated by him. He gave the list of companies for the transfer of the N1.7billion that was released by the NSA to him.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on President Muhamamdu Buhari-led Federal Government not to sweep under the carpet, the allegation by Justice John Inyang Okoro of the Supreme Court, that the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, approached him to compromise the Akwa Ibom, Rivers and Abia governorship petitions in favour of APC candidates.

The party also called for an inquest into Amaechi’s tenure as governor of Rivers State between 2007 and 2015.


Justice Okoro, in a letter addressed to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, alleged that Amaechi and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Akwa Ibom State, Umana Umana, promised to pay him millions of naira as monthly allowance if he could tilt the cause of justice in favour of the APC candidate.

The apex court justice believes that his present travails in the hands of the Department of State Services (DSS) was in connection with the verbal report he made to the CJN regarding the visits made to him by Amaechi and Umana.

“My Lord, I strongly believe that this my travail is not unconnected with the verbal report I made to you on 1st, February, 2016, about the visit to my official residence by Rotimi Amaechi, former governor of Rivers State and now minister of transportation.

“In that report, I told you, My Lord, that Mr. Amaechi said that the president of Nigeria and the All Progressives Congress (APC) mandated him to inform me that they must win their election appeals in respect of Rivers State, Akwa Ibom State and Abia State at all costs”.

The party said: “this allegation is grievous, dangerous, criminal and unhealthy for our democracy and the rule of law.

“This information by a high ranking judge must not be swept under the carpet like previous petitions and the report of the Rivers State Judiciary Commission of Inquiry that revealed so many misappropriations of funds by the former governor when he held sway from 2007 to 2015,” the statement warned.

PDP called on the President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency, investigate this allegation levelled against his Minister and Umana, and bring the alleged perpetrators to justice.

13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

MESSAGE:

In the Bible reading, Jesus Christ commended the Church in Pergamos, reassuring them that nothing about them is hidden from Him. The interesting thing about this Church is that in spite of the nearness of the Church to the seat of Satan, they still held on to the Name of Jesus Christ, they never denied their faith even in the face of terrible persecution. However, Jesus Christ had a serious allegation against them. They tolerated in their midst those who were holding on to and practising false doctrines. This is a food for thought for Christians of the 21st century. In this end-time, we compromise a lot of the apostolic orthodox in the name of civilization and fundamental human rights. We have forgotten that just as God is not a democrat, He is also not a human activist. He has His set of rules that we must abide by, however, we compromise this divine standard because we think we can through that, win these blasphemers into the Kingdom. As a matter of fact, because we have tolerated them so much, they now see themselves as Christians too, setting worldly standard for the Church as they dangle their wealth at the saints.

Will Jesus not hate such a compromise in the name of magnanimity when it becomes a stumbling block to the saints? The saints are living their first love because of the doctrine of Balaam. This compromise spoiled the good works of the Church in Pergamos. In Revelations 2:16, Jesus warned the Church:

“Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.”

One major revelation in this passage is that the message of repentance was preached to the Church in Pergamos. We are hereby encouraged to heed this warning too, so that we can overcome these temptations through genuine repentance. When we overcome, our reward will be the hidden manna and a testimonial of perfection written on precious stone.

Beloved, do not be deceived by your longevity in Church. God knows your works and He will reward you accordingly.

Prayer Point: Father, help me to disassociate myself from worldly pollution.

National Service Youth Corps, NYSC 2016 Batch ‘B’ corps members online registration details. Requirements for registration/mobilization of graduates .

This is to inform all prospective corps members, i.e. Nigerians who have graduated from Universities and Mono/Polytechnics both at home and abroad that the NYSC On-line registration portal will be opened from 17th October – 12th November 2016 to enable them register for the 2016 Batch ‘B’ mobilization.
In order to ensure a seamless registration, prospective corps members are to note the following for strict compliance:

Prospective Corps members should ensure that they have valid and functional e-mail addresses that they can access and Nigerian (GSM) telephone numbers with which to register.
Locally trained prospective Corps members are expected to use correct JAMB and Matriculation numbers to register
For locally-trained graduates, only those whose names appear in the Senate/Academic Board Approved Result lists submitted by their Institutions will have access to the register on the NYSC portal.
Foreign-trained prospective corps members should ensure that their Institutions are accredited. Where in doubt, it is their responsibility to approach Federal Ministry of Education for verification. The letter of verification must be uploaded during registration.
Foreign-trained graduates from Ghana and Benin Republic must obtain letters of verification and upload same for mobilisation to be effective.
Those who graduated from Institutions outside Nigeria, (Foreign-trained graduates), are to visit the NYSC portal, register and upload the following documents:
West African School Certificate(WASC) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent,
General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent,
NECO (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent
High School Diploma or its equivalent.
First Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate (Second Degree or Ph.D not necessary). Letter of attestation will not be accepted, Please.
Transcript of the first Degree or HND.
International travelling Passport showing data page and date of departure for the course of study. (Please note that you must present the originals of the above during verification at the Orientation camp).
Letters of verification for graduates of Institutions in Ghana, Benin Republic and any other Institution whose accreditation is in doubt.
It is the responsibility of the prospective corps members who studied in non-English speaking countries to get their Certificates and Transcripts translated into English language before uploading.
All graduates of Medicine, Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory Science are expected to have their Certificates of Registration with Nigerian Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (NMDCN), Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria respectively and upload during registration. Payment receipts are not acceptable.
Unlike in the past, Foreign-trained graduates should not visit NYSC Headquarters, Abuja for verification of their documents. This exercise will now be done at the Orientation Camps. They should simply print their call-up letters on-line and report at the Orientation camps in their States of deployment, but should come to the camp with the original documents uploaded during registration for verification.
Anybody who presents any fake document will be demobilized and decamped. Also, anybody not available in camp for the verification will equally be demobilized.
Prospective corps members should ensure that Passport photographs used meet the following specifications:
Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth and jaw) is fully shown without bending
Ensure the picture is centralized and fills the frame
Ensure the Photo background is white or off-white with no shade.... .
